Fast and friendly service with nice curbside seating. Everything on the menu looked so good it was hard to just pick one entree. The sweet potato fries are a favorite anywhere I eat and Cha Cha's did not let me down; they were offered with an apple butter and spicy mustard dipping sauce- all I can say is yum! Cha Cha Coconuts is always one of the first places I visit in Sarasota. I absolutely can't get enough of the "Emily's Soca Coconut Shrimp" - get it with their mango chutney instead of the mustard sauce and you'll be in heaven. The cole slaw that goes along with it is so refreshing. The Divi Divi burger is also really great, as are the onion strings. I love sitting outside and the service is usually pretty good. Only thing I haven't been a fan of is their alcoholic drinks. Can't seem to get one that tastes how I want it to. But, oh well - I'm here for the shrimp anyway. read more

I found the happy hour margaritas rather butter, tart and not good tasting. Plus they only allowed you to get the original flavor and not a different one. I ordered the chicken tenders that in the menu said they are well seasoned and flavored. The description made it sound like they were fresh made. HOWEVER!!! They were not. They were frozen strips. Well, where do I start....walking in to an empty place and on a Wednesday night and low and behold it was not good. Got seated, menus given and sat, and sat, and sat...looked around after reading the menu three times over and saw several employees masked up and giggling over on the corner. No drinks nothing yet... Finally, we decided to move to the make shift bar tops at the bar and a waiter came running over, "oh hey guys can I help you?" Nah, gonna head to the bar for quicker service. "Oh, ok." Ordered a drink very quickly from the bartender and it was delicious, and a hefty pour which came at a cost because there's no personality with these drinks. But if you're liked the regulars two tables behind us, I suppose you get faster service and personality. Anyways, order food, and the food was 5/10 at best. Asked for extra mayo and the sever threw several packets of mayo on the table. Thanks. Ate and then drank our water and alcoholic drink ad waited for years to get refills. Although the bartender was friendly, just not personable. Again, if you're not a local, good luck in this place. Shoulda went back over to the village in siesta key where we started. Bottom line, for being a slow night and all the employees masked up and giggling over the hockey game, we prolly won't be back. My burger was undercooked however the waiter Brian G noticed it right away and made sure I got another full order right away. I had left a pair of airpods on the table and when I got back to my car I noticed that I didn't have them and went back and he recognized me right away with a smile and brought my headphones right back to me. Let me start off with the one compliment I can think of, their service and atmosphere was wonderful and we had a very nice waiter! But besides that, this place is horrible. I ordered the "house speciality" which was pork ribs. I was really excited because they sounded unique. Those were the worst ribs I have EVER had--dry, chewy, no flavor. Also, their "Island Fries" were mushy and just as unflavorful as everything else. My boyfriend reciprocated these feelings for his meal as well. We spoke to his Aunt afterwards and she agrees that Cha Cha Coconuts has horrible food. The bottom line: The food is bland and boring and downright horrible. The atmosphere is fun though. We had this place recommended to us by a City Parking Attendant at Lido Beach. We were not disappointed! Parking can be a real trick here but it was a cool weekday afternoon and we lucked out. Easy to find and a very pleasant walk brought us to Coconuts. Seating was both in and outside and we were lucky enough to grab a nice table outside. Decor is funky. The wait help was prompt, helpful and courteous. Both my Wife and I had the Seafood combo platter..Grouper bites, coconut shrimp, Island fries and coleslaw. It was terrific! We each had a beer and our lunch at St. Armand's Circle was delightful. People watching at its best. On a hot summer day, it would have been even better. One of the more affordable places in St. Armand's Circle. There is out door seating and then the actual restaurant is open air. This can make it a little loud if there is a lot of street noise, as is the case with many restaurants on the circle. Our waiter was super nice but a little slow. Not sure if that's because they were busy or just the more laid back Florida vibe. Their fish tacos and nachos are really good. And they have a drink menu with lots of fun and delicious beachy beverages. Over all a nice experience. read more

Drinks are okay, tropical/fruity as most are on the water here and service varies depending on the waiter, however, I have eaten there multiple times because their fish tacos and conch fritters with coconut mustard sauce is PHENOMENAL. Food at cha cha is consistently delicious, flavorful, cooked properly and keeps me coming back. Although there are a number of restaurants in the immediate area Cha Cha is more then competitively priced while serving the most Floridian/ Caribbean cuisine in the Circle.
