Plays of Wilton makes its home at The Foundry, a 54 seat black box theater that is wheelchair accessible. Since there are only 4 rows of seats and the theater is small and intimate, almost any seat in the main section is a good seat. The seats are next to each other, so people sit tightly in this small venue. There are some side seats sometimes, but I do not recommend, since the angle of vision to the stage is not the best. Out of all the seats in the main area, I find seat B7 to be the best. There's a pole next to it and an aisle on the other side, so this is the one seat that is almost "private". The plays are mostly LGBTQ+ themed and based. The one I went to see called 10 Naked Men was not all nude. Actors stayed clothed most of the time, but the title sure got people excited about the show....LOL.... Hunter's the nightclub was kind enough to donate red and white wine as well as water for the show, so these beverages were complementary throughout the play. There is limited parking in front and behind theater with some handicapped parking spaces. The theater opens one half hour prior to performance times. Performances are usually Wednesday through Sunday. Evening performances at 8 PM and matinees at 2 or 3 PM. As of 2024, the performances are usually : $35 General Reserved Seating $50 Premium 1st Row Seating $25 Side seating, when available

When I asked why he hadn't taken it there, he said the actors were "too demanding and difficult." I believed in the Foundry enough to personally contribute $5,000 in 2022. That same year, I brought him a play I had discovered from obscurity, then produced and directed in Los Angeles in 1997, which Encounters magazine named it one of the year's best theatrical experiences. Ronnie produced a staged reading at the Foundry where he allowed me to direct it. After the reading at the Foundry, he proclaimed to the audience that "It was the best staged reading in the history of his theatre." He then asked the audience whether he should produce it. The answer was an yes. He scheduled it for December 2023 and hired me to direct. When holiday conflicts cost me most of my cast, I asked in October for help recasting and for a meeting with the set designer. He cancelled the production, calling me "too demanding and difficult." The theatre has since announced Stray Dog Story, directed by Mr. Larsen. I hold no rights to that play, but the timing is disappointing and poor business practice as he promised that he would support me if I produced it elsewhere. This support did not happen. Theft? No. Hurtful and mean spirited? In my opinion yes. I remain grateful for the work I saw at the Foundry. Mr. Larsen which would give me pause if I were ever to decide to donate to a Theatre company again

Mariachi has now become one of the most recognizable Latin music types. Carrying the Mariachi torch in South Florida is the Mariachi Show Mexicanisimo. This musical group can be hired to perform at your private events including birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations. I was able to watch them perform at a friends milestone birthday celebration. The singers had great harmony and they can sing in both Spanish and English. They offer 30 and 50 minute performances. The Wilton Theater Factory now houses both the original 68-seat theater, now called The Mainstage, at 2304 Dixie Highway, and the new Foundry, at 2306 Dixie Highway, being a more intimate 50-seat theater. It is believed that The Wilton Theater Factory, in addition to being home of Island City Stage and Infinite Abyss Productions, will become a sought-after venue for other theatrical and entertainment productions. I've attended a good number of performances at this location by both Island City Stage and Infinite Abyss Productions prior to the expansion and renaming. Both theaters of this newly named complex are intimate and comfortable with one of the best things about them being that you can hear everything without the necessity of the performer's voices being electronically enhanced. You are also right up there so you can visually see everything. All of the performances I've seen have been first class top notch in both acting and staging. And, the plays presented here are like no other that you will find elsewhere. What a fun and exciting way to experience the cult classic film about Anna and her classmates whose lives are turned upside down when a viral global outbreak makes everyone a ZOMBIE ‍! The cast come out and perform musical numbers; dance and lip-synch, dressed like the characters they each bring to life and off the movie screen as it plays behind them. Humorous and at times emotionally touching, everyone in their lives are forever changed. They do warn you not everyone gets a Hollywood ending! ‍ Anna, played by Anna Christine, hits the ground running and was spectacular throughout as she, along with her cast-mates, takes us along on her zombie adventure. Lip-syncing her heart out as we watch her lose friends, town folk and family as the zombie madness spreads. Nick, played by Luis Albaer was phenomenal as the troubled school jock/bad boy turned Zombie slayer who steps up to the plate --literally (baseball bat in hand) to do his best to defend his friends... bashing zombies one skull at a time. It was a delightful bloodbath! Erynn Dalton, who not only directed the shadow cast; but stars brilliantly alongside them as starlet in the making Lisa, was superb. I HIGHLY recommend seeing it while you can and supporting local artists while you're at it. I had a great time and got to meet the entire talented cast immediately after the performance. They were warm and welcoming and made me feel like family. I look forward to more performances at the Wilton Theater Factory and see more amazing performances from Erynn and her troupe of remarkable thespians .

Last time we did the VIP tickets and met some cool local patrons in the VIP lounge where they give you complimentary snacks & discounted drinks. It's a nice perk to support the local arts! Parking is easy and reasonable enough. The area itself is a bit depressed, but seems safe enough. Ushers are friendly and helpful, elevator and bar service have fun offerings and bathrooms are fine. Last time I was here, we saw An Evening with Phil Rosenthal of Somebody Feed Phil which was an amazing show. This time, we returned to check out Adam Ray who is a comedian and has a special on Netflix called The Adam Ray Show with new episodes every Friday. We got show tickets along with Meet & Greet tickets. This venue is just beautiful with a classic & elegant vibe. Cocktails are pricey at $25 for liquor beverages. We ended up getting Bacardi Mojito canned drinks. Our friend bought us drinks so not sure the cost but we knew we wanted to stay away from the $25 cocktails. Ha. We had awesome seats about 10 rows back in the middle section. They started almost promptly at 7pm with the opener which we didn't remember his name but he was funny. Got the crowd hyped up for Adam Ray. Let me tell you, Adam Ray was HILARIOUS!!! Great material. Our faces hurt from laughing so much. Be warned this is not family friendly material whatsoever. Lol. We also got the Meet & Greet package so after the show, we remained in the auditorium and they moved us to the front to wait for Adam Ray to come back out for the Meet & Greet. We waited for a little while before he came out. But he was so good and so personable with everyone that the wait was worth it. They ushered each group to wait in line to go on stage to meet him, shake his hand, talk to him and then he spoiled everyone with merch like hats, t-shirts, hoodies and a signed poster. So cool. Adam Ray is so down to earth and a genuine guy! So funny too because during the show, he was telling jokes at like 150 mph and then during the Meet & Greet, he was mad chill. Polar opposite. Hahaha. The Parker is an elegant venue with the opportunity to upgrade to The Haller Club! Totally worth the additional ticket! First, the Parker Team are all incredibly friendly, welcoming and professional! I'm amazed every time I attend a concert they are consistently welcoming! The renovation is absolutely incredible! Beautiful! Definitely upgrade to the Haller Club! The atmosphere is relaxing, comfortable even for a single person... The display of food is 5 Stars! The options are endless! From cheese, fruit, salad, fresh rolls, butter, always 2 hot appetizers, display of mini desserts and fresh fruit! A dedicated bartender with complimentary wine,beer and water bottles. The mini spanakopita and pork sliders were our hot options. Delicious! The service, food and ambiance are all 5 Stars!! Now to the Happy Together tour! Brilliant performance by all involved! Each act outdid the other! The audience sang along to each song! Especially with Gary Puckett! I hope the venue continues with showcasing the bands from the 60's, 70's and 80's! Yes! I won the tickets from Yelp and I can't thank them enough. Every seat in the show is designed to see the performance from a great angle. The stage is circular and the artists sort of rotate in a way that no matter if your sitting in the last row or the first, you will enjoy it. You can buy the tickets online and the show is still currently being featured until February 4 2018. (I think) My favorite act was the one where they used bicycles and did some amazing acrobatic things with them. I always enjoy the singing or music aspect of Cirque Du Soleil as well. Side Note: Parking is convenient and always monitored by the employees, so your vehicle will not get stuck or no one will block it. It was cash or you can use your sun pass sticker which makes it $5 cheaper. VOLTA is here for a little while longer in Miami, go check it out to get amazed by the performances.~

Oh VOLTA…read more This show is unlike any other Cirque Du Soleil show I've seen yet. This show has everything you expect from a Cirque show and more. The show has high flying aerialist and acrobats performing hoop diving, rings and even slackline. Jump ropers who go as fast as the light on the rope - and BMX riders that can perform tricks on their bikes that will leave your jaw on the ground. This show incorporates technology in the show with the lighting and use of projection on the stage to show "memories". The show is well constructed and has a great storyline behind it. The greys, the free spirits and the super elites. The costumes in this show are unique with each grouping mentioned above, as each costume has a different representation. The music in the show is great, it is something that can be listened to often and you would not know that it belong to a Cirque Du Soleil show. The Grand Chapiteau (the big top) is designed differently than the traditional colors of the big top which are usually a yellow gold and a dark blue. Volta has a grey big top tent and then they associate with lights so the tent changes colors which is neat to see at night time. The show is great for a girls night out, date night with a significant other or a day out with the kiddos. Just remember to find your free spirit.
