A sandwich shop embedded in a convenience store is the last place where I'd find tasty sandwiches but here we are. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Chachi's has a nice small town deli vibe which is charming yet also delicious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the torpedo sandwich which was surprisingly filling. The meat was wrapped inside the sandwich to give it a double layered feel to it. The sandwich was delicious and hearty and I can definitely see why this spot is a local favorite!
So Chachi's was a nice little surprise when I found out that it was inside the Beach City Market. The deli style eatery inside this place had a big review for sandwiches and after trying one I saw why it's high praised. So I tried their Torpedo sandwich and the funny part is as that they do not use the basic condiments. They simply make their own spread daily based on the type of sandwich you order, pretty unique. I have to say though that first bite of that sandwich had me hooked with its soft toasted bread, fresh cut meats, cheese & vegetables, along with that spread it was love at first bite. The service was great as well. I am definitely recommending this to any sandwich lover that wants a quick yet filling lunch on the go.
We visited Chachi's today and as soon as we arrived we were greeted by the lovely staff! It was our first time and we decided to go with the tuna melt and ham torta! Both sandwiches are ones you can make at home BUT nothing like buying a really good sandwich (also wouldn't be nearly as good if u made it at home in comparison lol) It is also reasonably priced for the big portion size! I was unable to finish mine lol. 5/5 would come again! I'm looking forward to trying the pastrami sandwich next time! We also got a pup cup that our puppy greatly enjoyed (licked clean literally). In San Pedro, at the corner of 28th Street & Pacific Ave, sits a building housing a convenience store and laundromat. Chachi's sublets space inside the bodega. I have to admit: first impressions did not cause me to expect much. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food prep area is reminiscent of a pop-up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And the menu lineup is limited: turkey; torpedo; ham torta; veggie; pastrami; tuna melt; and grilled cheese. I ordered the torpedo, expecting a cold sandwich. To my surprise, they put the sandwich in a panini press to warm the bread. And when I tasted the combination of ingredients, and their proprietary spread, it turned out to be a really tasty sandwich. The signage says that they've been in business since 2024; and they're preparing to open their first standalone sandwich shop. (If you're a local, it will be in the same shopping center as the Vons grocery @ S Western Ave x W 25th St.) When this happens, I can see myself being a regular.
Been here for a few times now and I've tried different sandwiches. I really like the pastrami, turkey, and grilled cheese sandwiches. The tuna melt could be better. In my opinion, a great tuna melt needs crisp, toasted bread, perfectly melted cheese, and the tuna salad portion at a temperature such that when you bite into it the contrast of the cold tuna salad and the hot cheese isn't too significant. In addition, the tuna salad shouldn't have a lot of liquid or else it'll make the sandwich soggy, which Chachi's version was. In any case, I like their other sandwiches enough to keep coming. Order ahead online if you don't want to wait since the sandwiches are made to order!
This is a low-key sandwich spot inside a liquor store. They only have maybe seven sandwiches on the menu, but you can turn them into salads--okay, cool, healthy, simple. I tried the ham torta and changed the meat to turkey. They didn't even budge! The service was really great, and they even had great recommendations. If you're looking for a classic, easy sandwich that's quick and delicious, then this is the place for you. It was so good I had to come back the next week to bring my husband! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating? They have 3 little table with chairs outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, since it's in a liquor store, you can get whatever drink you want. Would I go back here? Already did--and yes, again.
Chachis has yummy deli sandwiches. It's located inside a small corner store. The servers were friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. I had the turkey which had a special spread with cranberries & walnuts. My husband had the Torpedo which he also enjoyed. The sandwiches are heated, so the cheese melts and outside bread is crunchy, inside is still soft. Sandwiches are good size, so I saved half for lunch the next day. While they were prepping our sandwich, we checked out the store for chips and drinks. The store had a really good selection. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are a couple of tables out front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plenty of street parking and a small lot.

I did not have much to say as I already made up my mind on what I wanted to order. The menu here is not complex but all of the sandwiches looked good so hard to choose from. It was a torpedo or ham torta, I went with a torpedo! Which is usually what I like to order from other sandwich shops around town. It seems that many of the sandwiches around town are your typical deli style sandwiches, in a dominant italian cuisine town the torpedo is quite common... and they're all competing against each other. The thing I really liked about Chachi's is the bread. Oh the bread! In my opinion it's all about the bread. This makes the entire sandwich. Instead of your typical roll which can either be fresh and soft, or hard and crunchy, warm or cold, the bread they use here is like their little twist. Ciabatta for the win. I appreciate uniqueness. I love the idea of this place, the customer service and mostly the food. Perfect for picnics, on your way to the coast, or party packs. I wish them well and happy to see they will be expanding to western and 25th. Definitely recommend and will be back to explore more of the menu.
Back to Chachi's for their amazing sandwiches! First had them about a month for a picnic on a boat and everyone loved everything.

Good value, the sandwiches are fairly priced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop is inside a grocery market but there are a few tables to sit outside and eat at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the torpedo and the pastrami and both were good. We added onions to both which I highly suggest. Minus one star because the sandwich's were both missing something, and the pastrami would go better with a different type of cheese instead of American.
I really like the grilled cheese! Yup. It takes one of those and I'm good! I like this little spot but I get the expansion. I hope they keep this little spot for the locals. Cheese and spread on point! Grilled to flat perfection! Service is great and friendly.

What a great reminder that some of the best food comes from small, passionate businesses ! The concept is simple- a small crew making incredibly fresh, high-quality sandwiches at very reasonable prices. You can genuinely taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into every sandwich. Mine was packed with flavor, generously sized, and left me completely satisfied. I also love that it's tucked inside a liquor store. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a unique setup, and it's incredibly convenient because you can grab drinks, chips, or any other snacks while you're there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Even though they're relatively new, I truly believe CHACHI'S will be around for a long time if they continue making sandwiches at this level. One of the best fresh Sammy's you can get in town, worth the drive from LBC. The hospitality is top notch as well as the individuals working . The girls are great at what they do and the place is cool reminds me of a NYC Deliz it's inside of the liquor store market so of course I grabbed some chips and Modelos with my delicious sandwiches. 5 stars for the vibes, service ease of parking!!! Love good food tucked away in a convenience store. Unassuming and here for the people. Torta- love the black bean spread! Torpedo- great sauce here as well. The bread is overall delicious, however as many sandwich shops struggle the fillings stop before the end of the bread, nice pile in the center but for the price and the science of sandwich's please go all the way to the side. Glad I made the hour plus drive for it but it does not call me back. read more

Stumbled upon this place when in San Pedro for a work training and I am glad I did! It's a little tucked away from an outside view; just walk into the market. It's a small shop with two people working. Staff were very friendly and offered me a sample of their tuna, which helped me make the decision to order their Tuna Melt. It was sooo yummy and perfect for a summer afternoon. read more

Fantastic Sandwiches, totally a great recommendation to take on the go! With plenty of parks near by, these sandwiches are a great pick up to take on a picnic. The spreads are delicious and there's wonderful sides available--we had the diced tomato salad made from local fresh tomatoes and it was perfect in this crazy heat wave we had this week. I got the ham torta sandwich and I will absolutely get it again! The sandwiches are HUGE, the pics online sort of made me think they would be small but nope these are giant and totally shareable. Thank you for the wonderful chat in store as well, it was so nice and welcoming as soon as we stepped into the shop :) read more

This was our first time at Chachi's Sandwiches in San Pedro--and wow, what a great find! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch: super friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. You can tell they take pride in what they do. We ordered the Torpedo sandwich and it was delicious. Perfectly layered, full of flavor, and incredibly satisfying. You know that moment when you take the first bite and just know you made the right choice? Yep, that was it. Bonus points: Chachi's is tucked inside a liquor store/convenience store, which made it super convenient to grab some snacks and cold drinks for our beach day right after. Total win. Definitely adding this spot to our San Pedro must-visit list. read more

After seeing a few clips on social media, we decided to give Chachi's a try. The sandwiches are amazing. Highly recommend the pastrami sandwich. Chachi's is located inside the Beach City Market, which has a large selection of drinks, chips, snacks, etc... One more thing, the service....some of the nicest people in town. read more

I wish I had great things to say because I found this place through my IG feed and some people swore it was the best thing since sliced bread. First off, the hours of operation are limited. They got better because they only used to be open like 3 days a week but now I think more often. It's located inside a liquor store next to the laundromat. The sandwiches are good. Not horrible but I'm not raving about it's they have a limited menu too. The customer service was friendly so I'm not complaining about that. I just wish it was more memorable. read more

I was looking for a good sandwich spot near the beach and somewhere dog-friendly. I don't like to leave my dog in the car even with the window's down. Yelp to the rescue. I immediately look at photos of the food and location. I have had the best luck finding great eats at restaurants located in markets or grocery stores. Chachi's is inside of a market, so I was hopeful. The menu is simple but has a good ranch of sandwiches available. I can't resist a tuna melt. It's kind of my gauge if it's an option on a sandwich menu. When I entered the market, a young woman greeted me and let me know she would be right with me. I could see she and another person were busy making sandwiches. I feel bad for not getting her name. She asked if it was my first time and how I found Chachi's. Yelp, I told her. Ordering the tuna melt, she let me know it takes a few extra minutes. I assume this is because of the "melt" process. It was convenient to look around the market and go grab chips and a drink while I waited for my sandwich. I loved the toasted bread and how warm it was wrapped in it's paper. I cruised to a local park with a view to enjoy my sandwich, and I was surprised I ate the whole thing. For reference, I typically eat half of a footlong, and I'm good. The other half is usually enjoyed at dinner or lunch the next day. My entire Chachi's tuna melt was gone in one sitting. I can't explain what made it so tasty. It may have been the mixture of flavors with the tuna along with the crisp but soft outside of the bread. The bread was toasted enough to be crispy but remained soft-ish so the whole sandwich stayed together when taking a bite. In my experience, bread toasted too much causes me to have to bite too hard and tear the bread which causes the sandwich to fall apart. This was not the case. It was toasted perfectly. I'll be back. I want to try the Pastrami next time, and I'll be sure to get names. :) Bonus: Sub slide. IYKYK. I notice and enjoy little details. read more

First time here and it did not disappoint. The people that helped us were knowledgeable and super friendly. Sandwiches are made fresh and spreads are made in house. The press makes the bread super crispy and melts the cheese just enough. I can't wait to try all of the sandwiches! The torta sounds bomb! I love that it's inside a liquor store so you can pick any chips or drink or sweet for after! read more

Love this place, this town has one too many sandwich spots but Chachi's stands out from the rest. We always get the Turkey, Torpedo and ham tortas. Located conveniently inside a liquor store and they have a private parking lot with outside seating. My fav is the ham torta served with black bean spread and pickled jalapeños. Don't forget to get your card stamped! read more
