They had all types of food from coffee, breakfast food, they had snacks like empanadas truck, barbecue, Italian, asian, Japanese, and so much more. As we walked up to the event, since we bought our tickets online you just go through the will call and they look for your name and you get a bracelet you walk in. But you also can buy tickets at the door. You save $10 a ticket if you buy it online. We walked in there was lots of vendors with awesome different Collectables like Star Wars, sci-fi, action figures, all types of anime , K-pop, comic stuff, and apparel, jewelry, rocks, crystals, toys, games, cards, like Pokémon. There is another room full of vendors artist with all types of paintings and comic books stuff. Pokémon. Also people selling desserts and different types of cakes and drinks, Boba tea. There's another room they have actors signing autographs. They have different groups, clubs like the Ghostbusters club. They had the 501 Legion Star Wars club there. Our event, a Gala, was very well-attended and held inside the Sunrise CIVIC CENTER & MUSEUM complex. I was not inside a recognizable Museum of any sort so I venture to guess our fancy banquet room was in the Sunrise Civic Center proper. Arriving on time it was a pleasure to attend a VIP Reception in the Foyer Area and hallway. I was issued a wrist band to enter. A bar setup was at the end of each Hallway and in between a Silent Auction had been set up. It was other worldly in that I mingled with a candidate to be the next Governor of Florida and other like-minded people. I did "bid" in the Silent Auction on a very special clutch. A clutch is a small ladies' purse for use as an evening bag. The next hour and another wrist band later we entered the banquet room. It was fancy in that it was very well-appointed and lovely if not a tad bit small. The back of my chair rubbed up against the back of the woman's chair behind me a few times and I did not like that. The tablescape and table setting- all place settings- were on point and absolutely gorgeous. In the foyer wine was not being served. But inside a bartender approached our table with an ordering iPad and started taking orders, including wine. We paid him (bartender) then our Wine appeared at the table. On bar tab receipt and as told to me by 'tender the bar was provided by a vendor called "bar2hire" or similar name with the Numeral 2in it. So easy, so sophisticated. Decent food was served. Had a very nice, upscale time. All staff was extremely gracious at this particular event.

During colonial times from the early 16th century through the mid-19th century, the music of Mexico's indigenous nations were influenced by the musical styles of Spanish colonists and the African slave population to form the music now called Mariachi. After the end of the Mexican revolution in the 1920's, the government began promoting Mexican folk music as a source of national pride. It is around this time that the Mariachi costumes became elaborate taking inspiration from Jalisco charros, Mexican ranchers and cowboys. By the middle of the 20th century, mariachi music had made its way into US culture, first in California, then throughout the southwest, and eventually throughout the nation. Mariachi has now become one of the most recognizable Latin music types. Carrying the Mariachi torch in South Florida is the Mariachi Show Mexicanisimo. This musical group can be hired to perform at your private events including birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations. I was able to watch them perform at a friends milestone birthday celebration. The singers had great harmony and they can sing in both Spanish and English. They offer 30 and 50 minute performances. This group was very professional and their music and vocals was enjoyed by everyone at the party. Mariachi Show Mexicanisimo is a beautiful representation of Mexican culture.

I have to say that the teacher was never on time. Never!!! Always late and she never extended the class, not even a minute! I didn't say a word about that until one day. We are always rushing to be on time and again the teacher was late. We were the only ones waiting for the class to start. The teacher came late and additionally she said that we are going to wait for other kids. Still wait and waste time!! we didn't even know if anyone is coming for sure. I asked why? This doesn't make sense. My daughter is here on time. We can start. We don't want to waste more time waiting for someone who maybe is not coming at all. She wasn't happy with what I said but she took my daughter inside the class and still didn't start the class. The woman at the front desk went inside to talk to the teacher so she finally started the class. Only one more child attended the class later that day. I was afraid that after I said something the teacher is going to be not nice to my daughter, picking on her and that's what happened... my daughter was crying most of the time. Is it a coincidence?? I took her out and said that this was probably our last time here and asked for refund. Couple days later I received an email saying about no refund policy and also saying that my child cut her finger and that's why she cried. Seriously?? First of all I didn't see any cut on a finger and secondly how she would do it. There was only two kids and a teacher. What was the teacher doing??? Also I want to mention that they cannot accommodate makeup classes!!! Their policy includes makeup classes and I called once to schedule a makeup class. They were not able to do it. They suggested to bring my daughter for the older class kids to watch. Nonsense!! I paid for the class, they couldn't schedule a makeup class and they don't refund for the class!!! I was very excited for this place and now I'm just really disappointed and I regret bringing my daughter there. Please be aware.

Go check out their website to see when it's coming to your city. I love all CDS shows, but this one stood out for me because of multiple reasons::: 1. Costumes 2. Music 3. Performers The costumes were just amazing with some different acts, one was in all beautiful pastel colors, another suits/work clothes costume was my favorite with typewriter machines around their necks. My favorite part of the show was the performance on the chandelier song. Plus their live music throughout the show was phenomenally done. All the performers were very talented but also they picked out the best people in the ice skating world with champion performers from Canada/America. Cirque Du Soleil comes up with the best ideas/concept. Can't wait to see what type of show they bring next time. I was lucky to win tickets from Yelp (thank you Blue/ Yelp Fort Lauderdale). This was the highlight of my summer, due to no traveling and just working.~

The recital was held at another hall that doesn't hold a candle to Bailey! Broward College in Davie does a phenomenal job keeping everything pristine, and the customer relations are professional and tolerant. Bailey Hall's carpeting, floors and seating for over a thousand, were remodeled about four years ago to the tune of $5MM. They also made upgrades to the stage, doors, concession area, as well as the outside. Since then, many more arts and cultural events have been hosted here and many more would too, had they put a little more money toward repaving the parking lot with better drainage during heavy rain. The engineers and planners must not have realized how cumbersome it is to have to walk the length of an entire football field after finding parking on the side of another BC building because of flooding; especially when it's pouring and there is an insufficient amount of Disabled parking spaces. For this reason, I give them 3.5 stars. Parking IS a big deal!

We bought our tickets online, about $25 per person, and they were emailed to us. We choose the 9pm show, comedians usually perform two shows per night, 7pm and 9pm. Aside from the admission ticket, there's a two drink minimum per person policy. The drinks are pricey, anywhere from $15-$23 each. If you order food, snacks or dinner it will definitely add to your total. The food however is great, I've been here a few times and have gotten different items each time, and loved it. Seating is first come first served. Once you check in the staff will escort you to your table, they mange how the room fills up so you don't have to cause chaos trying to figure where to go. The club is spacious, and dimly lit, but still easy to maneuver. There also is a very strict no camera policy, for obvious reasons.
