Terrible. no results after hours of sitting around. had my wife sitting in a chair in a hallway when there was many empty beds and rooms next to where she was sitting. asked for into as I was sitting for hours and couldn't get any information on what was going on with her. When she asked she was told she was More the welcome to leave so that's exactly what we did. Wouldn't recommend. multiple employees were very rude and didn't seem to care about the patients. Had people just sitting around in waiting room waiting and lik I said everything looked pretty empty and when they asked for info on times the were given no info. so after a few years we've finally gone back to the medical standard, still got some drs in here pushing that covid hysteria still wicked long wait times in the ER but they have become more professional in other areas, had a biopsy done and they came back benign, it was done very professionally and the staff was really nice and polite did everything in a prompt and precise manner the radiology unit is definitely top notch. still a bit of humility from corporate would be nice, give your nurses and drs gift baskets with really good stuff in it or something. read more

Whoever the crisis clinician is, you should be fired and revoked of whatever medical licenses you have. This hospital clearly does not know how to treat mental health issues and is very problematic. I've heard that you have told someone, a CHILD, mind you, that because they were not suicidal, their struggles with self harm were for seeking attention. that is unacceptable, and you'll never believe this- saying that can MAKE someone suicidal. DO. Parking at CVPH is terrible. Just ran through the lot at the medical office buildings and there was absolutely nothing available. Had to wait for someone to leave before I could get a place. This almost made me late for my appointment. Glad I got there a little early. Will CVPH do something about the total lack of parking. Nope. This is a poorly run hospital. It's so bad we have always avoided going there. Even the ER is probably the absolute worst in the north country. read more

She is the unstable Karen plastered all over the internet on multiple occasions. After a 6 hour wait, the doctor only concern was how I was going to be paying. He wasn't concerned about my persistent migraine, blurry vision, or when I admitted to having suicidal thoughts with a plan. I asked for help and was denied proper care. Gabriel Sorvo needs to be evaluated. Update, I had to return after being denied proper care the first and there being no other hospitals available. I'm trying to explain this as clearly as a possible. A blood test/ urine test has no correlation with a possible head injury, but that is all that was done for me. They basically drug tested me, I've never felt so disregarded and disrespectful. They didn't tell me what my results were, gave no medical advice other than to get insurance. after I was discharged, I called the "doctor" that treated me because I had began vomiting, and he was genuinely annoyed that I called. I called and asked to speak to their patient representative but they keep ending the call. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible. My partner's elderly father fell out of his chair and was halfway onto the floor. He was only found when she came to visit him. No one had checked on him in hours. He's in his 90's, she''s in her early 70's, and she couldn't lift him, and had to run to the nurses station to get help. She was finally able to get 3 nurses to get him into bed. I don't think it's the nurses fault. I'm sure that they are understaffed. If one complains, the blame will roll downhill and those responsible will Ever since the takeover by UVM Medical center, this small hospital has been short changed, and the quality of care has fallen precipitously.I agree with the other commentator that I would have given a zero rating if possible. Symptomatic of the decline in quality of health care. UVM Medical Center is the now 900 pound gorilla in Vermont, and now in northeastern New York. "UVM Health Network officials counter that consolidation of providers and hospitals benefits patients. They contend consolidation can allow smaller hospitals to access more expensive services like hospice or neonatal care. And in several cases, UVM Health Network has stepped in to salvage smaller financially troubled hospitals and medical practices. Stephen Leffler, president of UVM Medical Center, downplayed the idea that UVM Health Network is "about big businesses coming together to basically dominate a market." The network's objective is instead to keep small hospitals in business and help rural patients access medical care, Leffler said." (Vermont Digger News Service January 2020) They are so full of it. Doctors and nurses are death crazed! Will harass you RELENTLESSLY into signing their pink little death sheets. They actually try to make you feel guilty for wanting to live. Mainly because you've been in the hospital too long, and they're tired of taking care of you. The insurance companies probably don't like it either. They harass the patient, and their guests into signing their DNRs. They lie, and say that they'll still treat the patient, just won't do compressions if their heart stops. LIARS!!! They tried IMMEDIATELY to stop treatment the very second I signed the DNR. Then I had to fight with them to get the DNR back! Jamie Conklin in ICU, leave the nursing profession IMMEDIATELY!!! You are terrible nurse! You are rude, unprofessional, insensitive, and are completely lacking in compassion and empathy. You have NO CLASS! Lori Ammerman in ICU, same sentiments, except you seem to think that you OWN the ICU! Your behavior towards my mother and me on her last 24 hours of life were downright DESPICABLE! You were combative right out of the gate. You kept interrupting me, yelled at me, and even threatened to throw me out. A common tactic amongst guilty people who KNOW that they're wrong! CVPH is a hospital full of liars, gaslighters, and ghouls! Gisele, the travel nurse in ICU needs to have her license taken away. The doctors need to rot in hell! I tried for weeks to talk to a Patient Advocate. One contacts me AFTER Mom's death, but wouldn't return my call back. There were many wonderful nurses there, but I won't mention their names, because I know that they will be bullied. Shut down CVPH!!!! I dislocated my knee two years ago playing high school football. This was the first time (I have dislocated it twice now, which I will get to in a second.) After riding in the ambulance to CVPH, I arrived to the emergency room. They put me on a bed and told me a doctor would see me shortly (after asking me basic questions such as "how did it happen, how's your pain, etc.). It took about an hour and a half for the actual doctor to see me. My knee was still popped out. The pain kept getting worse. They told me I had to go get X-Rays, which I did not expect, considering my knee was still popped out. They wheeled me over to the X-Ray room and told me to limp over to the machine. This was where I started feeling excruciating pain. They then asked me to lay down, while the knee was still out of place, and began to bend my knee for the X-Rays. I will never hear myself scream that loud again. While I do not know much about the actual recommended medical procedures, it seems illogical to take X-Rays while the knee was still out. That traumatized me. After dealing with that, my knee was still out. They gave me morphine every now and then while I had to wait for the same doctor to come back. They were not busy, the emergency room parking lot had maybe a quarter of its spaces taken up. I waited yet another hour and a half for the doctor. The doctor basically told me what we had already discussed about my knee, then told me the treatment they would give me for it. After that, the doctor left yet again. They left my knee out for eight hours before they popped it back in. While the procedure was painless because they had given me ketamine, I feel that my knee condition would not be as dangerous as it is now if they had just popped it back into place and done X-Rays then. I dislocated my knee a year after that, doing a simple lunge. I can't even do cardio, after all the physical therapy, without my knee feeling like it's going to pop out again. This may be normal after dislocating a knee twice, but CVPH's services "professional" care was most likely a major player in my situation. I could have been driven to Fletcher Allen, which is another state over, and gotten better care than CVPH. I pity anyone who has a more serious injury/condition than mine and has nowhere to go but CVPH. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! Their billing dept is so messed up! We've gone from a $1200 bill that was wrong and got it fixed then we got a check for around $100 saying we over paid. Now we got a bill for $9000. They don't know what's going! I suggest going to Burlington for any care. read more

The doctors here run unnecessary test and have a crooked billing dept, so if a year goes by and you still haven't seen a bill don't worry there just taking their time. They won't bill the insurance companies they don't communicate with their physicians and they make you jump through hoops to pay their bills. Drive to Canada, find a hobo to help you, drive out of state, any of these would be acceptable reasons not to go here. read more

I went to the emergency room, I could barely walk and my chest was on fire. I have COPD, I kept telling them that, but they insisted they had to check my heart. They pumped me full of morphine, because I said my chest hurt - I kept saying I have COPD. I asked to see my breathing doctor and I was told no. I was admitted to short stay, at which time I asked for my adivan, which is prescribed for me, they would not give me all that I was supposed to have. I asked for my anti depressant, nope wasn't allowed that either, because the emergency room doctor said I didn't need it that early I had every test imaginable done on me, just to have them come to me at 3:30PM the next after noon and tell me it was a virus and I need plenty of liquids and rest. The emergency room doctor was rolling her eyes and complaining how she had been sick for two days and she is still working. The nurse in short stay said um just I cold go home. When I was released I was told there wasn't any medication they could give me. So I went home and nursed myself back to health. I went to the pharmacy a few days later, to pick up my regular prescriptions and son of a gun if there wasn't a prescription for me, written by that "sick emergency room doctor and advise on a cough syrup. I told my pharmacist I did not want the script. Maybe you should get rid of these rent a doctors and have the doctors that have hospital rights be able to treat their own patients. This hospital was bad before, but since UVM took over it has gone down hill. Never enough nurses, real doctors or nurses assistance to go around. I have been to the hospital in Vermont and will have to say next time I will go to that emergency room and get better care. Plattsburgh hospital needs help - reorganization. And also send me bill to me so I can pay it. Don't wait so long and then just turn it in to collections. read more

I went into the hospital with a dislocated finger, and only wanted that fixed. I had fallen down the back porch of my friends stairs and ended up scraped up on my wrist and face, and dislocated my finger. They asked if I was intoxicated, and I had informed them I had 2 or 3 beers earlier in the night, but was not intoxicated. I was given a room and told I would need a CT scan on my head because they suspected neck or head injuries after my fall. I told them everything felt find, I had no stiffness or discomfort, I could think clearly and move my neck every which way. The nurse told me not too do that, and I was forced to wear a neck brace. I was then told by my doctor, what I viewed as threatening, that I had no "legal right" and that he would either sedate me and give me the CT scan, or I would comply and get it consciously. After my CT scan I was given an x-ray on my hand, and it was not until over 2 hours later he popped my finger in and gave me a splint. I was then here for another 45 minutes before talking with the charge nurse about my situation. She said I could legally leave, and was not being forced to stay, since they already had my insurance and information. She said insurance might not pay if I leave, and I informed her "with the treatment and disrespect I have received tonight, and the knowledge my parents and lawyer have, I will get this payed for." She understood, and I left, only to have 3 squad cars pull up and force me to go back because "it was my doctors orders", even though I was told I could LEGALLY leave. Cops were not understanding and did not properly explain why I had to return, and even called me and my friend a "sidewalk lawyer" when making our case. I would not recommend CVPH Medical to anyone I know, and I do not respect the treatment from the officers I had to deal with. read more
