The Breakfast Gods Have Spoken Location: Champ Donuts, Northlake TX Reviewer Mood: Sugar-high and spiritually fulfilled Listen, I don't toss around 5-star reviews like sprinkles on a toddler's birthday cake. But Champ Donuts in Northlake? They earned every last crumb of this one. We rolled in early like donut-hungry bandits and walked out with a box of regular donuts, a dozen gourmet donuts, and a dozen pigs in a blanket. And let me tell you--everything was absolute . Regular Donuts: Classic, fluffy, not overly sweet, and perfectly glazed. These babies could start a peace treaty. Gourmet Donuts: OH. MY. GLAZE. Each one felt like it had its own personality--like a little sugary diva showing off. We're talking creative, rich, and so decadent you'll need a moment to emotionally recover. Pigs in a Blanket: Y'ALL. These aren't your average gas station grab-and-go sausage rolls. These are buttery, flaky, warm perfection--like a hug from someone who brings snacks and emotionally supports you. The service? Quick, friendly, and you can tell they're proud of their product--and rightfully so. Honestly, I think my soul momentarily left my body and floated up to Donut Heaven. If you're anywhere in the Northlake area and you're not hitting up Champ Donuts, what are you even doing with your life? Don't walk--sprint. And bring napkins. You're gonna need 'em. Final verdict: Champ Donuts isn't just a breakfast stop, it's a whole vibe. ‍

This place is a hidden gem! They have a wide variety of donuts and unbeatable prices. They have sausage rolls as well if that's what you're craving. They also offer a wide variety of bubble tea and other flavored teas. My all time favorite donut from this location is the lemon poppyseed. It's so delicious - lemon glaze on the outside with a lemon filling on the inside. So tasty! It's a quick service shop with a few seats in the inside. I expect most of their customers, like myself, just take their sweet treats to go.

This was my first time having gourmet donuts. The donuts themselves were very flavorful, but a little pricy. The donuts were very good, but I felt weird after eating them, so I don't know if I'll be back. Both the store and service were very good.

Truly, the CHAMPION of donuts in far north Fort Worth! I am so happy that we found Champ Donut! This is a little bit out of the way for most, located right across the street from Texas Motor Speedway and Buc-ee's, but so worth the little drive! The place itself is pretty small, but super duper cute! Lots of cozy decor, and definitely enough room to sit down and have your donuts with some coffee or milk. On display are some of the prettiest donuts ever! They make an array of classic flavors, rings, bars, cake, donut holes, but what we come here for is the specialty donuts. I have too many favorites here, but one of my top faves is the lemon poppyseed. The donut itself is light and airy, has great lemony flavor with the glaze as well as the addition of a generous dot of lemon curd in the center. Then topped with a fluffy almost marshmallowy topping with a lemon wedge (which I also squeeze all over the donut because I can never get enough lemon lol!) SO GOOD! I also love the Creme Brûlée donut! Has a nice, hard, shiny, caramelized sugar top that you break through just like an actual Creme Brûlée! The filling is decadent and not too sweet, honestly a lovely combo! The cronuts here are also some of the better ones I've had. Super buttery and airy! The layers inside are beautifully defined compared to others I've tried and again fabulous toppings and flavors. They serve a selection of savory items as well that my family adore, I just never get around to trying them because I am obsessed with the donuts, lol! Once I finally get around to it, I'll be sure to update! Guess I have another reason to go back to Champ's Donuts ;)

Love this place! They have such a unique offering of donuts. I am personally a fan of their cronuts - flaky layers with just the right amount of sweetness! There is usually a line on the weekends so show up early or be prepared to wait! Definitely worth the wait though!

So i don't know how long cronuts have been around, i happen to see them about 2 years ago. No donut shop near me makes them. I see that they only have them up north Mcninney, little elm, and that all that area well at least from what I know. I saw this place last time since I work in the area and googled them, to my surprise they make cronuts there, and in many variations. I saw the cronut holes and automatically had to have a half dozen. I also saw this strawberry cronutella just staring at me. It chose me so I had to get it. 10/10 they were freaking delicious. I don't get why other donut shops around me don't catch up to this. The only thing that I experienced that was ehh was the customer service. I as a customer chose to come In and spend my money there. Now I know we are all human and we have our days. But the lady that attended me just seemed unhappy to be there, now I do have to say she was expecting and the baby bump was decent size as if she was near her due date. I don't expect a high energy or anything like that it's just as a Plumber I strive to provide great customer service and i expect somewhat of an attempt. But she may have things going on in her life and I'm not bashing her because I saw my wife go through three pregnancies and I can only imagine how she feels. Overall, I loved the donuts and to the lady who attended me I'm sorry if you were not feeling it that day and I hope your day went good. Congratulations and I hope everything goes fine for your family.

Customer warning: although their hours say they open at 5:30 am, they only have select donuts available then. Not convenient for those who have planned ahead and need to get to work. I have supported this donut shop since they opened with small complaints here and there; however, today, they lost me as a customer. I'd suggest taking your money to Speedway Donuts (a short drive down the road, in fact, I was able to get to them before the estimated time that the GLAZE or CHOCOLATE COVERED DONUTS...basics, right?...were to be ready at Champ donuts.) I've worked at a bakery before. I understand the time it takes to make them and the hours of prep that goes into it, beginning at midnight, 2 am, etc. Yet, just a suggestion, open your doors with your most popular donuts ready (or all of them ready, for that matter). Visited this morning, very cute place and even cuter donuts. The coffee could use some more creamer options. Or at least one that isn't thick and sticky. Would've been 5 stars but the lady working this morning (10/14) was extremely rude. Everything was met with a blunt "what else?" And after a couple of thank you's from my husband, there was no "you're welcome" just walked away from us. She just walked away. Probably not coming back, you can find donuts with less attitude & more customer service elsewhere. read more

When I first walked in, I was overwhelmed by the amount of donuts to select from. There was every kind imaginable and each and everyone looked amazing. I couldn't try them all but the few I tried were superb. I did not try to kolaches but they did look amazing as well and seemed reasonably priced. One last surprise I had at checkout when I decided to get the donut shop mandatory donut holes was that they had like 5 different types of donut holes. It took me long enough to figure out what donuts I wanted and now I had more choices to make, lol. Great donut shop and the staff was extremely friendly as well. Another place I will definitely be returning to. :) read more

Awesome little local donut shop that serves all types of donuts from the regular glaze to all sorts of specialty ones. We tried their seasonal pumpkin and it was amazing. The coffee from a local roaster was also really good. We haven't had the boba yet but happy we have a place that makes them. read more

The donuts are good well my kids like them I personally haven't had one. But Everytime I come they are out of tapioca pearls. Seems like maybe they should have a larger supply so that it's always available to customers. I have been here twice this week alone and couldn't get any. read more

Would be 5 star if the prices were lower. I got 4 donuts and the 3 specialty donuts I got were great. Cronut is so flaky and buttery, berry cheesecake was succulent and tasty, and the fruity pebbles is so simple with vanilla frosting and the cereal on top, yet it satisfies me. Apple Fritters can determine a donut shop and it was pretty solid. If this shop was located closer to me I'd frequent much more but this might be a once every 2 month trip read more

I went to check out this donut shop and it wasn't great. I grabbed some donut holes, a donut with almonds and a cronut with berries. The donut had chocolate, but had no glaze and was really dry and the donut holes had cinnamon sugar, no glaze, and the cinnamon and sugar made them even dryer. The cronut had a glaze, a frosting and berries, and it was somehow dry and too sweet to eat. I took one bite and can't eat it. For the price point, you'd expect decent donuts. You are far better off going to the donut shop down the road. read more

Donuts are not the problem here! You'll like the donuts- but you should when you pay twice as much as any good donut in town. Stopped to get donuts for a work function, bought two dozen of the cheapest plain donuts for - wait for it------$13.00 per dozen very plain donuts Never again! This place will not last charging these prices! The Fleeceing of America lives here! I guess they think everyone is stupid! Shop around you'll find better for 1/2 the price. read more

Went around 6pm and they were out of almost everything. Regular donuts were $1 and 'special' donuts were $3! Pricey. I got a donut with five pieces of cereal which was considered a special donut. Ended who walking with a receipt of $30! Crazy read more

I wanted to like this place so much because everything looked so good & the concept is great. However, literally everything tastes like water. Literally. We got a milk tea with boba, a Thai tea with boba & a red velvet cream cheese donut. I knew the teas were a bad idea when I saw her pulling containers of powder from the shelf instead of using actual tea. The boba was bland & tasteless & so was the donut. For stuff that looked so good, it was so tasteless...I really don't have a better way to describe it. read more

Came across this donut shop near the Champions Development and glad we did. They have al sorts of speciality donuts and breakfast items. The kolaches were really good especially the jalapeño sausage. The employees were really nice and took time to show us the different donuts. A little on the pricier end with $2.50 speciality donuts but probably worth it for a good donut. Look forward to trying the boba tea. read more

Was traveling from out of town with a large hungry group. Found this hidden Gem on Yelp and got there right when they opened at 0530. Bought 3 dozen classic crowd pleasers and a few cups of coffee and they were all as fresh as it gets and I will definitely go back if ever in the area again. Tons of variety to choose from and friendly staff. 10/10 would recommend. read more

We visited on Saturday and ordered two burritos and two coffees. We sat at the table closest to the…read moreordering area, right in the room where an author signing was happening. We ended up waiting an hour for our burritos, which we didn't mind at first because we were catching up in conversation, and I even walked to the register for water a few times during the wait. After an hour, I checked on our order. The person at the register kindly offered a refund since it had been so long, which I didn't ask for but greatly appreciated. However, when the food was brought out a few minutes later, the mood shifted. The staff member made a very condescending comment, saying, "We were calling your name for minutes and you weren't here. Are you sure you were here the whole time?" We politely told them we had been at the table the entire time, but the interaction left a sour taste in our mouths. I wasn't even upset about the wait, but being gaslit and accused of "disappearing" was uncalled for. Don't worry, we won't be back; the unwelcoming message was definitely received. If you eat here, make sure to hover in the ordering area so you don't get blamed for their delays.

As soon as I walk in here it smells so good like it is a flower field and the employees were so nice and welcoming . They gave me what I asked for and the food and the drink were so delicious but when I was done there was no trash can or at least it was very hard to find but over all I do recommend this place.Thank you champ donut read more
