I have nothing personally against Dr. Ambler as I don't even know the man. I do however know that…read morehe has a PA by the name of Kathy Glenn Roberts aka Kathleen Glenn whom was previously employed at the Medical Center on Hammond Lane and I was a patient of her. I needed a PCP at the time so I had called the Great North Medical Ctr. and she was whom I was assigned to not a Doctor but a PA pretending to be a Doctor. She seemed pleasant enough at first until she started to diagnose me with all kinds of illnesses that I was sure I didn't have, My wife came to an office visit with me at one point and told her that I did not have Hypertension , I had what was called "white coat syndrome" she had an immediate dislike for my wife, My wife suggested a BP monitor Kathy agreed. Bottom line I wore the monitor for 48 hrs and returned , results all normal NO high BP reading. This PA was too quick to try to prescribe an RX for something I didn't need. Then she started in on a load of other things , when I felt perfectly healthy. The only issue I did develop was a belly button hernia which I knew needed surgery , my wife scheduled it in VT and I went to an appt. to see Kathleen for the referral before she knew the appointment in VT had already been made, she started to tell me she would set up an appointment with some surgeon in Plattsburgh and I said NO, I am already set up for a Surgeon in VT , I just need the referral faxed over to them for insurances purposes, She was pissed off and knew my wife had set it up. I said , I want to live and there are NO specialist in Plattsburgh for this type of surgery. I did have the surgery and all went well. I finally decided to get a new PCP and I heard Kathy was leaving anyway so great time to change. I asked for all my records which were paper at that time , I was totally blown away by some of the things she has written in MY medical record. She had wrote more about my wife than me, stating that my wife caused me stress ! What ? I never told her such a thing , my wife caused HER stress. I did not like the unprofessional things she wrote about my wife in my medical records that had no reason to had been written and were not true. Kathleen Glenn is a wanna be Doctor with no personality , no as they say bed side manner, rude , drug pusher, quick to diagnose and should not be allowed to be practicing medicine unless under strict supervision if at all. I would not bring an animal to her. If I am wrong and she is no longer at Dr. Ambler's , I apologize to the office. If she is there DO not accept her as your PCP she's a know it all and know's nothing.

Terrible. no results after hours of sitting around. had my wife sitting in a chair in a hallway…read morewhen there was many empty beds and rooms next to where she was sitting. asked for into as I was sitting for hours and couldn't get any information on what was going on with her. When she asked she was told she was More the welcome to leave so that's exactly what we did. Wouldn't recommend. multiple employees were very rude and didn't seem to care about the patients. Had people just sitting around in waiting room waiting and lik I said everything looked pretty empty and when they asked for info on times the were given no info. They didn't seem to know anything about anything

I went to the adolescent inpatient facility last year, and the experience as a whole was flat out…read morehorrific. I was struggling to even get through meals and my intrusive thoughts due to my mental health situation at the time and was basically told that it was all my fault and that I wasn't doing enough to get better. I genuinely tried to see life in a different manner and the fact that Dr. Bailey (Alexis M. Bailey) made it harder to see that shows the hypocrisy in her promises to help and support the adolescent. I was told such rude remarks SPECIFICALLY and mainly by her (the psychiatrist on my team btw) and everything I said had a disrespectful comeback from her. I was reminded over and over that it was a voluntary program, therefore I left the facility and told everyone I knew that was struggling to never go there. I was struggling to extreme lengths and was not met with any support by anyone there, especially not by my team. Not to mention they bring in, like, over ten students to watch and take notes of your sessions with your team, which were filled with no supportive efforts by your own team, which made me feel so humiliated and embarrassed to the point where every meeting was filled with me being berated and hiccup-crying the entire time. If you are struggling, definitely choose somewhere else, as they only made me feel worse about myself and decided to drop me and send me to a residential program because they didn't know what to do about my eating disorder. If your kid is going inpatient, there is probably some levels of trauma in your kid that factored in this decision, and if you have "Dr. Bailey" as your psychiatrist, be prepared to be completely invalidated, ESPECIALLY if your situation is more "complicated" than a "couple steps to success."
