I have consistently noticed that the station is poorly maintained and does not meet basic cleanliness standards. Specifically, the pavement around the pumps is disgusting covered in grime and debris, littered areas, filthy and vandalized pumps. Given that there is a school right behind the station it's concerning to think about the safety and well-being of the students who stop by in the mornings for snacks. This place is not only uninviting but personally dangerous. I can't recommend this gas station to anyone, especially with kids in the area. It's in dire need of cleaning and maintenance. I believe maintaining a clean and sanitary environment is not only crucial for customer satisfaction but also for public health and safety. Prices are higher than at other gas stations. Not just due to location, but the chain itself charges more which is why I usually go to Arco. Car wash wasn't great, store dirty and not much in terms of service. Not worth returning. read more

Horrible staff especially the Assistant Manager by the name of Gloria De León who stereo type customers accuse my son of putting something in his pocket when I in reality he could not make up his mind what he wanted so she assume that he was stealing. Mind you prior to her accusation he had made two purchases in the store and rang up by the so call assistant manager Gloria De León . I had been coming here for years not no more and if you don't want to be accuse of false assumptions I advise you wouldn't either . With that kind of service I would not recommend it to my worst friends . Further I just finished talking to the mains manager Corina ( no last name given by her ) and she is just as rude as her assistant. This is the nearest Shell to where I live, but it is also the cheapest Shell in a 15 mile radius. If you join the Fuel Rewards program, you can also get 5 cents off a gallon. Other must know this too because it can get crowded at times. I haven't bought anything at the mini-mart and I pay by credit card so I don't usually interact with the employees unless there is something wrong with the pump (like it doesn't take my credit card or it can't print the receipt). I've never had a problem with any employee though. The automatic car wash seems really expensive so I definitely never do that. read more

If on the other hand, you are in Alhambra and the off-ramp is uphill, you might have a good 45 seconds. As you make it to the Shell gas station conveniently placed off of the 710, make sure to thank your lucky stars and reassure Soleil D. that no matter what she says, you really weren't about to cry. Oh, and try not to curse out the gas pump screen as it starts playing 20 questions with you before you pump your gas. We all don't expect perfection from drive-thru carwashes. It's a an in between meant to give off the illusion of a washed car until we can do so by hand or pay for a hand wash. This stations wash is garbage. I purchased the top wash, 10.99 and it does a once over pass on drying. That's just ridiculous and a scam job. The hose lines connecting soap/water valves do not close/work.. They leak. Instead of the rinse you get soap. In turn you get a soap spotted half ass drying attempt. Save your money, do it yourself. Can I give this place NO STARS? I went in around 10:30am (6/5/14) and a mid twenties early thirties women with bad blonde hair & tan skin took my $20. How is it that I only get $7 of gas??? I go inside and she says "it stops at the amount" NO SH*T. I tell her I gave her $20 and she's behind the counter acting up. She says "I'll be right out" and I thought "okay she's trying to be courteous" NO. She comes to my car TAKES THE GAS PUMP from my hand and slams it into my gas tank saying "HERE THATS HOW YOU PUT GAS" Like excuse me? I was very disappointed with there car wash. No soap was dispensed. And their dryer did a horrible job. Only dried half my car. Went inside to talk to the cashier. (Did not get her name).
