YOU MUST COME HERE IF YOU CAN. CEVICHE & MARGARITAS. Dinner here was the best meal I had in Cancun, head and shoulders above the rest. It's right on the beach with plastic tables next to hammocks. Great view, great atmosphere, incredibly fresh, authentic food. Stop by on your way home from Tulum. The large ceviche was incredible. Shrimp, scallop, fish, octopus, and even 4 grilled small lobster tails. Comes with tostatas. Not too tart, not overcooked in the acid or tough. Very fresh seafood- seasoned perfectly. I would have been willing to pay twice the price for such quality. You must get the ceviche! The shrimp quesadillas were also fresh and tasty but not all that special. When we came in, we walked by the fish prep station and saw them descaling and gutting so we had to order the grilled fish filets. The fresh prep definitely comes across in very tender, sweet fish. They offer two different seasonings and they're both fine, not overpowering the fish. We also ordered Pina colada and margheritas, stirred not blended. The Pina colada was okay but passable. The margheritas were made with fresh lime juice and were so perfectly balanced that we had to order more. The cocktails are small but delicious. Service here is fine, but be prepared to read some Spanish. The servers don't understand much English in our experience but are patient and can figure things out read more

This was a great spot. We went snorkeling for and hour or so before we got food and had a lot of fun. The whole bay stays really shallow all the way out to the reef, no more than 5-6 feet deep and most of it a lot less. The sea life wasn't mind blowing, but there was definitely enough to keep me entertained, and the best part... no fee to snorkel! The food was excellent, and the view unbeatable. I ordered some of the best ceviche I have ever had, and it came with a big bucket of fresh tortilla chips. My fiance had the garlic shrimp with rice and beans to start- she thought it was great- and she finished with a fried plantain smothered in Nutella- she thought that was even better. Had the guacamole, ceviche, fried fish, fresh coconut, and lemonade with mineral water. Great food, generous portions, and unbeatable view.

My girlfriend and I got bad food poisoning from this place with the fried fish on the menu. Everything tasted fine with the fish, and about 45 minutes later. We both felt our stomachs twisting. While running to the restroom. I observed the sanitary conditions of the kitchen. There appears to be no health/sanitary standards. They do not wash their hands. The outdoor refrigerators are barely luke warm where the fish is stored. Rat, and rodents running all along the beach. 3 days later. We are still suffering from food poisoning. (vomiting diarrhea, swollen joints) it's the worse. Read up on the condition Scombroid Poisoning. I would suggest avoiding, or you might spend your vacation time in bed, and on the toilet like us. read more

Very beautiful place on the beach. Food is delicious. We ordered shrimp broth (amazing) grilled snapper, grilled lobster tail and drinks. It was perfectly fresh and delicious. This is a lovely outdoor restaurant that my taxi driver recommended to me. It mainly specializes in seafood, and the service is very quick. The employees are nice, and the food is delicious. It is also located at a beautiful beach on Soliman bay, where the sand is white, and the water is crystal clear and shallow. This location gives you a chance to take a dip before leaving the restaurant. Yummy food right on the beach. Has a little structure and swings for young children. You can also pay 25 peso for the kids to use the water inflatable slide. The lobster was fresh and delicious. The red snapper with rice was good too. Our kids had grill chicken, and it was ok too. When we wanted to order some more food. The man who helped us was so kind and told us to wait because he thought we might ordered a lot already. And he was right. So very nice people. We ordered 3 dishes, a dip and a coconut drink, it came out about $60 something. So not cheap and not fancy either, but authentic and fresh food with beautiful scene and was very close to where we are staying. So we will definitely come back. Open from 11:30-5:30 I think. They only take cash, no credit. If you only have U.S. dollars, they can exchange for you. The restroom should be better. Too dirty according to my husband. Bring your towel and snorkel gears (or rent it out). You can walk out the beach or rent a boat and look for some fishes. Really fun. read more

While on vacation we rented a vehicle for the sole purpose of visiting Tulum ruins and stopping by Chamicos. I got hyped up by the video in this link https://youtu.be/zoWkgxKYWQ0 We were looking forward to the ceviche and the fried fish, and with no disrespect to Mark Wiens' video the trip was a complete fail. As soon as we arrived the staff was a bit on the silent side, we didn't think much of it and proceeded to get a table. We ordered our drinks first, the first issue was when I asked for beer. Server said they were limited to one beer, not my cup of tea so I went with a coke. However not 10 minutes pass and a group with a guide sits on a table next to us ask for beer and they suddenly have variety. Ignoring the fact we order the fried fish, chicken plates and shrimp cocktail to start, saving the ceviche for the end. The fish was pretty bland, the chicken was overly seasoned, but the cocktail was not bad. I am sure staff and cooks could have changed, so with that said it's not worth the drive. Poor service, the food is definitely nowhere near as good as the video describes. Don't waste your gas or efforts, plenty of other food joints with better flavor, and definitely better service. read more

This place is my happy place. Kind faces and a beautiful seat right in front of the playa. Its hard to decide what to eat, its all so good. The shrimp cocktail is huge, and pescado frito is a must. The cook showed us his cooler full of fresh fish and lobster. I watched him fry the fish in a huge black pan/pot next to a pot for the tortilla chips.
