I have to say that the teacher was never on time. Never!!! Always late and she never extended the class, not even a minute! I didn't say a word about that until one day. We are always rushing to be on time and again the teacher was late. We were the only ones waiting for the class to start. The teacher came late and additionally she said that we are going to wait for other kids. Still wait and waste time!! we didn't even know if anyone is coming for sure. I asked why? This doesn't make sense. My daughter is here on time. We can start. We don't want to waste more time waiting for someone who maybe is not coming at all. She wasn't happy with what I said but she took my daughter inside the class and still didn't start the class. The woman at the front desk went inside to talk to the teacher so she finally started the class. Only one more child attended the class later that day. I was afraid that after I said something the teacher is going to be not nice to my daughter, picking on her and that's what happened... my daughter was crying most of the time. Is it a coincidence?? I took her out and said that this was probably our last time here and asked for refund. Couple days later I received an email saying about no refund policy and also saying that my child cut her finger and that's why she cried. Seriously?? First of all I didn't see any cut on a finger and secondly how she would do it. There was only two kids and a teacher. What was the teacher doing??? Also I want to mention that they cannot accommodate makeup classes!!! Their policy includes makeup classes and I called once to schedule a makeup class. They were not able to do it. They suggested to bring my daughter for the older class kids to watch. Nonsense!! I paid for the class, they couldn't schedule a makeup class and they don't refund for the class!!! I was very excited for this place and now I'm just really disappointed and I regret bringing my daughter there. Please be aware.

They had all types of food from coffee, breakfast food, they had snacks like empanadas truck, barbecue, Italian, asian, Japanese, and so much more. But you also can buy tickets at the door. You save $10 a ticket if you buy it online. We walked in there was lots of vendors with awesome different Collectables like Star Wars, sci-fi, action figures, all types of anime , K-pop, comic stuff, and apparel, jewelry, rocks, crystals, toys, games, cards, like Pokémon. There is another room full of vendors artist with all types of paintings and comic books stuff. Pokémon. Also people selling desserts and different types of cakes and drinks, Boba tea. Our event, a Gala, was very well-attended and held inside the Sunrise CIVIC CENTER & MUSEUM complex. I was not inside a recognizable Museum of any sort so I venture to guess our fancy banquet room was in the Sunrise Civic Center proper. Arriving on time it was a pleasure to attend a VIP Reception in the Foyer Area and hallway. I was issued a wrist band to enter. A bar setup was at the end of each Hallway and in between a Silent Auction had been set up. It was other worldly in that I mingled with a candidate to be the next Governor of Florida and other like-minded people. I did "bid" in the Silent Auction on a very special clutch. A clutch is a small ladies' purse for use as an evening bag. The next hour and another wrist band later we entered the banquet room. It was fancy in that it was very well-appointed and lovely if not a tad bit small. The back of my chair rubbed up against the back of the woman's chair behind me a few times and I did not like that. The tablescape and table setting- all place settings- were on point and absolutely gorgeous. In the foyer wine was not being served. But inside a bartender approached our table with an ordering iPad and started taking orders, including wine. We paid him (bartender) then our Wine appeared at the table. On bar tab receipt and as told to me by 'tender the bar was provided by a vendor called "bar2hire" or similar name with the Numeral 2in it. So easy, so sophisticated. Decent food was served. Had a very nice, upscale time. All staff was extremely gracious at this particular event.

Since parking there is limited, there is additional parking next door at the Dania Beach Casino. Put on by the Dania Beach Community Redevelopment Agency the festival melds food, art, and entertainment. Entertainment included live musicians performing on the stage and sand sculpting. There were food tents and trucks set up selling all kinds of seafood but also fair food. The art side of the festival featured artists selling works in drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, acrylic, oil, watercolor, and photography. There were also arts and crafts, artisan food, and plant vendors. Local community groups and businesses also had booths passing out information, swag, and samples. I won a free hat from the casino! Many people brought chairs and set up for the day on the field or under the shade of the trees. On the last night of the festival there was a concert featuring a Queen cover band. Held over the entire weekend there was more than enough to keep you occupied for several hours. This is a great family and dog friendly event.

There were many local artisans selling jewelry, crafts, and artwork at reasonable prices. All of the tents provided some shade which was so necessary because it was extremely warm! There were plenty of incredible options for food as well. Of course, a great variety of seafood was available but there were also options for Greek food and other varieties. The music stage was so much bigger than I thought it was going to be and had incredible talent on it throughout the day. The Foreigner cover band was excellent! My favorite part of the event was the chef showcase! Local chefs from the area prepped a few dishes live for the audience. They shared their cooking techniques, tips, and tricks and once the dishes were done they shared tastes of each dish with the crowd. It was so entertaining and everything was delicious!

Not a strip mall stage wedged between a nail salon and a frozen yogurt shop. A real theater. The kind that feels like it was built for big voices, bright lights, and the occasional crowd singing along a little too loudly after a couple of pre-show drinks. That's the first thing you notice about the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Sitting right along the river in downtown Fort Lauderdale, the place just looks like it belongs there. Modern lines, big glass, clean design. But at the same time it still carries the charm and warmth you expect from a classic theater. It feels like a venue that was designed for nights out. Once inside, the layout works well. Sightlines are excellent. Whether you're down low or up in the higher seats, the stage is easy to see and you never feel like you're watching from a bad angle. But here's the one thing that caught us by surprise. The sound system struggles a bit when you get up into the higher seats. The speakers just don't quite reach that far with the same clarity, so the sound can come across a little muffled. Here's the pro tip. If you're sitting high, save the money and go cheaper on the ticket because the sound quality up there probably won't match what you'd expect from a premium seat anyway. The parking situation has actually improved. Getting in is easier now that they switched to the pay by plate app system. You drive in, park, handle the payment on your phone and head to the show. Simple. Leaving, however, is another story. Getting out of the parking lot after a show can feel like a bit of an adventure. This is where patience becomes part of the evening's entertainment. Give yourself time and don't expect a quick exit. We saw Darius Rucker last night, and even with the sound challenges in the higher seats, it was still a really fun night. Good music, a great crowd, and the kind of energy that makes live shows worth it every time. Here's the move if you're coming here. Go early. Grab dinner or drinks somewhere nearby. Walk over without rushing and enjoy the atmosphere around the theater. And when the show ends, don't fight the traffic. Take your time and let the crowd thin out. Do it that way and the Broward Center becomes exactly what it should be. An outstanding way to spend a Saturday night.

During colonial times from the early 16th century through the mid-19th century, the music of Mexico's indigenous nations were influenced by the musical styles of Spanish colonists and the African slave population to form the music now called Mariachi. After the end of the Mexican revolution in the 1920's, the government began promoting Mexican folk music as a source of national pride. It is around this time that the Mariachi costumes became elaborate taking inspiration from Jalisco charros, Mexican ranchers and cowboys. By the middle of the 20th century, mariachi music had made its way into US culture, first in California, then throughout the southwest, and eventually throughout the nation. Mariachi has now become one of the most recognizable Latin music types. Carrying the Mariachi torch in South Florida is the Mariachi Show Mexicanisimo. This musical group can be hired to perform at your private events including birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations. I was able to watch them perform at a friends milestone birthday celebration. The singers had great harmony and they can sing in both Spanish and English. They offer 30 and 50 minute performances.
