I went to Tom's Watch Bar for my second time last night. The first time I left thinking it was very…read moreover priced. Food was over priced, drinks over priced. But the food was good. The view is good, but it's also just I Drive. I could see it being good for a game but imagine it would get loud. I went again last night for an event and had a good time! Desi is the best!!! Just wanna give her a shoutout!!

After numerous IG mentions, we decided to give it a shot. It one of those places that you pass by…read moreall the time. We went and was disappointed. Definitely gonna skip it. We were seated by the hosted and the server remarked, "Look at the view, isn't it lovely." Then I see what they charge for that view. And this isn't about money. Dude lingered over our shoulder like a high-pressure salesman. It is so loud in there, you can hear the games downstairs and across the street. I think after he lingered, I ordered a beer, and he asked, "Do you wanna start a tab?" I think that set me off because why am I starting a tab a restaurant? Their water comes in a cold carafe with cool looking cups, so that's a plus. Other than that, I don't know how they stay open. $25 burgers that are not USDA Prime or some form of Wagyu isn't it. $19 for 8 wings. $13 for a 22oz Sam Adams. Nothing about this place appealed to us. We were in and out in 30 minutes. It was a few people there when we got there, but it emptied out by the time we left. It's an amazing concept and the location is very nice, but the atmosphere and vibe is terrible there. I ordered a beer, and dude called it in over a walkie-talkie and it came out seconds later. That annoyed me too, he couldn't go and get mt beer? He just stayed on his post behind us.

Always looking to try out new places downtown and give them a chance to show what they are all…read moreabout. Pretty empty and they do have a food selection but we were just going for drinks. They did not have a "craft cocktail" menu so it was more of a look at the bar or ask "can you make?" Which is fine just not what I expected. Place was pretty empty and there seemed to be more staff than customers. Two drinks were ordered a spritz (that had no bubbles) and a martini for a total of $30.00. Yes I understand it's downtown but I still felt that was a little steep considering that this was a typical bar experience. The place was sort of dark, the music was pretty loud and there just did not seem to be anything special about the place to me. They seem to be struggling to determine if they are a bar or a restaurant. I did see some reviews that the food was pretty good so maybe I will have to go check out the experience with food and drink.

Stopped in on a random Thursday to grab a drink and there were just 2 people in the back of the…read morebar. Sat down at the bar and asked to see if they had any drink menu. They only had a food menu and already had some food so was not hungry. There are a lot of screens so if there are some games on it would be a good place to watch some sports - if they offered some drink specials. I opted for a gimlet with gin and they charged be $12 for the drink and then $4 for the gin. That is a little steep for my taste and there was no mention of an "up charge" for a gin instead of vodka. Not my type of place for just a drink, but maybe the food would be different and if they offered some specials.
