We were so excited to start our next home improvement project with new doors. We've had windows done previously with Champion a few years back and it went good. So, why not, let's get doors. I am about 3-4 payments made and still do not have a complete project. They measured wrong and my French Doors do not have the storm doors needed to protect the frame from the elements. Our installer was awesome...but he can't complete a project without proper supplies. We've called for follow up...waiting for a complete call back as to why there's not a rush on our storm doors. WHY???? The install date of the doors was pushed back a couple of times...my payment wasn't! I'm deeply saddened with this experience...thought I'd found a trustworthy company....only to be just another commission for a salesperson we will never hear from and will not advocate for us. Looks like they are getting their money and just don't care. I referred a friend and wax supposed to get an incentive...well that never happened...was told their salesperson never wrote it up. First time I bought windows from them it was a fantastic experience. The second time has been a disaster. Hey there! Ordered windows Feb 1. I still don't have them. This has been way longer than the 8-12 weeks I was told to expect. The man who can to measure the windows refused to call me to schedule. He would only speak to my husband. Then he was a NCNS and then he just randomly showed up at my house one day dressed like a slob. Then he apparently measured the windows wrong. Found that out on the first install day. Rescheduled. Then the second install day was cancelled because they didn't get the job done the day before. Then todays appointment was rescheduled because of snow. That we got over the WEEKEND but I was only notified at my appointment time that we would need to reschedule again. Will I EVER get my windows? I don't know. I can't cancel my order. They have my money and I have no windows four months later. All I get is sorry and excuses and I'm out over 2k for windows I don't have....oh and emails everyday offering sales on my next purchase from them which after this one, will be NEVER. read more

Buyer beware. Worth noting that I got myself wrapped up in this which is why I'm suggesting you take your time and be more cautious than I was. Salesman was kind, windows seemed like good value. Red flag #1: napkin math (what I call it when the sales guy doesn't have pricing sheets but rather writes a "big scary number" on the back of a paper then subtracts a bunch of "discounts" to get you to the regular price range anyway. I was never given a standard pricing sheet just my "number" with no way to know if that was negotiable or consistent with other buyers. At any rate I was excited about the product and so I agreed to the hard sell that day. I was told 8-10 weeks maybe on the high end of that due to COVID. No problem by me I totally understood. 10 weeks came and went and I did not worry because I wanted to offer some grace due to COVID. I did not receive any updates on my order but I did get the pre-set standard survey at 10 weeks so.. yeah. Week 16 I thought I'd call for an update, as I also thought perhaps they just didn't place my order which was fine too so I suggested they could just cancel it. She told me my windows were ready and she'd check and get back to me. Nothing. Week 18 I call again same spiel - and was told if I cancel I have to pay 30% of my total contract as the cancellation fee (this is in the contract- but beware that your cancellation window is between measure day and remeasure day and they may be the same thing or not what you (I) thought it was) and I was told I'd have to email customer service for help. So I did. I explained that while I understand the cancellation fee, I was going on 2 months or twice as long as I was originally told my order would take without any update whatsoever on the status of my order. I asked numerous questions about the status of my order, whether I could modify it, or whether I could negotiate the cancellation fee to something reasonable like 30% of the custom windows but no fee on the standard ones that I presume could be plug and play elsewhere. .. (honestly 4 months later I was having serious buyers remorse given I had no products and non existent service). Email response was we will have district manager call you. I did get a call back but the person didn't and couldn't answer my questions because it was the install tech! So I guess my windows were finally ready. I asked to speak with someone who could answer my questions (god I feel like a Karen but really... this wasn't great service). They put me in touch with?... My original salesperson! He told me he gave me the pricing sheet, that I had not in fact received bad service, and any *modification* on the order will result in the same 30% cancellation fee on the full order total. Now THAT was not in the contract. I did try to fight it but finally after 20 weeks of this I couldn't take it anymore and knew that I'd get nowhere against a company so I cut my losses...well rather I took my 30% loss and cancelled the order. 90 days after that I still had not received my refund (I had put 50% down in cash) so I sent an email to customer service stating that I cancelled in writing on X date and expected my meager refund in 7-10 business days or I would engage an attorney (I already had but I suspect many people do what I do... either tolerate it or realize that it may not be worth going to small claims court). I did get my refund after that but wow this was just painful from soup to nuts. I learned a lot, and maybe (hopefully) you had a better experience than I did (I truly had been excited about the windows at first, the remaining experience soured it for me) I just was so torn up over this I wanted to share with the advice of: buyer beware, take your time, and go in with eyes wide open. read more

We were lied to and mislead throughout the process, which Champion has admitted to us, and they're selling product on faulty advertising. We purchased a 3 seasons room on 5/19/23 and we're told we would not need to spend any more money to condition the space because of the Comfort 365 windows and small size of our room (180 sq. ft.) Which was exactly what we wanted because we, from the start, did not want any external or additional air conditioning units. Once installed, we started using the room during the day and it was consistent 10-25 degrees HOTTER than it was outside. A construction manager visited us and agreed that the 80-90 degree outdoor temperature was like AC compared to our sunroom. Since it's been a hot summer, I even asked if it was just due to the heat and everyone assured me the "windows use argon gas insulation and are double paned to keep your sunroom warm in the winter and cool in the summer," just like their website claims. Our sunroom reached 115 degrees on a 90 degree day once. It also doesn't matter if we leave the windows open or closed. Customer service told us we could have the project removed and refunded, yet that was a lie. After being told we don't need a cooling unit, we now need a ptac cooling unit. They did install a ceiling fan for us, but it just pushed hot air around. Their new solution is one we adamantly do not want and never did, an ugly, space consuming, loud, unwarranted (because they won't give us the warranty,) ptac that will cost me money to cool a room from 115 to 75-80. Oh! And because it'd be installed later in the process, they'd have to alter my windows to be uniniformed, which this construction team did not recommend. I asked if they could check to make sure we received the correct windows or have the glass replaced because of the huge discrepancy and they told us no. Furthermore, after hearing our issues, the construction manager told me to imagine a car sitting in the sun for the 3 seasons room. That the greenhouse effect would also happen in our sunroom, regardless of the windows, even though their sales rep and online advertising states very differently. Champion blamed their new and inexperienced sales rep, though we blame Champion for not adequately training their sales reps and not telling us when our protect was measured that we would need a ptac to achieve our results. Now they're only option for our problems is this ptac we never asked for. We'd like our money back, considering our 3 seasons room can now only be used for 2 seasons and we were sold on false advertisement. Champion is still forcing an unwanted solution on us, even after we stated ptacs last 8-10 years at best, so we will eventually be paying for that unit. We've effectively paid a ton of money for a hot car to be installed in our backyard. I recommended them once after we bought and that customer also shared they were lied to for their project but things worked out. We're going on week 7 searching for adequate solutions and this company is not flexible or willing to actually listen. read more

I contacted Champion Windows in August 2020, to get new windows for my home. They immediately sent a Sale Representative to discuss our needs and to get us to sign a contract. We were told that our order would be processed and once custom windows are made we would be contacted in 2-3 months. Well, it is now mid November 2020, and after making a call to the local Indianapolis office on Brookville Road, I was told I would hear from someone in a day or two. That was a week ago. I called the sales representative and was told that they would contact the main office by email. That was several days ago. I went to Champion's website and spoke to a representative via IM and was told due to Covid19, they are running behind, but I should hear something in 3-4 weeks. I said that is unacceptable and I now want out of my contract. I am on the hook for thousands of dollars and I can't even get a return call. If anyone is considering doing business with Champion, don't, or they will take your money and leave you high and dry. This is now my only way of hopefully getting their attention is by posting negative reviews and looking into filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and State of Indiana Attorney General's Office. My experience from Champion has been a nightmare. They took over 5 months to finally install windows that were supposed to be done in 4-6 weeks and about another year for them to attempt to make them right with me. Once installed, there were multiple problem with them. The worst thing was that all the windows were sagging in the upper corners on both sides. They sent three different people at three different times out to "fix" the issues. Each time they either didn't fix anything or fixed one thing and blew off the rest. After about a year and a half after the original order, they have finally fixed most of the issues but still refuse to address the sagging windows. Their reasoning is that "that's the way they windows were made." One of the reasons we decided to buy these windows in the first place, was the statement from their salesman and I quote. "We own the factory so we can control the quality of the products we sell." So, then logic would dictate, that either that statement is a lie or they just don't care about the quality as long as they get their money. It has now been over a year and a half from the original order and just today a rude woman from "corporate" told me that they would not be correcting any more issues with my windows, that that's how they were made and that's just how they are. The second half of the approx $12,000 order is due and if we didn't pay it now we would be sent to collections and or sued for the balance and our warranty would be void. Oh yes, they did offer compensation for all the trouble we've had. They are giving us $250 off of as I said about $12,000... So, if you're in the market for windows, do yourself a favor and don't even consider Champion windows. I know I won't next year when I replace the rest of the windows in my house. read more

Don't use this company! I'm writing this review to save others a ton of problems and headaches. I paid a lot of money to have a sunroom added to my home. I'm ok with problems as long as they get fixed. I had 19 windows that did not seal, they replaced them. My biggest problem was with my cement work. I already had a 16 by 20 patio poured by my builder that looked great. Champion had to add a foot to the perimeter because of where my windows were located. I came home one day to find a guy doing the cement work in the dark using the light from his cell phone to see. Not only was his work a mess, he also messed up the patio that my builder had done. There were big chunks of cement in my yard. After many calls and much frustration, I will no longer allow Champion on my property. They just kept making things worse. I had to pay for landscaping to fix my yard, get my brand new windows cleaned due to cement dust, and have just paid a company to fix my cement. Their quote had a fee for major damage. Also several of my windows will no longer shut properly and lock. This company does not know what they are doing and does not stand behind their work. read more

April 7 Champion came out to look at 7 windows that the seals had failed. There was a lifetime replacement on these windows. There were many excuses by Champion that material was back ordered. On October the 5th, Champion wanted to schedule the installation of our 7 windows on Saturday 10/7. My wife and I were going out of town that weekend. The installation was schedule for 10/14. The service techs. showed at 9:00 with only 3 of our 7 windows. Champion has lost 4 of my windows. Now they are telling me it will be 10 to 12 weeks for my replacement windows. read more

We signed a contract to have our sun room turned into a 4 seasons room back in August. We were not in a hurry at the time and they had other projects they were completing. So they started end of October. Demolition & concrete done, then it took them 2 months from there to actually complete the room!!! We were promised it would be fine by Thanksgiving, it was barely done by Christmas! Customer service is very lacking! People say they're going to show then no show and no communication! The customer service at Champion Windows is lacking. We purchased replacement windows and also a patio door two years ago from this company. Last winter handle on our patio door broke. We notified the service department at Champion Windows regarding the broken handle, and they told us that it was no longer under warranty but they could order the handle for us and we could pick it up. We made that arrangement. Weeks went by without hearing anything from any of the employees at Champion. We particularly spoke with a lady named Tina and was trying to work patiently with her. After several weeks I called again and spoke with Tina, who for some reason didn't remember me. So I told her again what was wrong with our patio door and we felt it was a security issue and needed a replacement handle as soon as possible. She said she would order one, after checking her computer and never getting a response concerning the first order. Again, several weeks went by and I called again. It was at this time that I said I was going to put a comment on Yelp and notify Angie's list says we are customers of them as well. All of a sudden Tina said she had a handle we could borrow for the time being until the new one came in as long as I would come and pick it up. Three months ago, I drove the Fishers location for Champion Windows and picked up the handle. I never heard anything after that. Today, three months later, I called again. There's still no new handle. I feel that once they get your business of purchasing the windows that they don't take care of you any longer. We have decided that the five remaining windows that we need to replace will be purchased at another company. read more
