I like the environment here--clean, calm, and comfortable. Prices are reasonable, and the front desk staff are generally friendly and helpful. That said, the experience can be mixed and really depends on the manicurist. I've had visits that were very good, but on other occasions there were communication issues. Once, the technician didn't coordinate with the front desk and the service package I had reserved was changed without being discussed with me. I've been going to this place for many years. I've recently been going to the new Hall location, which is fantastic. But I had to come back to this location and was severely disappointed. I got a pedicure with my mother, and her technician was rough with a nail clippers and the sharp objects. She forgot a few steps of the expensive pedicure that we got, and it was overall just rushed. My technician was doing good up until the end when she asked a glitter preference and I specifically said no to One. She then proceeded to do the one I wanted and then in a second coat with the one I didn't want. She had to repaint my toes because of that which led to a lot of cotton material that I've had to pull off and ruined the entire nail later. I don't entirely blame the nail technicians as it feels like it was a fast food restaurant with how rushed they were due to who books them. Where it usually is an hour long my mother's was 40 minutes and done with attributes to probably some of the steps that were missed. read more

I got a spa pedicure and it was great, the girl was very sweet. I got gels on my toes, I do every time. The next day one came off. I went back and the girl fixed it. The next day the same toe and another one came off. I wanted to go back before I went on vacation but it was Monday and they're closed Mondays. I went on vacation for a week and all of my toes but one came off. I am furious. When I called after I came home from my vacation they said they wouldn't redo them because it was past five days. I have given this place chances time and time again and I am so over it. Don't bother even making an appointment you wont be seen at that time. Went in for my 11:45 appointment and sat with my feet in cold water for 35 minutes before someone came and acknowledged I was there. I asked the front desk girl to turn my station warmer twice before someone even started on my nails. Then they give a half ass massage and didnt paint my toes the color I picked out. I get it, in this economy every business is looking to make more money without offering anything extra. I get it. However, when I came to this location for the first time I was surprised when I was charged $12 for my cuticles to be cleaned up. Because I had never been here before I wanted to ask the pricing of everything and the woman at the front told me $68, which included Hard Gel with Gel removal and french tip. Also, I was a first time customer so I received 10% off. So in my head I'm expecting to pay ~ $61 before tipping. As we go through the nail appointment my nail tech removed the old gel and then began to apply the new builder gel without cleaning my cuticles up. I asked her about it and she stated they do it after they apply the builder gel. Now, at first this seemed odd because everywhere else I've been to ALWAYS cleans up cuticles and makes the nail look nice and clean BEFORE applying anything new. And I said that to her, but she told me, "no, we do it after the gel." I thought, ok, different place different methods, fine I'll roll with it. Now this would have been a great opportunity for her to mention the cuticle clean up would cost extra, but she didn't, because EVERY place I've been to the cuticle clean up is apart of any and all nail services. It's like if a guy went to get his haircut and the hair stylist didn't clean up the neck line or ended up charging more for that. It's weird, unheard of and absurd. We continue on and this nail tech does an amazing job on my nails. I'm very happy (which is why this is getting 2 stars, instead of 1). She hands me the slip and I see the price of $80 and I'm confused, so I take it up to the front desk woman who told me it was going to be $68. She checked with the nail tech and proceeded to explain to me that the cuticle clean up cost extra because they have to soak them. I told her she didn't even soak my cuticles she just used those nail scissors. The woman seemed confused and handed me a pamphlet showing all their pricing and saying everything should be stated in the book and on our website. I've been through the website and the booklet and NO WHERE does it state that cuticles are $12 or even an additional charge. The booklet shows it being included in all their mani/pedi options. Here was my breakdown for a total of $80 $60 Hard gel $8 French $12 cuticle clean up I was charged $12 for my cuticles, which is just crazy. This is a day AFTER they had ALREADY "fixed" my nails, and I cannot believe how terrible this is! Twice in just one week! The first "fix," the receptionist assured me was free of charge, as it should be. But then, after Lisa re-did my nails, she had the audacity to charge me $30. I overheard her chatting with a fellow tech, saying she didn't know what I did at home, which is why she felt justified in charging me. The receptionist even pointed out that my nails seemed improperly done, claiming they weren't cured long enough since the polish is peeling and lifting. I do not usually complain about nail salons even if the quality isn't good, but this one needs a warning. My nail technician for my manicure was Ivy, she did not care for the pain she caused me. She was drilling my nails and drilled my skin as well. When I complained that it was painful, she brushed off what I said and replied, "only a little bit of pain for a little longer." This is not normal. My skin is raw, irritated, and swollen. On top of that, the shape is horrible. Also, I got Gel x, at every other salon they cut your own nails prior to gluing the gel x. Not sure if the process is different here, but Ivy did not cut my nails. Once I realized she was finished, I asked if she could clean up the glue from underneath the nail and Ivy look confused, made an attempt, hurt me under my nails also and didn't even remove the glue. I moved to this area recently and I went to this salon about a month ago to get a manicure and pedi. The service was not good! The girl who did my dip powder didn't speak a word and when i showed her the color I wanted on my phone she did something else. She didnt clean my cuticles or had me wash my hand before applying the powder. The pedicure was worse! They did really bas job filing the toenails and the color was bumpy and uneven. I ended up going back after couple Of days to have them fix it. On the second visit i wanted to use the bathroom before i left and a minute in, this young girl is knocking on the door so loud that I thought something had happened only to come out to see her giving me a side eye! I moved from the east coast coming up on a year now and have been looking for a good nail salon and am happy to say, I finally have. I have been to at least 6 different places and even ventured to Burbank and had my various experiences (from being aggressively "upsold" from the moment I sat down to witnessing a employee screaming at a customer who was quietly dissatisfied). C'est L'amour is amazing. Booking is easy online as well as by phone and they give a courtesy reminder call prior to your appointment. I got the "Royal" pedicure and it was bliss and she did a perfect job (thank you Helen!). The place itself is beautiful, great massage chairs and the vibe is so peaceful and quiet, I almost slept through my entire treatment lol. Lettt me tell ya... I made an appointment for me, my mom, and my brother to get pedicures, and me to get a fill. Appt at 2:30, seated at 2:55. MY pedicure was great.. except I asked for an express and all of a sudden she was putting my feet in bags of paraffin. I never treat myself, so i said eh and let it happen. However, i usually dont have the money to pay for the one that ended up being 20$ more than the one i asked for, so it's still annoying that she didnt listen when i said it on 2 different occasions. My mom's pedicure guy was superrrr rough on her feet and hurt her multiple times. She told him on several occasions that he was clipping her cuticles too low and massaging too hard but he didn't seem to care. As for the fill, the lady who works at the front desk just kept telling me they'd get to me. It took the entire hour pedicure and another 15 min wait to finally get started. Here's where it goes wayy downhill. One guy did my ombre (Jon? Juan?), and the other did my "design" aka the white LINES. I showed him the pic i attached here, and he went "ok $20" me confused: um sorry 20? for the lines?" "Yes because it's gel" so i said please use regular polish then.. and it was still $10. I dont think i've ever been charged more than $10 for a GEL design, no matter how complicated, and i think this is the simplest thing I could've picked. If this was all that happened and they turned out great anyway, I would've brushed it off and went on my merry way. But y'all.. just look at the pics. I honestly think they're the worst ombre acrylics i've ever seen. I'm leaving for college tonight and I'm now upset that instead of a cute nail date with my family, I spent 2.5 hours being tossed between manicurists. all for ugly nails. ugh. read more

The first time I went here ,I had a wonderful experience. So wonderful that I made my next appt for the same two people as I was leaving . The 2nd appt was such a disappointment . I got there at 10am for my appt (when they open) . The man that I had booked an appt with for my pedi was with another client . They gave me a girl who was not so great. She rushed through my appt the nail polish started chipping within a week The guy who did my nails.. (who did such a great job the first time ) .. rushed through my appt . I asked him to shape my nails more almond/round . My nail shape came out awful . The thumb looked so misshapen . They were done with my nails in less than 40 minutes and I had dip done on my hands .I think they did my nails in 34 minutes I won't be going back . My first time here... The ladies were very quiet but very nice. I called to inquire pricing and was told a gel pedicure with massage was $44 & Acrylic with Gel was $55 and up. The service was great but the actual work itself was not good My pedicure came out with uneven nails and uneven polish. My full set still had chunks of dried acrylic that the lady did not take off and some nails were shorter than the other. She also attended to another customer and left me for 20-30 minutes, which she didn't even let me know she was going to tend to someone else for a bit. When it was time to pay, my bill came out to $140 which I did not think the work that was done was worth it but I did not complain and paid anyway since I am not going to be a Karen about it. I visited the location on Magic Mountain Parkway. (I usually go to the location on Rye Canyon but was unable to get an appointment because they were booked.) I had an appointment set for 5:45pm. I was not greeted by anyone when I entered and was told I had to wait for 5 minutes but it was over a 15 minute wait. Once I was seated the nail tech was in a huge hurry to get my appointment over with and rushed the entire time. Although there was still about an hour before closing, the receptionist began turning off tv's and the music while myself and another customer were still there. I didn't see why everything needed to be turned off and felt like everyone was rushing to leave. I was also asked to pay before my service was finished, again because they were rushing to close. The nail tech finished by nails, and didn't put any cuticle oil or lotion. In comparison to the customer service and attentiveness I always receive at the other location I was very disappointed and will not be returning to this location again. It's all about expectations! Due to some minor medical stuff, I need my feet properly taken care of, and go to C'est Lamour monthly for a pedicure treatment. It's not a spa...it's a nail factory...multiple stations, many pedicure chairs lined up side by side facing each other across the room. It's noisy, smells like nail chemicals and I think it's terrific. Staff is very nice. Language can be a little bit of a barrier, but I've never had an issue, and they always do a great job on my nails and the rest of the foot treatments, including hot wax and leg massage. Looking for a relaxing day spa? Wrong place. Want to have your nails done quickly and professionally? This is the exact right place. My wife has been going there for years, as well. Make an appointment for a gel manicure at 6pm with James. I arrive at 5:55pm. He finishes his appt at 6:10pm and so I sit in his chair. He then tells me he has another person in front of me and will try to fish as quickly as possible. 1st - I had no idea he was running late!!! Mind you if they have a cancelation on their end they've called and asked if could I come in early. Yet, you don't proceed to tell me when I arrive that you are behind!?! Wow - I would never arrive an hour plus ten mins late to an appt and expect to be seen. That is the whole reason behind making a specific appt with a person you'd like to pay for services. I end up going to someone else since James is not an option. She removed my gel polish and never even soaked my hands before trimming my cuticles. I asked if that was normal to not soak my cuticles in water. She said the use of cuticle remover is enough. Customer service is equally as important as the service being rendered.
