Super cute spot serving American-style breakfast, which is a rarity in Naples! I've been craving eggs for breakfast for days, and was finally able to satisfy my omelette craving here. They also do lunch and dinner. They have a nice selection of teas. Their specialty, however, is the bakery galore! Cakes, cupcakes, shakes... any sweet dessert you desire, is available here. Atmosphere was a solid 5, fun vibe and good music. Food was pretty good, we both had a classic American breakfast which was a nice change from much of our European trip. The pastries looked amazing but I opted for the salmon on top of savoury pancakes with avocado spread. Very interested in the combination of things, I found it to be unusual but not bad. This is the cutest place I've been to so far in Naples. I've grown tired of the basic pastries from the coffee bars here and I've been craving decedent desserts like cake and cupcakes. This place is exactly what I was looking for. The decor is cute, chic and homely. It's exactly what a little coffee/tea shop should look like. Michael Bublé playing on the speakers was the perfect touch. They have a bar as well as a sit-down section. My husband and I ordered slices of red velvet and double chocolate cake. The cake is dense to the touch, yet melts in your mouth. The icing was nice and fluffy-- not too heavy or sugary. The red velvet was wonderful and everything I hoped it would be. The double chocolate was okay. I don't think I would get it again. Sadly, for being called 'double chocolate', it wasn't that chocolatey. Birdys is a great place when visiting Naples. Has that Naples Italian charm with the safety cushion of English speaking servers(well, for the most part). They serve traditional English breakfasts as well as Italian morning pastries. They have a full service cafe bar that serves amazing drinks. I had the best iced cappuccino in my life here. We have been in Italy now for about a month and are deep into our exploration of finding new places to eat. I came across this site on Yelp and I must say the other reviews were spot on. The food was fresh delicious and the waitresses were fast polite and patient. We do not speak Italian but the staff was very helpful. So I had the Energy breakfast I found it to be amazing. Hot fresh omelette with ham and cheese. Yogurt with fruit and grains. Small triangles of toast with cherry jam. My wife and daughter had the French Toast with Nutella I tasted it. "Yummy" has lots of flavor. My son had the eggs and bacon. The bacon here is a little different than the US, but is still very tasty. The orange juice was freshly squeezed kinda a reddish color. I think maybe a blood orange. Very sweet and tasty. As far as the coffee I had a Carmel macchiato with skim milk with two shots of expresso. Very hot and fresh flavor. I recommend this place whole heartedly. Just walking there was a fun adventure. read more

Small quaint cafe probably run by students. Avoid speaking English will discriminate and treat you like you're stupid. I ordered cafe doppio macchiato and they served me a latte. Thinking the first experience must have been poor luck, I tried them again and had a similar negative experience. The second time I tried this place I ordered a cafe shakerato. The barista didn't understand my clear order until I shouted it at him and gestured to the very clear menu behind him. Instead of a shakerato, they served chilled cappuccino foam. The service is top notch and between my broken Italian and their broke English, ordering was not a problem. They are patient when trying to piece Italian together and very helpful. One of the few options for breakfast in the neighborhood that isn't just pastries and espresso - Birdys has been our breakfast option of choice for the 4/6 days we spent in Naples. The first day we got the American for €10. It was a bit pricey but the yogurt that came with the dish was phenomenal. Going forward we got the significantly less pricier dish of bacon and eggs. Every day we went the food was spectacular. The service can be a little spotty but they were always friendly despite the language barrier. Amazing iced cappuccino and orange juice (fresh squeezed!). Plus the decor was super adorable and welcoming. I recommend anyone to try Birdys. read more

Birdy's Bakery = Number 1!! My husband and I are so pleased to have stumbled upon this adorable little gem for an American style breakfast (colazione), nestled in the heart of the city! We prefer to eat light and healthy in the morning, so we opted for scrambled egg whites, yogurt with fruit and granola, fresh squeezed orange juice, a cappuccino, and a mint tea. Everything was well presented, fresh, and delicious. The food exceeded our expectations and left us feeling completely satisfied!! The service was above par for Naples... the young female server was both cheerful and friendly and she accomodated our special requests without hesitation. The decor is vintage, yet trendy and chic with antique farmhouse furniture, bird cages on the window sills, lanterns on the floor, and inspiring words adorning the mauve purple painted walls..there's so much to admire as you sip on your cappucino. We never thought we would be able to enjoy a real hearty breakfast in Napoli. Although we did not try any cakes or cookies, I must say that they looked incredible and I just may be returning to Birdy's soon for a slice of the carrot cake! read more
