Dr. Guaghan's office requires a credit card payment of $200 to make an appointment. I was told…read morethat if the appointment was kept, the insurance company would be billed and the $200 would be returned. I provided my insurance company's name and was told the office accepted that insurance. However, my $200 was not returned. When I inquired about this, I was given additional information that meant I would not be reimbursed for the $200. This information should have been given to me at the time the appointment was made not during or after the appointment. I provided enough information to the person who I made the appointment with to have been told that, in this case, the $200 would not be reimbursed, but the office is not taking responsibility for their error. Instead, I was told this has been their policy for a long while and it's in writing; they don't seem to understand that their policies have to be communicated correctly and timely to the patients. The info. in writing was provided at the time of the appointment which was too late to cancel since cancellations are required 24 hours in advance. I saw on Manta this office is estimated to earn $500,000 to 1 million dollars a year and has 1 - 4 employees. The doctor's policy of charging people in advance is working well for her but please be cautious when giving your money to her because, in my situation, I was not given the correct information to make an informed decision. Based on the information I received, I felt certain that as long as the appointment was kept, the $200 would be reimbursed but it was not and there was absolutely no sympathy or apology or any concern whatsoever that the doctor has $200 of my money that was caused by an error of her office staff. I went to the adolescent inpatient facility last year, and the experience as a whole was flat out…read morehorrific. I was struggling to even get through meals and my intrusive thoughts due to my mental health situation at the time and was basically told that it was all my fault and that I wasn't doing enough to get better. I genuinely tried to see life in a different manner and the fact that Dr. Bailey (Alexis M. Bailey) made it harder to see that shows the hypocrisy in her promises to help and support the adolescent. I was told such rude remarks SPECIFICALLY and mainly by her (the psychiatrist on my team btw) and everything I said had a disrespectful comeback from her. I was reminded over and over that it was a voluntary program, therefore I left the facility and told everyone I knew that was struggling to never go there. I was struggling to extreme lengths and was not met with any support by anyone there, especially not by my team. Not to mention they bring in, like, over ten students to watch and take notes of your sessions with your team, which were filled with no supportive efforts by your own team, which made me feel so humiliated and embarrassed to the point where every meeting was filled with me being berated and hiccup-crying the entire time. If you are struggling, definitely choose somewhere else, as they only made me feel worse about myself and decided to drop me and send me to a residential program because they didn't know what to do about my eating disorder. If your kid is going inpatient, there is probably some levels of trauma in your kid that factored in this decision, and if you have "Dr. Bailey" as your psychiatrist, be prepared to be completely invalidated, ESPECIALLY if your situation is more "complicated" than a "couple steps to success."

Honestly, I'd be cool getting my girl pregnant just so we could have our baby delivered at this hospital. The staff is kind and helpful. Plus, the sandwiches in the cafeteria are the best in town!
