While we realise that 'mistakes happen' the calibre of the company is determined by the way in which it deals with those mistakes. Leekes Llantrisant has fallen sadly short in this regard. On 9 April 2025, we purchased a Kettler Mini Corner Sofa Set and paid £2,135 for the set plus the covers. At the time of purchase, we were specifically told by the Sales Assistant that it came with an adjustable table; we queried this as it was a key selling point for us due to my husband's disability. We took delivery of the furniture on 20 May 2025. When constructing it, we noticed that the table was not the adjustable table we had ordered. I telephoned Leekes that afternoon and they said that the Sales Assistant we had dealt with would ring me first thing the following morning. I was not telephoned as promised, but received an email stating : "I have been made aware that you believed you would be receiving the adjustable table. The adjustable table is only available with the larger corner group which costs £2199. The set you chose for £1799 is the set that has the slatted top table, hence why it is slightly cheaper." The cost quoted in the email was incorrect. I telephoned the store to find out what was going on, at which time it was acknowledged that an error had been made. The Sales Assistant stated that 'mistakes happen' and if I wanted the adjustable table, I had to pay an extra (circa) £200. I said I was not prepared to do this as I had specifically been told that the adjustable table was included in the original price. Consequently, I asked that Leekes collect the furniture and the covers and issue a refund. The Sales Assistant stated that this was not an option and if I wanted the adjustable table, I had to pay the extra. This was not an acceptable resolution. Following a conversation with Trading Standards, I submitted a complaint to the Customer Services Department on 21 May 2025. I suggested that somebody other than the Sales Assistant we had dealt with check exactly what was ordered as the invoice and the costs quoted in the email did not tally. It then transpired that the wrong sofa, as well as the wrong table had been ordered and sent to us, so a new delivery had to be made the following week. We requested that Leekes arrange for someone to put the furniture together for us, as my husband had already struggled to do this once, and due to his disability, this would be difficult for him to do again. The fact this had to be done a second time was solely because of errors made by Leekes. We were told this was not possible, and it was suggested that we use a handy man at our own cost. We will not be purchasing from this company again.

The Shop itself is split into sections so its easier to find your way around. There is a bed shop, kitchens, bathrooms, DIY, Sports section, electronics, gifts and crafts, pets and a large garden section with lots of ponds and fish too. I would say that you could easier spend half a day at Leekes looking at everything. They also have a handy coffee shop and cafe so you can have a think before you spend all your hard earned cash. It also has plenty of car parking and the staff will help carry your purchases to the car to.

What I like about game shops such as this is the simplicity. Somewhere along the way, it was decided by the gods that the world needed a shop that normal people could go and pick up an item for their gaming console without being surrounded by staff whose advice usually consists of large words you don't understand. Game acts as a filter for the more technology friendly outlets such as PC World, Comet or Curry's. While you may be able to pick up a state-of-the-art, multiport ADSL filter at any one of these retailers, for those wishing to bag the newest Call of Duty instalment without a brain melting lecture from a member of staff, Game is the place to go. For a jargon-free videogame shopping experience, look no further than Game.
