I have to say that the teacher was never on time. Never!!! Always late and she never extended the class, not even a minute! I didn't say a word about that until one day. We are always rushing to be on time and again the teacher was late. We were the only ones waiting for the class to start. The teacher came late and additionally she said that we are going to wait for other kids. Still wait and waste time!! we didn't even know if anyone is coming for sure. I asked why? This doesn't make sense. My daughter is here on time. We can start. We don't want to waste more time waiting for someone who maybe is not coming at all. She wasn't happy with what I said but she took my daughter inside the class and still didn't start the class. The woman at the front desk went inside to talk to the teacher so she finally started the class. Only one more child attended the class later that day. I was afraid that after I said something the teacher is going to be not nice to my daughter, picking on her and that's what happened... my daughter was crying most of the time. Is it a coincidence?? I took her out and said that this was probably our last time here and asked for refund. Couple days later I received an email saying about no refund policy and also saying that my child cut her finger and that's why she cried. Seriously?? First of all I didn't see any cut on a finger and secondly how she would do it. There was only two kids and a teacher. What was the teacher doing??? Also I want to mention that they cannot accommodate makeup classes!!! Their policy includes makeup classes and I called once to schedule a makeup class. They were not able to do it. They suggested to bring my daughter for the older class kids to watch. Nonsense!! I paid for the class, they couldn't schedule a makeup class and they don't refund for the class!!! I was very excited for this place and now I'm just really disappointed and I regret bringing my daughter there. Please be aware.

Parking is easy and reasonable enough. The area itself is a bit depressed, but seems safe enough. Ushers are friendly and helpful, elevator and bar service have fun offerings and bathrooms are fine. She is now 16 and she has had a relationship with YAA from the first time she attended a bithday party at 3 to this summer when she was a volunteer for summer camp, specialty camp. She has attended Saturday digital camps, specialty camp (until she aged out) and full time camp. We have watched the museum struggle during Covid when they were forced to find a new location. Under the leadership of their new CEO, we have witnessed such resilience. My daughter has participated in 3 recycling fashion shows, participated in their festival of the arts (where kids can share & sell their art), and so far for her high school career she has been a volunteer for summer camp. Through her participation in the Recycling Fashion Show she has been able to be part of an exhibition at Art Serve - sharing the display space with adult artists. She was able to paint a guitar to be auctioned for a large fundraiser for the Ann Storck center and she has been able to utilize 2 scholarships through the Florida Fashion Institue to enhance her career aspirations. The museum is reasonably priced and a great size. While it's not huge, there's plenty to keep children engaged. We've been visiting every two to three months for the past two years, and it's been fun seeing some of the recent upgrades they've made. The space is open and thoughtfully divided into different themed areas. Kids can enjoy a slide, a music and movement section, a grocery store and kitchen play area, a large swing, a few simple video games, painting stations, and several daily craft activities. They've also recently added a pretend garden where children can "plant" flowers, which is such a cute interactive feature. There are playful activities scattered throughout the museum, so there's always something new to discover. Everything is designed to encourage creativity, hands-on learning, and imaginative play. My four-year-old nephew absolutely loves coming here, and we've been bringing him since he was two years old. It's one of our favorite local outings. One thing I also appreciate is that it never feels overly crowded, although we usually visit during the week. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, and they're especially helpful in the craft areas, where they're always encouraging and willing to assist the kids with their projects. Overall, I highly recommend Young At Art for families with young children. It's a fun, creative, and educational experience that keeps us coming back again and again.
