I haven't been here in a while, and I won't be coming back. Tina rushed my manicure, and had nail polish pool between my nails and skin. I figured she would take a paint brush and acetone to remove... nope! Instead, she took her thick overgrown fingernail with a soaked piece of cotton underneath and smeared the polish. When I pointed it out to her, she grabbed my hand forward, clearly irritated, and said something out loud in her language to the woman doing my pedicure (who did a great job)! I was so appalled that she was so rude about something so obvious. Less than 24 hours later, my manicure is chipped and looks horrible. (See picture.) read more

I can usually get same day service during the week. Weekends and holidays it's usually necessary to call ahead. The staff are very friendly and as chatty or as quiet as you wish. Love, Love, Love getting the BELLA pedicure here. It is awesome! I enjoy the atmosphere in this nail salon, not loud at all. I like how the manicurist's don't talk to each other a bunch, this makes the pedicure more relaxing. I like how the Bella pedicure includes both the callus removal and the paraffin dip. I really enjoy the style of the salon, very cute and calming atmosphere. The pedicure seating is great, the back rooms are awesome if you'd like more privacy, a more intimate experience. I like how they have the option to purchase champagne while you get your pedicure, this also adds to the high quality experience. The only thing that I do not like about this place is that they don't allow you to charge the tip on your debit or credit card. I booked a very last minute appointment last Friday for my cousin and I for gel manicures and could not have been more impressed! The moment we walked in, we were greeted and treated so well! And they were busy! I am a hair stylist at a salon in Sherman oaks and customer service is my top priority! I had my nails done by Vincent. So meticulous and my nails STILL look fantastic! Usually by now I would have a chip or two because my hands are constantly in water but it looks like I got them done yesterday. I have an event to go to this weekend and am super happy I won't have to squeeze in another manicure! My cousins manicure looked gorgeous as well! She had two technicians. I'm not sure of the situation but the one who started the manicure got up to answer his phone midway through (which I thought was rude given he never said "excuse me") but who knows if it may have been an emergency or some kind of family situation. But the guy who took over for him was seamless and friendly. I also feel that some salons may go overboard and talk your ear off or have constant conversations in another language. I really really like Holly for my pedicures. I had to try a few girls out here before I found Holly but I am so glad that I found her. My feet are super sensitive and I'm kind of squeamish about getting them done. However my need for pretty feet supersedes any foot sensitivity, therefore I come here every couple of weeks to get them done. Luckily Holly remembers how sensitive I am and is thoughtful enough to try and make my pedicures here as relaxing as possible. I've been to a few nightmare salons where the tech rushes through the pedicure, without engaging the client, (or even worse talked only to the other employees the entire time!) Even visits where the staff shamelessly try to upsell each treatment or product, and in the end you feel battered and more stressed than when you walked in. As a somewhat-regular-but-not-weekly salon goer, I've seen and heard of enough drama to appreciate a good nail place when I see one. If I have to consider myself a regular at any nail salon, this would be the one. Initially I chose this shop for the convenient location, and their reasonable price list, and I keep returning for their service and the overall happy experience. I don't ever feel pressured to add additional services, and have had nice work done by most of their technicians. Its a smaller place, but once you are in the pedicure zone, you wont mind the "snugness." One key bonus: Making an appointment is always breeze, and I've never waited long if I decided to stop in for a last minute walk-in mani/pedi. There is a bounty of services available, including something for everyone's price range. Haven't yet tried any of their waxing, facials or other treatments- However I am fond of their natural nail services, and recommend them when I can. (Although I find their nail and toe facilities sufficient and clean, and I've never ventured behind the curtains to see the back of the salon-but most probably I will stick to having facials over at Le Beau a few doors down, just because.) read more

I've been coming to this salon since they first opened and always really enjoy it. I usually get the Bella mani and pedi, which includes the paraffin and callus removal. Peter is great at manicures, but prefers to do the gel manicure as he prob gets more commission from it. Most all technicians are wonderful here- Mimi, Christine, Lee, Joann (sorry if I am missing others). I have referred many of my friends and they all love this place. So when Cest Lamour opened up a second location in Valencia (first one was in Castaic), I figured I'd save a few bucks by going to a salon more local. I must admit, the space is really small compared to the salon I went to before. It kind of turned me off, at first, but I realized it's better that way; feeling more intimate, more spa like, rather than a nail painting factory. The prices are still a little higher than other places in the SCV but still reasonable. I paid extra to have dry skin removed from my feet, and Tina just tore into my feet with her harsh emery board. I have never had my feet treated so roughly and been burned by the harsh scraping of her emery board. I told her my feet hurt when she was done but had no idea they would be raw the next day. I could not put a shoe on comfortably for 6 days. I spoke to Ivan the following morning and he gave me a gift card since I was not happy with my service. I really hate to give these place a bad review, I have been a Loyal customer to this salon for the past 6 years and have recently been having my nails done bad. Today I went and got a pink and white acrylic full set. My nail tech didn't take off the access red nail polish and acrylic from an old set and started on my nails. They looked good until I got outside and saw in natural sunlight that the red polish and acrylic could be obviously seen through the new nails and they were seen on all of them. When I went back right after noticing it, my nail tech said "oh yeah I knew that would happen." If you know that will happen then why not inform me of it instead of letting me walk out with my nails looking like that?! The nail tech fixed it by covering the red spots with a pink gel polish but that is still no excuse for trying to leave my nails looking like that.. and this was all after me and my mom had spent over $100. My boyfriend actually recommended this salon to me and it was the first time getting dipping powder acrylic by Peter. I was very happy with the quality of my nails and some might not like the powdery-looking effect of it with solid color but it rubbed off on me. In between fills I went to another salon for a regular acrylic fill and gel and was completely dissatisfied and one of my nails broke within a week. I went back to C'est Lamour to get a new coat of gel polish and to fix the broken nail. Vincent did amazing and I've never been so happy with my nails. They even stayed nearly an hour after closing because my friend and I were late for our appointment and wouldn't say what time they closed over the phone (Yelp closing hours aren't always accurate). First of all- I will say the ambiance of the place is a nice Parisian theme. My nail tech Paul was polite and nice. However - for me, if I'm paying close to $50 for a simple gel manicure, 1 - it shouldn't take two hours, and 2- please don't give me attitude if it's not up to my standards. I didn't get mad, I didn't give anyone attitude and I even tipped still. but I just left feeling like I got my nails done by a kindergartner. I'm sorry that I asked to please fix my nails and your manager/receptionist tells me "you need to pay first because you've been here too long". Are you kidding me? I didn't want to be there for two hours!!! Your tech finished putting the top coat and boom- that's it. Ur done. No clean up of the additional paint u left all over my cuticles and finger tips. No lotion or hand massage. I was afraid to ask if I could go wash my hands to inspect. After looking at my hands, I see nothing but divots, bubbles and paint. And when you took my payment, you didn't give me the option to tip, but I can go to the ATM machine and get money for tips. Take my advice- there are way better places to go to than this place. I have been coming to this place for about 4 months now. It was amazing when I was a "new client" but I went a couple days ago and I was amazed on how rude everyone was. I show up early to my appointment, about 4:50, and check in and the receptionist was laughing at me for being early and then continued to talk about me to another worker right after I went to sit down. Then as I'm looking for a color, Tina(a lady that does pedicures and also was suppose to do mine) steps in front of me without saying excuse me or anything to put a nail polish away and I have to get out of my seat and move somewhere else. Lastly as I'm waiting to be seated to begin, its 5:05 at this point and 3 women have been seated before me although I was there first, Tina leaves to go to Sprouts! At that point I left and at 5:15 I get a call from the receptionist saying she was ready for me. This place is an absolute joke! She's the best and doesn't chit-chat with you the entire time like others where I used to go. If you want a design, Lisa can do it. I have had numerous bad experiences at this salon. The receptionist is consistently rude and unprofessional. I did not have an appointment, but thought I would try as a walk-in. There were hardly any customers, but they said they could not take me because they had several customers on their way, which was understandable since I was a walk-in and didn't have an appointment. The receptionist then told me that I could come back any time after 2:30, which was 2 hours later, which I said okay. I decided to call before driving all the way back to the salon and luckily I did because once again he told me they were busy and could not take me even though he had already told me early to come back!!! This was not my first bad experience here either! I will not be returning unless they get rid of their receptionist and learn better customer service! read more
