Naples is well known as the place where the Margherita pizza was born but did you know that this city is also famous for their Graffe Napoletane. Graffe is soft Italian donuts and my new Italian food favorite. I happened to be walking by Chalet Ciro when I spotted these fresh donuts. I was intrigued and decided to go inside and try these out. Honestly it was the best stop I made that day. The Graffe was made fresh and they were served piping hot. They were so delightfully soft. It was such a wonderful treat! I really enjoyed the graffa here! The pastry itself was very warm and fresh, and the staff loaded it with Nutella on top. I also tried the pistachio baba which was good, but had a bit too much rum soaked in it. We visited in the afternoon on a Saturday so it was very busy and crowded, to be expected, but we were still served quickly and ate our food in the limited standing seats inside the building. The building is also conveniently located in the Quartieri Spagnoli neighborhood of Naples, making it very easy to access. read more

The gelato treat was great! The service was ok. It wasn't very packed when we arrived so we went up to the Gelato counter and asked for a CONoGRAFFA. We were told to go inside and get a receipt and bring it back to place the order. We head inside and place our order and pay. Once we did that we went back to the Gelato counter and he then tells us "No we don't take the tickets here." Even though he we observed him take someone else's ticket (receipt). We approached again with our ticket and he then took it. I don't know why he refused it the first time but whatever, we received our gelato. read more

If you get to stop by this place, take my pro tip and BUY MORE THAN ONE for yourself, and DEFINITELY, don't think about sharing. I saw the lines out the store every time I passed by, and thought they didn't look particularly appetizing in appearance. I thought it was going to be just a regular donut or malasada type of bread. DUDE. WOW. I was kind of mind blown. I got the BOMA, cookies and cream. OMG. It was SOOOOOO GOOD. I dunno if it's because it was freshly made, but everything about it was just divine. I wanted to go back one more time the next day before I left Naples, but, they weren't open yet so i unfortunately only got to have it once. That's my biggest regret. The best graffa in Naples!! Our tour guide brought my friends and I here for graffa and espresso, which was excellent. The graffa reminded me of a beignet, only better. It was served hot, right after they sugared it. It's coated with sugar, which is always a plus. I think graffa may be best with some hot chocolate. The espresso was okay. I'm not a coffee person but I had to try it. Our guide said that the espresso here was the best. I could tell because it seemed like half of the city was there. Best gelati in Naples! Definitely come by for the best gelati served with smiles! The servers were super helpful when we asked questions about the flavors and if we could try. At the end I went with nutella and hazelnut, although I dont think any flavor choice was a bad one.
