I drove down this morning and low-and-behold it turns out that my screen wasn't cracked/broken at all; just the screen protector on top had cracked. He pointed this out to me pretty much right away and I was stunned. If he was shady he could have kept that detail to himself as I was fairly certain my screen was cracked and ready to shell out the hard earned money. Totally made my day. I could go to the Apple Store but it's too far and I don't feel like going to the mall. UBreakiFix is less than 5 miles away from home that's why I took my phone here despite them charging $20 more. I booked an appointment on their website. The earliest appointment they have available is at 11am even though they open at 10am. They have like 3-4 locations in Vegas/ Henderson and their business hours are different so, be sure to check their hours. I got to the shop 30 minutes early. They get quite busy on Friday. I got a discount code on their website but they don't honor it. You pay upfront. It was $100 to replace my battery plus 3% charge for using a credit card. The gentleman that helped me was pleasant. There's a guy in the back that answers phone calls and does the repairs. I was told my phone would be ready by 1:30pm. I was at the shop exactly at 1:30pm and I had to wait another 30 minutes because my phone wasn't ready. However, they replaced by screen protector for free which was nice. I got my phone back so, I went home. I charged the new battery the whole afternoon. When I tried to use my phone, my FaceID wasn't working and it was already too late to take my phone back to the shop. I had to make another trip here a different day. I dropped it off at 10:30am, and it was ready by 2:30pm. So far, so good.

Took my Iphone 14 Pro MAX for screen replacement (Oct 2024) and prior to pick up, he wants to get…read moremy personal pin to unlock my phone (redflag#1) and test it - which i promptly refused due to privacy concerns and common sense. During pickup, I unlocked my phone for him and he did nothing. I inspected the phone and find no issues. After having the phone for a few hours, I noticed that were some ghost touching when the phone is being charged wirelessly. At first he refused to acknowledge the issue and blamed the charger. After a couple of visits of him trying different stuff, he agreed to try a different screen. He said he will call me when he got the replacement screen but never did. Calls and texts were not returned. After 3 months he finally got the screen and got it replaced. The new screen did not have the ghost touching but it did have a dead pixel in the center of the screen. He said he would give me another replacement screen but never did. Its June 2025 and I give up - I learned how to live with the dead pixel in my screen. Some excuses he gives: Oct 15, 2024: Emergency - Cancels our appointment and ghosts me. No response for 1 month Nov 15, 2024: He said that he thought my wife stopped by his shop and got it fixed. (What? How?) Jan 29, 2025: Its my fault because I did not give him my pin code.
