My second go-around on a Saturday at 10:15ish, it was line-free. The black+white stripe awning is catchy, the glass case showcasing the goods and more pastries on the counter all greet you. 'Little' in the name, fits right. The space is upbeat and inviting with brightly color design pieces and a 1950ish-style turquoisey fridge off to the right. Every detail feels special here. The selection of pastries was impressive and trying to decide what I wanted, was impossible. I went on a whim and selected their Danish, an apple(?) hand pie, the well-known olive oil cake and a Veg quiche slice. So be prepared- because whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed. The owner- Catarina mentioned her love for all things Citrus. Ingredients are seasonal- though I would want her to experiment with Passion Fruit. *Wishful thinking*. The pastries I selected to bring home with me were irresistibly butter-rich. I mean listen....the result is divine. Service was great and price was nice for all my goodies.

Very clean inside and beautiful display cases make you want to eat everything in sight. We opted for some cookies and a couple of pastries to take home. We also got a couple of cannolis because- well, because. Plenty of parking in the area in a Sunday afternoon and when we entered there were only a few customers but when we were leaving after having checked out, the place really got a rush. Some tables and a diner type counter allow you to have some of your goodies inside while there are also tables on the outside. Prices were very reasonable and I was surprised at the final tally for all of what we bought. The staff were really friendly and most importantly helpful in making choices. They offered best sellers and personal favorites. Of course, they have some beautiful cupcakes and pies and cannolis as well as homemade sweets for the kids. ( Big and small kids). Well worth the visit to grab a coffee and treat yourself to very good and fresh baked goods.

I went three times during my visit and had a different sandwich two times...both were incredible. I also really loved the music they play, which gives the whole place such a great atmosphere. I'd absolutely make this a regular stop anytime I'm in Kingston.

That display certainly hooked me. Came in for coffee walked out with delightful bites I couldn't wait to dig into. One of which was a strawberry danish. That crust was amazingly light and flakey. Layered strawberries, center with a little cream and that cream topped off with some lemony drizzle. Oh just pure goodness. Prices VERY reasonable. Coffee is outstanding. Desserts are dangerous. You will want to say "One of each please" and you won't regret a thing.

This is more inviting, has more personality and just a whole vibe I think. Parking can be a little touchy depending on when you pull up, but once you get inside, you forget all about that. They make all their (and maybe in-house(?)). Beyond the bread, they have shelves with canned goods, fridge stocked with cheeses and other little finds. Kingston B. is like a little neighborhood-market-meets-bread-bar energy. I came in for a bite and somehow left with more than I could chew. I went with the grilled cheese with white cheddar and ricotta pressed between their sourdough bread. Simple on paper, but the flavor was definitely on point. It's creamy, super cheesy, had a freaking terrific melt pull and the bread is crispy where it needed to be. I mean- that bread really brought the whole thing together. Or was it the combo of the cheeses? Definitely not your basic grilled cheese.

A no-school day for me and impending snow on this side of Kingston was meant for one thing: getting out of the house and heading to breakfast. Village G. is exactly the type of cozy you want on a cold day- because the moment I stepped in here it felt warm, welcoming and bustling. Just like their name, Village G. is part grocery store- where they source fruits and veg from upstate farms and local suppliers and you get some refillable bulk items. You'll also find bagged pastas, prepared salads and grab-and-go meals. But for me, the kitchen is the main event. If a menu has a mushroom omelette, I get weak and Village G.'s version delivered. Theirs is on a toasted sourdough, buttery eggs+mushrooms, topped with arugula and Parmesan. It was earthy and freaking delicious.
