One of my favorite Thai spots especially in Rancho Cordova! They are always so nice and friendly. Every time I go I always get the Tom Yum Noodle Soup! Brings you back to Homemade soup by Momma! If you're in Rancho and want a good place to eat & hangout definitely go to Cha Thai!

The experience overall was solid. The restaurant was empty upon pickup but the waiter was nice. The service was quick, and all the food was piping hot upon pickup. Portions were decent, and everything was packaged well with no spills or leaks. Beef Pad See Ew (3.5/5): The dish had a generous portion of noodles but could have used more beef. While the seasoning was okay, the noodles hadn't fully absorbed the flavors, and some pieces weren't completely cooked or coated. Tom Yum Soup (3.5/5): The soup came with plenty of mushrooms, which had a nice crunch, and they were generous with the chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit too dry for my liking. The broth itself leaned overly sweet, which threw off the balance. A touch less sweetness and more sourness or savoriness would have really elevated it. We ordered steamed rice on the side. It felt a bit undercooked and cold, though that might be due to ordering takeout instead of dining in.

I don't fault restaurants for using MSG in their dishes/sauces etc but I really dislike when they lie about it. I appreciate so much that the host at Cha Thai was completely honest about which dishes on their menu contain MSG, whether it was added by the restaurant or already in premade sauces/broths. He then offered to make my dishes without MSG. I got the Tom Yum chicken soup, size small and the eggplant lunch dish with beef.

It was a average Thai place . Great service and nice sitting area . The food was ok . But nothing special. I'll put dad you on their other dishes soon . I kind of like the place

Pad Thai. Very watery and noodles were thin.

The pad Thai is stir fried thin pho noodles. Also very watery. We were disappointed. The sauce was also very over powering and salty. Go to another Thai restaurant.

Never disappoint for a quick lunch or dinner. I work in the area so it's so convenient for me if I'm craving Thai for lunch to stop by, or if I want Thai for dinner to order Togo after work. They're super quick with the service and very attentive while you dine in. Food is always delish and delicious. It's pretty authentic to me. I love love loveee their basil dishes. Their drunken noodles, basil stir fry dish - Pad Kra Pow, and or their curries are a must. Those are main go to orders. Portion is really good as well. Their lunch specials are definitely worth it.

Absolutely amazing place to eat. Service was excellent. Food was absolutely on point and delicious. Big portion. Yellow curry delicious.

The food was okay. It was too saucy and sweet for me. The beef salad was drenched in a sweet vinaigrette sauce. It made the lettuce soggy. The rice that came with the stir fried egg plant was hard. It was day old rice! The egg plant dish was again way too sweet. Quaint place and friendly staff.

This has seen one of my goto spots for lunch in Rancho Cordova. I have been dining here for quite some time now, and you know it's bad when they know your order and you don't need to. Food comes out fresh, fast, and cooked very well. Service is always great and friendly. Everything you can expect from a family run business. It can be hit or miss on how busy they get, but they also have outdoor dining available. If you are in the area, please give them a try.

Coming in we were not greeted, but once we sat our selfs to a table the gentleman came to help us. Other then the services I'd say the food is what saves this place. Our experience at this location. The food was pretty good. I'd very much recommend these three dishes (egg plant basil) (Pad Thai) (chicken fried rice) Also side note: the water wasn't that bad either.

But parking is limited. 2) Both people in the restaurant immediately smiled and greeted us. 3) we got seated right away. There wasn't many people eating there. 4) restaurant looked clean. Our table, chairs, cups, plates, bowls, utensils were all clean. 5) water tasted good. No funky or metal taste. 6) Taro boba tasted great. Tum Yum soup (a little on the sweeter side), drunken noodle, and California hand roll tasted great. 7) bathroom clean. 8) we got our tab quick and it was easy to go pay it. 9) our waitress was very nice. Cons 1) there were 3 of us. Two of us got water. One didn't. We had to ask for a 3rd glass of water. Twice. But we did eventually get the 3rd glass for water. 2) Conclusion Wec have always liked this place. I recommend it. Staffs were nice, place clean, cutely wall-decorated, clean bathroom, good foods, quick in and out.

Chicken satay was tasty and the dipping condiments were yummy! Beautiful presentation! Radna noodles were wide flat noods in a thick egg gravy with Chinese broccoli and chicken! Was very tasty and I asked for the spice rack to give it that extra kick! Only issue was with the avocado curry, it had PLENTY of vegetables and VERY LITTLE chicken. If I am paying a almost $20 for it, vegetables n chicken ratio should match. Staff was very nice and checked in on my friend and I Every 15 minutes. The menu is quite extensive! The restaurant is nice and clean and comfortable. Very simply and tastefully decorated and the staff were pleasant and let us take our time getting settled in to the menu. We all ordered their cream cheese wontons to share, and they were so good, we ordered two more orders! They were more flavorful, with the addition of garlic, than the usual ones you get at other restaurants, and we all really enjoyed them! The curries my step granddaughters ordered looked heavenly and they really liked them, and my husband ordered his favorite dish, Thai basil beef, my father and mother in law and I ordered pineapple shrimp and chicken fried rice, and my stepson ordered a curry dish. We all really enjoyed them and their servings are HUGE! We all took home leftovers, which was a plus! Be prepared for large servings! The only drawback (if you want to consider it that) to our dinner was the level of spiciness here. Fr those of us who ordered mild heat, it was way more spicy than we are used to, so, if you aren't a fan of very spicy Thai food, be aware and order it with none. My father and mother in law, who are in their mid 80's, were smart and ordered their fried rice with no spice. I've never been to a Thai restaurant (one of my favorite cuisines!) that had such spicy mil. I just thought I'd warn my fellow Yelpers who are sensitive to hot and spicy food. We all left happy and really enjoyed our food. Oh, their Thai iced tea is delicious and is a very reasonable price, compared to other Thai restaurants.

While doing some work in this part of Sacramento, I decided to grab lunch even though it was on the…read moreend of a traditional lunch hour, which is usually how I roll anyway. I've been craving good Thai food for a hot minute, and YELP to the rescue! Kaidao is located in a strip mall with several other restaurants. They're only open until 2:30 in the afternoon for lunch, and have an entire menu that is devoted to a ton of lunch items. It's a small restaurant, and there is extremely limited seating. There's a huge sign on their front door, telling customers and anyone else that if you wish to use the restroom that basically forget it they're not going to allow you to use the restroom. The restaurant opened up sometime in the middle of the pandemic and they've been there ever since. The restaurant seems to be run by a couple with the wife in the back cooking, and the husband taking care of the front end of the restaurant. That means he does the seating, the ordertaking, and brings everything to the table, as well as cleans up afterwards. Pictures can be deceiving. I ended up ordering the pad Thai noodles with beef. I was really looking for a lot of protein, and would have preferred chicken, but when I glanced over at the table next to me, they had a chicken dish with chicken exactly the way I don't like it. Slice pieces of white meat that taste like sawdust that has been compressed together. I just find that very rarely is it ever tasty, moist or flavorful. I ordered a Thai tea, and asked if the beef or if there was another protein that would be recommended. He insisted beef was really good. So beef it was. I had to remind him twice that I had ordered a Thai tea before he brought it to the table because it was obvious that he had forgotten. The Thai tea was pretty tasty. It was also very strong. Something that I was definitely in favor of at that time of day, but it just caught me off guard. I will say this was the best part of the meal! When my lunch arrived, you can tell by the pictures that it looks tasty. It was sadly disappointing. The noodles were not cooked all the way through and were rather hard, and I would say less than al dente. Not something that's expected in a Thai dish. All if not, most dishes can be ordered with whatever heat level you desire. This was not one of them. It was prepared mild, which was fine, it just lacked enough sauce, and sadly had even less flavor to it. It's like they skimp on the sauce for whatever reason. The beef was also exactly what I did not want and was prepared like the chicken dish Was at the table next to me. Small little tiny thin slices that were not seasoned, and was overcooked. Just overall it was not a good dish. What I did like, was a presentation of the dish. I like the fact that there was the nuts, and veggies on the side so that I could incorporate them into my dish as well as lime slices. I am thanked the man for the lime because I think it really makes these dishes taste fresh. I think if they were to cook the noodles so that they are done, add more sauce and flavor, and not overcook the meat. This would've been a great dish.

It was a lot of food, but I've learned House of Thai Rice & Noodle is best enjoyed family style where you get to enjoy a few things. The pricing is very reasonable for the portions and the flavor on the dishes is so good! I don't know what they do with their Chow Fun, but the noodles were so flavorful, soft and fluffy and didn't need any extra sauce. The Tom Kha soup is a comfort food for me and this is always a great option. I forgot to order rice with my curry, but eating it like a soup is equally satisfying. The Kao Soy was flavorful and the noodles were great with the broth and toppings. I've dined in and gotten take out and both are great experiences. The team here is so friendly and welcoming. We ordered the angel wings (personal favorite), pad see ew with fried tofu, and red curry with fried tofu and rice. Everything came out very quickly and was nicely plated. The curry had a great mix of vegetables, always love the tender eggplant the most, and it was rich, but not overly heavy, with great flavor. The pad see ew was also delicious, smokey, and had a nice mix of cabbage and broccoli, which I've never seen before but actually really liked. It was nice getting something other than just straight noodles. Angel wings are a longtime favorite and brought me right back to childhood dinners at Thai restaurants with my family. I think they assumed we didn't want any heat, which is probably typical for most people, but I definitely prefer some spice in my Thai food and I appreciate when they ask. We were also two people at a six-person table since that's all that was available, so felt a little bad about that. Toward the end, they sat a single diner with us, which was a bit awkward to be honest, but luckily we were finishing up. Overall really good experience. Just remember to ask for spice if you want it, and maybe consider takeout if it's busy and don't want to share a table.

We decided to get the pad thai, pork belly pad kraw prow, pork ribs appetizer, and gai satay. They first brought out the gai satay and it was delicious. The peanut sauce that went with the dish was super yummy. Then the pork ribs came out. There were only 4 ribs and a small side of salad . I personally thought it was pretty expensive for just four pork ribs, but the ribs were extremely flavorful. I would say probably the best thing we had even though every thing was delicious. After that they served us the pad thai and pad kraw prow. Both dishes were extended wly delicious. I would definitely come back to this place.

Everything is okay but the tom yum not hot enough for me. I don't know if Thai food is like that or just my family but everything is so sweet and we can't handle it. The pineapple fried rice is okay, not sweet like the other food but nothing special. Overall everything is okay just not our family type of food

Been here once many years ago and fell in love with their authentic Laotian and Thai dishes. It had…read morebeen a long time since I'd been back, and I was feeling under the weather and in need of soup, so this was the place. It's in an old strip mall, but the inside is clean and cozy. The woman at the front who took my order was very nice. I've dined in before and the tables are fully set up with all the necessary condiments, but today I just needed to get home and hope the food could do its thing. I ordered the pho gai, which is lighter and cleaner than the typical Vietnamese beef pho. The broth has a slightly fermented, deeply umami flavor, probably from fish sauce, along with lemongrass, chicken broth, chicken breast, and ginger. Perfect when you're stuck with a cold. It was packaged really well with chili oil, jalapeños, celery, lime, and the noodles on the side. There isn't a ton of chicken if you're looking for high protein, but I didn't care. It was so good and soothing. Nothing like sweating over a bowl of herbal soup while sick. I also ordered the Lao sausage, which has a great blend of aromatics, especially lemongrass. It comes with a sauce I'm not totally familiar with, but it's bright and limey, likely fish-sauce based, with something like charred pepper or tomato that almost reminds me of a Mexican salsa. So good. This place is awesome. I've only ever gotten soups here, but I definitely need to branch out and try more of the menu. Prices are very fair too. The soup alone was just under 1.5 liters so great bang for your buck.
