We finally decided to try it out and honestly, I'm so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and patient with us. That was huge because we definitely had a LOT of questions about the rug making process lol. Nobody ever made us feel rushed or annoying, and they explained everything really well. I also loved the huge variety of yarn colors they had to choose from. Besides tufting, they also offer pottery and other fun activities, which makes the whole place feel really creative and unique. The studio itself was such a vibe too. They offered complimentary drinks while we worked on our rugs, which was a really nice touch, and they even have a little coffee shop inside where you can buy coffee and other specialty drinks while you're there. The overall experience was awesome. They walk you through everything step by step, so even beginners can do it without feeling overwhelmed. I also really liked that if you don't finish your rug, you can leave it there and come back another day to continue working on it. 1000% recommend this place if you're looking for something different and fun to do!

We recently hired DJ Stephen for our wedding and are so happy with our choice! He was so easy to work with and was very professional during the planning process. The lighting he used for the space was beautiful and really enhanced the beauty of the space, and the photobooth was a great addition to a high energy evening. My favorite though, was the way Stephen read our preferred music list and really crafted a fun, high-energy lineup of music that ensured everyone at the party had a reason to get up and dance. I highly recommend him!

We planned a complete wedding in Chicago, IL, but a few months before our wedding, we had to relocate our entire wedding to Akron, Ohio. I'm originally from Miami, FL and wanted to ensure we had a dj who could appropriately integrate the Miami/Hispanic side in this blended wedding. I honestly don't have the words to describe how AMAZING Stephen was throughout the entire planning process (for both cities). As great as it was to work with him up to the wedding, the results were even better. Everyone had a blast at my wedding. No matter where they originated from, they were on the dance floor. As per my husband's elderly grandmother while grooving on the dance floor, "this is the most fun wedding I have ever been to". Stephen got our vision and executed beyond what we could have asked for. He is professional, flexible, and worth more than he charged. Our guests were raving about our DJ and the vendors all wanted his contact info. As far as we are concerned, Stephen went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful to him. He was booked for our Chicago wedding and assisted us in finding vendors to supply the dj equipment. He spoke to them to ensure they had everything he needed and reassured us after. When we made the decision to move the wedding to Akron, Ohio- Stephen was one of the first calls I made. I was nervous as I assumed that he wouldn't want to travel during this time, but he was again on board and reassured us that as long as he was able to, he'd be at our wedding. Music pretty much makes a reception, so this was major to us. Stephen again talked to vendors in Akron to ensure the equipment was what we needed. The equipment company in Akron was less than desired so Stephen graciously offered to drive up to Akron (19 hours) and bring his equipment. Our wedding was absolutely amazing. A big part of that is thanks to Stephen. Thank you isn't enough. Hiring DJ Stephen Peters is the best decision you can make for your event.

Eddy is extremely well organized in terms of timelines management and all the little particulars that we didn't/hadn't thought of when booking a DJ. Then there's the music. As music lovers, we had assembled a "unique" mix of oldies, 90s, and grimey hip-hop. Eddy seamless grafted a custom mix that had all the booty droppin' low (to the flo). Some of the transitions/drops in his mix were freaking amazing- so much so, that I ran on stage multiple times to give him props. No lie bro. It was like we were at a concert. So rad. Furthermore, he was able to craft a mix that had Californians and Floridians of all ages on the dance floor- THE WHOLE NIGHT. Do yourself a favor, book this dude. You will not be disappointed.

The canvas, brush and paint were already setup waiting for the class to start. We brought our own food and beverage (yes, its byob and they are ok with it). The class started maybe 15 minutes late since there were a few people late. I didn't think it was a big deal, it actually gave us time to eat. The teacher/artist started the class going step by step, she was very nice and accommodating. She provided more paint and paper as needed. The only thing is that we were against the wall in a very tight space. Luckily it wasn't that busy otherwise if anyone wanted to leave their seat it would force everyone else to also leave their seats so one could get out. The artist had no space to come by and check on us and to give some advice/feedback like she was doing for the people sitting in the middle row. All in all we had fun and I would for sure go back.

There are a few organizations that host such parties here (at the time of this writing, a couple nights I particularly enjoy are the monthly Salaholics and Noche Divina socials). The space itself is very aesthetically pleasing, thanks largely to the nicely done ceiling drapery, the dance floor is great, and there is plenty of table seating (with white tablecloths... classy!) around the perimeter of the floor. The parking situation perhaps isn't ideal, as flow into and out of the grass lot across the one-way street can be a little awkward, but it's not a big problem.

He took time out of his extremely busy schedule to make sure I had all of my questions answered and even set up meeting times so he could give me his undivided attention. I had approximately 130 invites sent out, note that Club Tropical can fit that many people more than comfortably and you'd still have plenty room for a dance floor. Elvis coordinated the 3-course Haitian Caribbean meal. My family is Haitian-Bahamian and the feedback was the food was spot on! I'd agree with that sentiment, the food was delicious! He took his time in going through decoration options down to the dinner napkins and what was all included in my top package. Not only decor, but the floral arrangements were included and coordinated too. He was such a blessing in helping me honor my mother's life I am forever thankful for him and his team! He exceeded my already high expectations. Elvis added extra pieces to my event that truly set it off and set it a part. My family said it will be a night they will never ever forget and they're so glad we didn't go with a traditional funeral. Special thanks to his event coordinator, Caroline, who basically waited on me hand and foot as the host to make sure I could do what all I needed to do as smoothly as possible and that the event transitioned perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better celebration with any other venue. You want a one stop shop, come to Club Tropical and use their caterer Broward Catering.
