I would say this Poundstretcher is one of the better ones. There is enough space to maneuver around without reaching over and squeezing past other customers. They have organised the place well, which is another thing I really appreciate. The only thing that makes me drop a couple stars is that the quality of their goods isn't as good as what you would get from say Robert Dias.

Looked like they had a good sweet selection and a random selection of cakes! I didn't delve in much further so couldn't really say much more. It wasn't the cleanest shop I've ever been in and the man behind the counter was pleasant but also quite abrupt!! There are a number of newsagents on this road and this one was okay but didn't leave me feeling like I should choose over any other.

I have dealt with both Jason and Dylan and a couple of other guys who have all been really helpful and always very professional. I was able to go into there safe private room to make the sale and I was paid within a couple of minutes with the best and most fair price I could have asked for. I was even made a coffee and given delicious chocolate biscuits. It's in a great location also if you're driving with loads of free parking in the surrounding roads. I will hopefully be paying a visit again soon to purchase a phone. I drove an hour and a half to get to them, but we'll worth it for the very fair price I was given and the super service. I was nervous when I read the words 'pawn shop' online, but trust me there is nothing to be worried about. I honestly 100% recommend these guys with all my heart. Bristol Gold sits at the top of Lodge Causeway near Forest Road and is nothing special to look at - a black box shop with staff behind high counters and protective glass. But the window has some nice pieces of jewellery in and good prices, plus mobile phones and ipods. Inside the shop window has a back display and there is a rack of console games (priced £2 to £15), more phones (all displayed with their police check certificate so you aren't going to buy anything that has been stolen) and a box of DVDs for £1 each. I felt comfortable enough to have a rummage through the DVD box and came out with a copy of The Thing and Galaxy Quest (ahh guilty pleasures). The lady behind the counter was chirpy and encouraged me to look through the free CD box which was amusingly like looking through a tweenie girl's CD collection from 2002.

One of the leading children's charities in the UK I always make time to pop in here. It's a tidy…read morelittle charity shop that really makes an effort to keep good stores thus making some profit for the cause. One of the main points here is how easy they make it to shop. For example little signs on the roof mark out what is in what aisle. The men's range, once you locate it, is a decent assortment of really quite good clothing. I've bought many good shirts from these guys as well as a few nice hats. The rest of the stock is similar; easy to find and good quality. Little more you could ask for really.

I went there looking for some light natural trousers for an up and coming holiday and came away with a 100% cotton pair from M&S that looked brand new and a linen pair and only spent £3.98!!! So all you other charity shops out there with your fancy layouts and store windows, take a leaf out if Barnardos book. It may be like a jumble sale in there but it's cheap and that's what I want from a Charity shop!
