Then had the inserts heated up and put it all together and wore them for about 15 minutes while everything molded to my foot, ankle, and leg shape. For me this was big. My feet are 2 different lengths and 2 different widths and they both slightly curve inward. So the boots that are more reputable and higher end don't fit for me. I have suffered with the lower end, more generic, style boot because my foot shape. The employee was knowledgeable and easily conveyed the benefits of these mods. When I went out the next day it was really the first time I could keep my boots on all day. The realization that this is the comfort that most other people enjoy and this is what I've been missing this whole time. My friend said to me mid day that my form and technique improved significantly over last year and this was the first day back for the season. Long story short, get the custom foot beds and get your inserts heated and molded. It will be the best thing you can do for yourself and your skiing experience. The confidence you gain by having a solid foundation allowed me to really enjoy skiing at a higher level. Sports Outlet has really improved and upped their game.

I was stopped at the front of the store, right by the cash registers, in full view of everyone coming and going. Multiple employees surrounded me while they searched my purse and my person. It was one of the most humiliating experiences I've ever had, especially knowing I had done nothing wrong. After they found nothing, one employee quietly apologized to me. What hurt the most was that there was never a public acknowledgment that I hadn't stolen anything or a public apology in front of all the people who had just watched me be treated like I had stolen something. Instead, I was left to walk away carrying the embarrassment and humiliation on my own. I went home in tears that day, and I have never been back. I genuinely used to enjoy shopping there, but the way that situation was handled changed that for me completely. I recently shared this experience in a comment on one of The General Store's TikTok posts about how amazing their store is. I wasn't trying to be hateful or disrespectful. I shared it because this experience genuinely hurt me, and I felt that customers should be able to speak honestly about how they have been treated. What was especially disappointing was their response. Rather than reaching out to say, "We're sorry this happened to you," acknowledging how the situation was handled, or letting me know that steps had been taken to prevent another customer from having a similar experience, they blocked me. That response was incredibly disappointing. I wasn't looking for anything from them other than some accountability and acknowledgment that the way I was treated was hurtful and humiliating. Being blocked for respectfully sharing my experience left me feeling as though protecting the store's image mattered more than hearing from a customer who had been deeply hurt by the way she was treated.

Also, pleased with the options that they have here, might not have hundreds and thousands of things but they will meet your needs more often than not. Was looking out for a ping pong paddle, not a professional one but just fit enough to play every now and then. And I got one .. for good price too. There were discounts and I did not feel a need to look somewhere else. On the other time .. we were looking out for a walking shoe for missus .. and yeah found the exact one we were looking for. This was previously a 5 star review from my experiences with customer service. I run a nonprofit horse rescue and get coupons from Purina for horse feed. I have frequent problems with them, but today was the worst. I was running behind and despite my clear communication that I was giving her 3 coupons (said 3 times), she only rung up one. We had already swiped the card, so she had to process a refund. I expressed I was running short on time and she said it would be quick. She then processed an EXCHANGE and called us "even" and wanted to ring me back up for the 2 coupons she had missed. So she wanted me to buy 2 bags of senior feed ($29) at full price, not need or get a real exchange, then pay the discounted price ($9) for the same two bags. At this point a manager (Jim) had come up and was backing her up saying it all made sense and that we were "even." Though I had been charged too much and not refunded anything and they wanted more of my money. I asked him for reassurance this wouldn't happen again and he just mansplained that the job was hard. No apologies, nothing. The customer service rep (Sheila) was the only thing that saved the situation by understanding the situation and taking over to help process our refund and get our coupons applied. I spend hundreds of dollars in this store weekly, and this situation has me considering finding a new feed store that actually supports nonprofits and the coupons we need to keep working. If I do go back, Sheila will be the only reason. I am extremely disappointed in this situation.
