There are loads and loads of shops in the Quadrant like HMV, Game , W H smiths , Clinton cards and Debenhams. It can get pretty packed out with shoppers at peak times and especially with the run up to christmas. At christmas there is usually a lovely christmas tree with lots of decorations which make it look really nice. The shopping centre always looks clean and tidy and you will always find a cleaner pottering around.

Shops you find in every town in Britain. The Quadrant itself is quite pleasant though, it has a predominently glass roof which allows it to be very bright and airy inside. There's a gallery cafe which looks out on to the main concourse of the shopping centre which is great for people watching. The bus station also comes out of one end, so finding it is very easy, and also you won't have far to carry bags to get a bus. Or even to get to your car if you choose to park in the NCP which also adjoins the Quadrant. You can also get to Swansea Market via an entrance in the Quadrant. The largest store by far is Debehams, which is a large department store and takes up almost an entire wing of its own. ANECDOTE: I was sick on the doors of Debehams one Christmas as I was shopping for presents and very rapidly came down with a virus. There are public toilets (free) upstairs which are clean and well maintained. The buidling is decorated according to the seasons, and a large Christmas tree is the focus during the winter.

I like this branch of Marks and Spencers!…read more It's only a small branch, but has a good range of women's, men's and children's clothes. They also sell a good range of food and drink. Obviously you won't get the same choice that you'd get in a branch in a larger town or city, but they stock a good range in a variety of sizes. I'd agree with Jane-Elizabeth - the staff in M&S are exceptionally friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Something I love there at the moment - their dine in for £10 deal, which runs every other weekend up until Christmas. For £10 you get a main course and side dish, dessert and a bottle of wine. Great if you want to spoil yourself and have an evening out of slaving over a hot stove!

They have pledged to increase their use of trade-fair, environmentally sustainable items (that are not tested on animals) as part of their new image. The clothes are good quality but a bit expensive for me; however, their range of toiletries is marvellous and not particularly expensive. The big bottles of coconut milk, and cocoa butter and vanilla, body lotion (300 ml) are gorgeous and only £1 each! I thought that was a mistake when I saw them first. There are really lovely gifts on offer this year too (leading up to Christmas as I write this), with lovely packaging - especially the scented toiletries and also children's toys and games. Of course, all branches of M&S will sell all these things, not only the one in Neath (but that's the branch I was in today)! I was struck by the helpfulness of the staff when I asked where something was; they are trained well in customer service.

It's located on two floors - menswear is upstairs. However, I've always found them to stock a good range of sizes, and the staff are very helpful. If you want to order a particular size or something from their catalogue, they'll help you and you can have it instore in a couple of days. I may be a bit biased - I'm a bit of a Next addict, and I could spend most of my money here!

Anyway, Debenhams. I do like it, especially during the final days of their Blue Cross sale, when things go buy one get on free. Because of this, I managed to buy 4 bras for the princely sum of £12 - two of them the fairly pricey Miss Ultimo bras. I was impressed. I could spend ages in Debenhams, and more so now that the Benefit counter has expanded to include an eyebrow bar - now if the one in Leeds could just follow along with that, it'd be much appreciated!

Crazy Macs is located on the swansea enterprise park not far from PC world and currys…read more I was recently looking for a cheap sofa so decided to look in Crazy Macs , the shop is quite big and they sell carpets, bedroom furniture , dining tables , beds and sofas. Some of the sofa`s were good quality but very expensive , other sofa`s were expensive and not very good quality. I noticed that some of the sofas had a lot of marks and tears yet they still had a price mark of £200. They also had cheap sofa`s at £50 which I guess would be suitable for a student. I noticed a lot of the dining tables were scratched and chipped and again they had very high prices. If you decide to buy a product they do deliver for a small fee.

Probably one of the biggest Wilko's I've been in, I can get everything I need in this one store. Most of my lampshades at home came from here because the range they had on offer was much more extensive to what Leeds had to show me. It also happens to be across the road from where my best friend works, so it's a very useful place to kill time while waiting for her to finish work!

It's a large store…read morewith a lot on offer, nothing over £1 in price, and many things which are good quality - not the rubbish I'd expected if I'm honest! You'll find many things for the car, home and garden, a large range of toys and party goods, stationery, batteries, gifts, confectionery, and much more. There are nicely packaged gift bags of Potpourri for £1 (which will cost five times that amount in M&S) and many other nice, small, gifts. The CD and DVD cases are very good value as well. There are also many recognised brands, including Cadbury, Mr Sheen, Flash, Colgate, and many others. My only criticism is that it's a very busy store (that's why I hadn't been in sooner) and you have to queue for a while. Definitely worth a look though. Why pay more?

It has been widely advertised but I would say anyone interested needs to carefully shop within the offer, depending on your choices you can get save over £10 or as little as £2. If you shop within the offer carefully it ends up as a meal for 4, large chickens have been part of the offer sometimes and ready meals that serve 4 plus they had a great cheese board in the offer last time but by lunchtime on the Saturday no cheese boards were left or restocked on sunday. Unfortunately the most expensive items in the offer do sell out very quickly and sometimes, at least in the Swansea shop, they run out of side orders and desserts making the offer no longer available early on in the day.

Prices are high and I do find the selection of clothes a little boring and aimed at the older person. The food they sell is lovely but dont expect to be able to do a weeks shop here as they just dont stock enough range. Its worth noting that they dont sell anything other than their own brands. Also remember that if your buying lots of food you have to walk it all back to the car and since this store is in the middle of Swansea then that may be quite a walk. They do do good 3 for 2 offers on xmas pressies so look out for them.

This is quite a good fashion outlet shop offering brand names at up to 60% less than you would pay…read morein other stores. Although it's in the same building as the old 'Seconds Ahead' store and looks similar (no make-over in evidence yet), the clothes are 'first quality' and they do not sell seconds. There's a good range for all the family and many bargains on offer (I have been into the store twice in the last week and bought a coat on one occasion). There are two small changing rooms halfway into the store on the right. Accessories too including scarves, hats and gloves. Definitely worth a look if you're passing.
