Another one of those great second-hand game and video stores…read more This one, as the name of the shop suggests, specialises more in games, everything from your Wii's, PS3's & Xbox 360 to your Nintendo Ds, Gameboy Advance, and even retro PC and console games. They have a small selection of pre-owned consoles and controllers. Be prepared to be looking for quite a while if there is something specific you are after as everything is a little ramshakle The selection of DVD's is ok, with some good boxset and even some VHS's! I know... how very retro!
Long gone it would seem are the days of catapults, tipping cows and throwing eggs. This is the…read moregolden age of digitalisation where games are played not on bicycle around the estate (council not country) but across the Google-sphere - on the games consoles. Whether it's racing cars, building virtual cities or leading teams of commandoes through the Middle East (propaganda anyone?) there's a game for everyone these days. Due to the high expense of many high street retailers, places like Game Scene have set up to provide more affordable, pre-loved numbers - and fair play to them. This shop is absolutely stacked from wall to wall with games for all sorts of consoles and devices. It's not really my forte so I can't specify which ones but judging by the huge array of colour and shape I'm guessing they're pretty well stocked. There's also a really good choice of DVDs to choose from, with some blockbusters for a mere quid or two. Game on.

I have long been into the Games Workshop hobby and recently got my younger brother to collect and…read morepaint a few miniatures. I have been to a couple of other Games Workshops in Cardiff and Bristol, they are all quite similar but all are friendly places to go. When I took my brother to the swansea shop, immediately one of the sales staff came upto him and asked him what armies he collects. My brother is quite shy so I had to tell the sales staff he was new to the hobby, then he said to come and paint a couple of models in the shop which was a really good way of making my brother feel comfortable in the shop. Overall i would highly recommend anyone thinking of starting the hobby to go to the shop and speak to the extremely helpful and friendly staff there.

My complaint is with the staff, they were very rude and seemed more concerned with their personal conversation about what they had planned for Saturday night. They even made me wait whilst they finished what they were saying multiple times. I found this very unprofessional and I doubt I'll use CEX again when there is a Cash Generator across the road

It has quite a fair selection for what and where it is, but then I do think it's worth the trip elsewhere or ordering online just because the prices here are very expensive. There's no small store discount or etc. Actually, if you can go elsewhere, I wouldn't really go here at all because although it's selection is passable, it's far from reaching the variety at others elsewhere or online.

They can almost always be found cheaper elsewhere so though you may look here, I think I'd recommend checking out elsewhere for actual purchasing. The store is quite cramped, again the same as other Game stores, but it's not overwhelmingly bad so long as it isn't busy at the time. Not much else to say for this store really, but definitely would say that it isn't worth a trip for this store in particular.
