Saw people out for girls night, dates, and friend groups. Everyone was having a great time and just having fun. Didn't try any food, but the hookah itself was yummy and lasted awhile. We got an ice hose which died out quickly since we were outside but it's okay. The server was friendly and they came around to check on the coals often, we didn't have to flag anyone down. That's why we kept coming back, we visited over 20 times because we genuinely liked the place. Unfortunately, over time the experience changed. As the staff changed, so did the level of customer service. The consistency just wasn't there. Some visits were enjoyable, while others felt disorganized, and the staff sometimes came across as argumentative rather than customer-focused. The visit that ended it for us involved a new server who insisted we leave a credit card to keep on file. In more than 20 previous visits, we had never once been asked to do that. We politely explained that this had never been the policy during any of our prior visits and declined. After that conversation, the server essentially stopped serving us. She ignored our table, relied on other employees to assist us, and even made us wait to pay because she refused to help. It made us feel unwelcome and as though our business no longer mattered. We understand that businesses can update their policies, but those changes should be communicated respectfully and enforced consistently. If the policy had truly changed, a simple explanation would have gone a long way. Instead, we were treated differently because we asked questions. It's unfortunate because we really enjoyed this place in the beginning. However, one negative experience can outweigh many positive ones, especially when it leaves you feeling unwelcome. We won't be returning, and we hope management takes customer service and consistency seriously so future guests have a better experience.

As a karaoke lover, obviously I had to investigate. First impression? Bigger and nicer inside than I expected! Two pool tables right when you walk in (and rumor has it they're only $1.25 a game... hello 90s, nice to see inflation apparently skipped pool ), plenty of seating, tables around the bar, and just a solid neighborhood bar setup. The bar itself was pretty full when I arrived, and the only open seat was directly in front of the taps (not exactly my chosen throne), so I figured I'd grab a table. Except before I even got that far, someone struck up a conversation: "First time here?" And somehow within minutes I had new friends. Him and his girl were genuinely the sweetest, and that turned into meeting even more people. The vibe was just easy... people actually talking to each other, introducing themselves, and being welcoming. The bartender was attentive and made a bomb Shirley Temple. One may have been approximately 73% grenadine, but honestly who doesn't need a full-blown sugar rush when karaoke is happening and the vibes are immaculate? The entertainment situation is also solid. Karaoke every night, trivia on at least one night (not sure which, but I'm told trivia kicks things off and then karaoke takes over), pool tables, and a patio area outside with games like giant Jenga, extra seating, and separate music playing. So if karaoke isn't your thing (who hurt you?) you can escape outside and still hang out. I didn't eat, but the food coming out looked GOOD. Not sad "we threw frozen stuff in a fryer and called it dinner" bar food, more like amped-up bar food. I also heard from multiple people that the food is legit, so clearly I need to investigate that next. Location-wise, it's probably an Uber spot for me and not somewhere I'm making a late-night solo trek home from, but I'm told Ubers are easy to grab. Overall? I walked in curious and left with my heart full. Good conversations, kind people, fun karaoke, and a way better night than I ever expected. I don't know if I'll become a regular, but when I get that urge to go "people out in the world," Ain't Nick's is officially on the list. My heart was tickled. And yes, that's the official rating system. Bonus points: I got carded, which as someone who is well past the legal drinking age but still approximately 14 years old at heart, absolutely made my night before it even started.

(which was fine) and he said let me get the waitress for you. about 30 MINUTES later the waitress came out and got her device out and was manually ringing me up for everything i had ordered because she couldn't "find my tab" because my last name was "too common". i patiently waited for another HALF AN HOUR for her to "find my tab" and never came back. i waited and waited and then i finally asked the bouncer(s) for an update once again and they said "don't worry about it you're good". i politely said thank you but can i get a receipt. the bouncer said "bro your drinks are on the house what are you complaining about get out of here have a goodnight". turns out my $60 tab was over $150 and i have no proof (aside from the charge) because the bouncers said i was fine. i'm not worried about the reimbursement i just wanted to share this with everyone that wants to come here for a "watch party". this was not a race situation just bad management situation and the bouncers charging and pocketing money from ppl trying to come into a place where i had a tab open.
