Parking is easy and reasonable enough. The area itself is a bit depressed, but seems safe enough. Ushers are friendly and helpful, elevator and bar service have fun offerings and bathrooms are fine. After the end of the Mexican revolution in the 1920's, the government began promoting Mexican folk music as a source of national pride. It is around this time that the Mariachi costumes became elaborate taking inspiration from Jalisco charros, Mexican ranchers and cowboys. By the middle of the 20th century, mariachi music had made its way into US culture, first in California, then throughout the southwest, and eventually throughout the nation. Mariachi has now become one of the most recognizable Latin music types. Carrying the Mariachi torch in South Florida is the Mariachi Show Mexicanisimo. This musical group can be hired to perform at your private events including birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations. I was able to watch them perform at a friends milestone birthday celebration. The singers had great harmony and they can sing in both Spanish and English. They offer 30 and 50 minute performances. This group was very professional and their music and vocals was enjoyed by everyone at the party. Mariachi Show Mexicanisimo is a beautiful representation of Mexican culture.

We came to watch the musical "Evita" and we were pleasantly impressed by the quality of the cast and the production in general. The singing was right on point and the play was very well executed. The theater is small and has an old fashion layout with a very small lobby, but the quality of the performances make up for that. You can buy your tickets online and that was a very easy and straightforward process, and prices were very reasonable. Overall, we truly enjoyed our visit.

The Foundry is a small neighborhood theater in Wilton Manors, just across the street from Union…read morerestaurant and next door to Island City Stage on Dixie Highway. Plays of Wilton makes its home at The Foundry, a 54 seat black box theater that is wheelchair accessible. Since there are only 4 rows of seats and the theater is small and intimate, almost any seat in the main section is a good seat. The seats are next to each other, so people sit tightly in this small venue. There are some side seats sometimes, but I do not recommend, since the angle of vision to the stage is not the best. Out of all the seats in the main area, I find seat B7 to be the best. There's a pole next to it and an aisle on the other side, so this is the one seat that is almost "private". The plays are mostly LGBTQ+ themed and based. The one I went to see called 10 Naked Men was not all nude. Actors stayed clothed most of the time, but the title sure got people excited about the show....LOL.... Hunter's the nightclub was kind enough to donate red and white wine as well as water for the show, so these beverages were complementary throughout the play. There is limited parking in front and behind theater with some handicapped parking spaces. The theater opens one half hour prior to performance times. Performances are usually Wednesday through Sunday. Evening performances at 8 PM and matinees at 2 or 3 PM. As of 2024, the performances are usually : $35 General Reserved Seating $50 Premium 1st Row Seating $25 Side seating, when available

I have long admired Ronnie Larsen's work as a writer, director, and actor. Happy Ending deserved a…read moreNew York run. When I asked why he hadn't taken it there, he said the actors were "too demanding and difficult." I believed in the Foundry enough to personally contribute $5,000 in 2022. That same year, I brought him a play I had discovered from obscurity, then produced and directed in Los Angeles in 1997, which Encounters magazine named it one of the year's best theatrical experiences. Ronnie produced a staged reading at the Foundry where he allowed me to direct it. After the reading at the Foundry, he proclaimed to the audience that "It was the best staged reading in the history of his theatre." He then asked the audience whether he should produce it. The answer was an yes. He scheduled it for December 2023 and hired me to direct. When holiday conflicts cost me most of my cast, I asked in October for help recasting and for a meeting with the set designer. He cancelled the production, calling me "too demanding and difficult." The theatre has since announced Stray Dog Story, directed by Mr. Larsen. I hold no rights to that play, but the timing is disappointing and poor business practice as he promised that he would support me if I produced it elsewhere. This support did not happen. Theft? No. Hurtful and mean spirited? In my opinion yes. I remain grateful for the work I saw at the Foundry. Mr. Larsen which would give me pause if I were ever to decide to donate to a Theatre company again

This venue is available for private events rentals, concerts , comedy, meetings and cultural celebrations. This is the most active entertainment spot in Coral Springs.
