I would give zero stars if I could. Champion Energy advertises the lowest price per kWh, but my experience has been the exact opposite. I live in a modest 2-bedroom apartment and my utility bills average around $250/month, which is significantly higher than my friends and family who live in similar or even larger spaces. On top of that, Champion made a huge mistake by submitting a disconnect request on the wrong meter. This left me without power for 24 hours while the other 400+ units in my building still had electricity. They tried to brush it off as a "power outage," but Encore had to come out and replace my meter to fix the issue. Champion Energy did absolutely nothing to correct their error or make it right. Champion Engery advertise the lowest price per kw, and yet I have the highest electric bill that I have ever had. I live in a two bedroom apartment that's only 911 sq ft. There's only two people living here. My February bill was $327 and my March bill is $267. My wife and I are away from home 15 hours a day. I have had champion since 2007 because the area i lived in this company was the only option. Since 2014 I kept the company by choice. The most annoying thing about this company is if you forget to pay your bill it will take hours for the company to turn the electricity back on. Why is that an issue? Prior to 2014 when it was back on instationously after a payment was made. I do not know if it is the area or the meter. I would think all new meters are made the same or better than the ones from 2007. So yeah if you never forget then this will never be an issue for you. read more

They do add the tag on charges as do all, meter reading dates are all over the place and Length of payment due after bill is extremely short (16days) $5 charge applies after. I have had a great experience cost-wise, I feel that I always pay a fair & low amount, and I also love their customer service. I was overseas for one month and the company had no issues putting my account on hold during that time.
