This is an honest review. The room was not that bad size wise and beds being comfortable but the cleanliness was not good. There were a lot of dead mosquitos on the edge of the windows, a few hairs on the sheets and the bathroom was pretty gross. Something was splatter on the wall, shower curtain was yellow and it wasn't throughly cleaned. I am blown away how the housekeepers missed that. It was on the cheaper side considering that staying in this city costs you an arm and a leg. A 3 star hotel is valued as a 5 star hotel. Crazy! read more

We had a great stay! The room was very clean and it was nice to have a passcode to get in instead of keeping track of cards. We also really loved the location! Couldn't have been in a better spot. Right next to the lake, and we went on a walk around the lake in the evening after arriving. Also walkable from the main stretch of restaurants/bars and the farmer's market! read more

This is a reasonably priced no frills hotel just off the lake in Klamath Falls. Our room was very large, and while furnished with plain furniture, was just fine. Two comfortable queen beds, a good sized desk with coffee maker, and a bureau/microwave/small refrigerator unit. The staff was friendly and accomodating and gladly gave us a second desk chair so my wife and I could both use the (large) desk. The bathroom in our accessible room could easily accommodate a wheelchair with a roll-in shower. My wife isn't in a wheelchair but has bad knees and appreciated the easy access shower and good grab bars. It didn't hurt that the hotel was next to the Waffle Hut (not Waffle House) that had both great breakfasts and good dinners at reasonable prices. read more

What a delightful surprise. When I saw that the all the reviews were pre-renovation, I knew it was worth a shot. Lucky for me, I saw the recent Expedia pictures first. Very nice and helpful staff. Very clean and fresh. New everything. We got a great nights sleep. Our 2-bed room was huge. Quiet neighborhood. Great rate. My single suggestion - when it's time to replace light bulbs, lower the wattage. (In the meantime, I'll be sure to travel with a sleep mask.) read more

At first glance upon my arrival I was a little concerned about the appearance. Two story hotel with outdoor entrances and some signs of age here and there. But the lobby seemed nice and the clerk was very friendly and accommodating. He changed our room to a bottom floor entrance because we have a lot of luggage and there is no elevator. The buildings seemed in good condition and upon entering our hotel room with a combination number the room was very spacious and clean with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. There was also a desk, a table with two chairs and the room was over all nice except for one tiny yellow stain on the bathroom counter. There is also a swimming pool by the lobby that we were told was heated. we wanted to go for a early morning swim but unfortunately the pool was closed until 10:00 a.m. so we were disappointed. The lobby doesn't open until 11:00 a.m. I recommend that the pool will be accessible using our room codes so that we can access it whenever we want. Overall not a bad hotel for what is considered a two-star hotel. In addition, there is a nice waffle House restaurant just a few steps away with great food. read more

Fourteen years ago I stayed at this courtyard-style location when it was part of the Quality Inn chain, when it offered above-average accommodations, comfortable and inviting, in a revitalized downtown. By now, though, it's long since changed hands, changed names, and I'm not even sure it functions as a tourist-accommodation location anymore. I checked on it during a recent visit to Klamath Falls, and it's now a run-down property in a run-down neighborhood, and looks more like it's being used to house a homeless demographic. read more

We did a Groupon for the hotel so for the value we received it was good ($53 with tax). There's a Waffle Hut across the parking lot and I do recommend the liege waffles. As to the hotel room, of course the pics on the website are more updated than the room we actually received. But, we had a two queen bed room and it fit our family of six. We brought a pack n play and an inflatable toddler bed (this just makes hotel stays more comfortable for our brood). The room was spacious enough with all that extra stuff we bring. Also, there probably is a elevator but we never found it and just brought everything up the stairs. There was a desk, drawers, fridge with tiny freezer (I swear a gave an extra star for the tiny freezer), microwave, table with two chairs, sink area separate from bathroom (also a plus for us). No bible found, my kids pointed this out. Lol. The bathroom was the thing that concerned me the most because there seemed to be a lot of patchwork on the walls and when I stepped into the bathtub it made noises like I might fall through (obviously it wasn't that dire but it made me nervous nonetheless). Other issue was the carpeting must have been filthy. My kids feet were black within a half hour of walking barefoot. It looked clean though. Overall, this hotel, for the value received was satisfactory and had some things we really appreciate (the freezer for our ice packs, larger room for our extra stuff). There's an outdoor pool and hot tub but it's snowing as I write this so we couldn't partake. But always nice to have a pool when you travel with kids. read more

I am a travel RN and worked at Sky Lakes for 5 months and stayed here the entire time. There are many poor reviews of this property and I was a little nervous moving in. I didn't know if I was going to be staying at a dump or a new place that is under construction. After moving into my room I realized I was moving into a place that is very much, Under Construction. They are renovating the property in phases and doing a nice job with the renovation. My room had a comfortable, new bed, the flooring seemed brand new, the appliances in the kitchenette were very new and did their job. There is not an oven or garbage disposal in the kitchenette but I can survive without those. The bathroom had a new sink, shower, which had perfect water pressure, and new toilet. The building is brick so it was actually very quiet. The AC/heat worked well. Rikki who runs the place is a solid person. She works hard and wants the Cerulean to be a success. She is fun to talk with and will go above and beyond to make your stay a good one. She is really cleaning the place up. Don't let the past reviews scare you away. There is a new Sheriff at the Cerulean and this place is changing. There is a pool for the summer which was kept up and nice. There is a nice park across the street to walk your dog if you have one. There is security patrolling nightly. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance too. read more

After a 5 hour drive with two kids under 2 years old we were so excited to lay down and relax in our room. Not only did we have to try THREE rooms before they gave us a decent one, we cut our stay short. The first room had a cookie on the headboard (WHAT IF MY SON ATE THAT), water stains on the nightstand and a full garbage can, the second room the bed was broken and the third room the ceiling was falling apart. Made a trip to Klamath falls for a Fastpitch softball tourney. Excited to play after months off due to the pandemic then northern California fires. We had to call daily for places to stay. We also utilized the reviews, however more so the pictures. This located close to the girls and downtown. There is a waffle spot to grab food and we may try it for convenience. We all know everyone's review depends on our moods and the service provided during the stay. I would say I'm disappointed after checking in. The night staff was, and is awesome from phone call to arrival. The price is high for the quality of room. We walked in and it smelled like a bingo center. Smoke and mildew. The floor had dust and the beds looked cleaned, until we started to get settled and we saw stains on the blankets. Both beds had stains on blankets and after laying down we started to feel itchy. The pictures did not look like the rooms! False advertising. One more night and we are out of here. I will follow up with management my here, the running Y corporate relations, as well as my contact with department of health. This is unacceptable. It's late and I will try and cool off and rest. When it's all said and done. Choose wisely. Lastly i want to give a shot out to the night staff. The gentleman before 11, and the one after. They are the only reason there is. Star. First off, the front desk was great (thanks Bandon). He was friendly and provided us with great customer service. Unfortunately, that's where it stops. The pictures, even mine, are deceiving because it photographs nicely. The quality of this hotel is really bad. The inside of the room is outdated and the carpet looked dirty. Everything about the room felt gross and dirty. The shower made a crazy loud noise when you turned the water on and that noise stayed on while you were showering, which scared me. Flushing the toilet also made a loud noise. The toilet was similar to the public toilets. The bathroom was bad.... The only place where I felt "safe" was in the bed. Seriously. At least they updated the beds. All my fiancé and I can do now is laugh about it and say "never again" to this place. It's expensive but I understand we were limited because Klamath is a small town. But please, we would never stay here again, unless it's been updated. read more

Remember that motel you stayed at, swore you would never do so again, and caused you become loyal to a chain? This is that place. Walking into the lobby to check-in where you told wait while the desk agent answers a call that in their own words had been in hold for a while and may have hung up. The aroma of the spacious room with extremely outdated furniture, that the 1960s wouldn't take back, was a mixture of mildew, dust, and stale smoke. For that classic horror film touch the TV had such poor reception that lines were running through the picture, giving you that feeling that soon either a zombie would knock at the door or the blob would be sliding in through the cracks around the door. The real selling point was the stained sheets that waited to greet us as we settled into bed. Dirt? Ash? A souvenir left behind by a prior guest? When brought to e attention of the front desk, we were offered new sheets so that we could remake the bed. Threw in a discount on the price of the room to offset us having to make our bed. The customer service on check out in the morning was steller! Four people behind the desk, one lounging in a chair with her feet up on the wall, and all looking at each other in confusion when told them we were checking out. I can't wait not to stay here again. For the quality and price try camping, staying with your in-laws, or sleeping in your car in abandoned parking lot. read more

First the good....The front desk person was very pleasant. Check in was quick and easy. The room was very spacious. Now the bad.....I was on the second floor. Walking up to my room there were cobwebs all over the stairwell. This hotel must've hired a good photographer because the room was a lot dingier than the photos showed. First thing I did was look in the closets and drawers. In the nightstand drawer, it was dusty and I found crumbs. In the desk drawer, there was a crumpled brochure from the hotel. I checked under the mattress for bed bugs but didn't see any. But just the grimy feeling I got made me leave my suitcase as far away from the bed as possible. I wouldn't give this hotel more than 2 stars at the most. read more

Stayed in Cerulean Hotel, Klamath Falls for 2 nights during the labor day, as part of our Crater lake trip. We booked 2 rooms online and after reaching there we found it to be a nightmare. the lobby in front of our rooms was full of dirt, spider webs, and off-course spiders & other insects. We straight away reported this to the hotel management but no cleaning nothing was done. The room was smelly and filthy. At first, we saw the bedsheet had few hairs, which we cleaned. Then, in addition, to our extreme disgust, we discovered that the bedsheets were having multiple disgusting stains which appeared to be semen stains. The Restroom was also outdated and unclean. There is no doubt that this is the worst hotel I have stayed in the last 5 years. read more

Hmm...let's focus on the pros and cons. Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful, clean with a laundry facility, pools looked nice but we didn't use it, nice location off Main St., easy to walk around after being in the car, and reasonably priced. Staff knew the area and were eager to share information. Cons: The property was recently purchased and seems to be in the middle of a remodel. Clean painted exterior and interior, but inside the room it seems incomplete. The toilet is industrial w/a metal plunger to push down. Ok, that's fine in a Home Depot bathroom, but who wants to touch that with their bare foot or hand in the middle of the night or after a shower? Also, the faucet worked but was very hard to turn on, control the water flow, and turn off. If you're going to remodel, then don't pick and choose to save $...it shows. The laundry room was effective (two washers $2 each load) and one working dryer with a Home Depot style folding table. It was awkward and needs a feminine touch. People traveling for extended periods need a place for laundry and thanks for offering this, but the room shouldn't feel like an after thought. People will use this room. There's lots of room to grow :) read more

I hate to give a bad review to any place because I'm certainly aware of how it can affect the development of a business that has possibilities. I do not need to recap the previous negative reviews - I agree with each of them. We should have heeded them. It comes down to this place having little care or thoughtfulness for it and I don't believe that it has much possibility of improving soon. Here are a few quick examples: 1) No hair dryer in room and none available when we asked at the front desk. (Keep in mind that we paid $150/night.) 2) There was one rear window to the room which provided light through glass that was truly filthy, and dingy with pigeon feces. 3) There were several piles of pigeon droppings along the walkway to the room. The sheets were clean. I'll say that. The office encouraged us to use the adjoining restaurant. They have a very nice Asian fusion menu and looked clean from the outside but we did not try it. Good luck to any restaurant connected to this motel. I would suggest that the owner of the restaurant check into the motel under another name and spend a night. Would you want to eat at a restaurant connected to the Cerulean? read more

It's not worth the money saved and the rooms are nothing like what they look like on websites. The bathroom was filthy and disgusting, I wouldn't even let my daughter shower in it. The whole room had a dingy feel, it looked like they ried to slap together a remodel and it was a complete fail, paint is falling off everywhere and all around shotty job. I will say the pool was nice, hit tub was broken and sounds like it has been for some time with no plan to fix it anytime soon. The only plus with the room was it had a microwave and fridge. Oh and there are obvious druggies roaming through the property and that was hard to explain their behaviors to my young daughter. read more

Dirty worn out rooms and a nasty staff. Checked in here (took them a very long time despite the fact I had called beforehand to confirm my paid for reservation). I immediately noticed my room was dirty, so I went back to the office to change rooms. The front desk girl tried to be helpful and check, bit the manager Devin came over and immediately dismissed my complaint and flat out said they cannot change rooms. Oh well. Stayed here as a stopping point on the way down from a camping trip. The smell that came from the air conditioning was so bad it woke me up in the middle of the night and now I have a cough. I tried opening the window but the screen was bent so it could let in bugs. They did have clean sheets and a good number of channels on the TV, but the bathroom didn't give a off a very clean feeling, as there was drywall dust or something on the floor. Not sure I'd recommend. read more

Oh my god.... the beds. SO comfortable. Three different rooms here, three of the best nights of sleep I've ever had. If I could figure out how to steal the mattresses, instead of just the little bars of soap, I would. I wake up energized and ready to take on the world every single time. Even if I had to take it on in *shudder* Klamath Falls. Sure, this is an older property. Yes, upkeep by the previous owners was severely neglected and the current owners haven't gotten to every single little project yet. But do you know what else that also means? THICK WALLS! Seriously! You can't hear anyone next door. Or outside! Or traffic! That means GOOD SLEEP people! Such good sleep that I'll be tempted to drive from Portland, just to catch up on my beauty sleep. And HUGE rooms. You don't need to navigate a six inch gap between bed and wall. Most of the rooms feel like they could sleep a dozen people comfortably. You could practically park your car inside the suite I accidentally got that one time. The new owners are definitely making an effort to fix up the place though. I've been in four star hotels in other states that aren't even in as good of shape as this place. I've also been in one star hotels in much worse shape, but that's in another review. No complaints at all, definitely my favorite hotel in *shudder* Klamath Falls. read more

Just a suggestion.... the next time someone interviews with you guys, dont give them your business card and tell them that theyll be hearing from you and never even bother to return the phone calls from the people who leave numerous messages. The least you guys could do was let me know that you guys went with someone else. I was still given a story when i called from a different number(as nobody was answering the cell or the "hotel" phone when calling for weeks from my number) just a couple weeks ago. Very very unprofessional on your guys' part and i will notbe recommending your company to anybody due to how rude and unproffessional you guys do a person who interviews. I came in late after a long train ride and learned that my bags and I needed to climb some stairs to my room. I knew I didn't have it in me (one is particularly heavy) and the desk clerk made arrangements to help me. The room was more like an apartment than a normal sized motel room. Incredibly spacious and clean. It is a dated building, but that did not detract from the stay. I stayed one night and slept great! read more

I would not recommend this motel. I say motel and not hotel because that is what it is, an old and very outdated motel that someone has obviously bought out and put a new name on. There is updated bedding, lamps, and a chair, but other than that our room looked like something you would expect from a cheap motel in the middle of nowhere. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub and a fitness center that no one seemed to know where it was (wasn't even on the map.) There is a restaurant on site which might be nice for some people but honestly in case the quality was anything like the room I just wasn't interested in trying it. Some people might be okay staying here but just don't expect much. For the price you can definitely find a much nicer place even if it's just a mid quality hotel chain. Probably the worst room I've stayed at in terms of value. read more

We just had a really great stay here! I found this place blindly on booking.com. they had a flash sale and wouldn't tell me the name of the hotel until I purchased it, but could guarantee it would be in Kfalls. I was headed up that way for my birthday and once I saw the hotel name, i looked at it on yelp. I'll be honest I was concerned about the low rating, but we REALLY enjoyed our stay here! It was so clean, quiet, comfortable, the room came with all the normal complimentary stuff but also with loose tea and citrus scented shower gel/shower stuff, big fridge and microwave, large flat screen tv! It was so comfortable and we will definitely stay here whenever we come up to Kfalls! It's close to everything and was a great experience!! read more

I have stayed at the Cerulean hotel for several days in April, May, and again in June 2017. The staff at the hotel are wonderful. Christina and Bandon at the front desk, Devon the manager, and the housekeeping personal all have a smile on their face. The hotel is being remodeled after it was recently taken over by the owners of Running Y ranch. They renovated rooms are great and the other rooms keep improving each time I stay. The beds are all new and are extremely comfortable. The breakfast is simple and nice. The coffee, tea and the fruit fresh fruit are delicious. There also are a variety of cereals, yogurts, juices, muffins, danish, and bagels. There is peanut butter, honey, jams, as well as Nutella! Cerulean is a budget priced hotel with wonderful staff and the facilities are nice and getting nicer month by month. I have found The cerulean hotel to be my home away from home. read more

I wish I could give negative stars! This place was gross and disgusting- the pictures are fake! This is the most run down disgusting place I have seen! It is a dive motel! The room they gave us reeked of cigarette smoke and had virtually no windows. This is the worst false advertising I have ever seen. I had a lovely, spacious suite facing the lake 8/25/18. Anthony was gracious to pick me up from my stranded location. He took my luggage to the room while I was checking in and was very polite. Carla checked me in and met my every need. She made sure I had transportation to Amtrak in the morning. The room was tastefully appointed, with quality bedding, artwork representing local scenes(great) and an amazing lighting system that went from romantic dim to wake up bright. The kitchenette was equipped with glassware and bottle opener. Refrigerator and microwave came in handy for a quick breakfast before heading to an early Amtrak train. This was a pretty decent place to stay. Not so fancy, not dingy and gross. We got two nights here, because we had a Groupon deal. Klamath Falls isn't all that exciting... But it's just surrounded by beautiful hills and forests and such. It's worth it to go for a hike or two. This hotel is pretty convenient to get to, just right off the 97, on Main St: you can't miss it. The one thing that was a huge bonus with us: PET FRIENDLY. Just a measly 25$ fee for both nights. I had never had to bring a dog to a hotel before, and I assumed hotels would ream for pets like apartments do with deposits and all that bull. That fee seemed like a steal to me. Another thing I look for with hotels: continental breakfast. I really need that and we are too poor to just go out to eat for that extra meal. They had the usual hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal dispensers, coffe, bagels and toast, juice machine. They didn't have real protein like sausage or bacon, though... That was weird. We had to load up on carbs and hope for the best. Sure, there were little things that were particularly quirky about this hotel... One of them being that the bathtub faucet didn't work. There was no way to make the water come out of the spout rather than the shower. That was really annoying because I wanted to take a hot bath, because (another weird thing) the hot tub wasn't open... no sign or explanation, there was just no water in the hot tub. That was a bummer. So, I had to instead wait a literal 25-ish minutes for the tub to fill up with water from the shower head. Which took forever for it to heat up, by the way. Very tepid, but when it finally DID get hot, it was demon fire hot. Third thing: one of our outlets didn't work at all. We forgot to bring it up to the front desk. Whoops. Fourth: the walls are paper thin. We had, what I am assuming, was a much older couple next to us who had their TV on quite loudly, and we could hear it as clear as a bell. Luckily they weren't up past 10 PM, because it was dead silent after that. Our second night, we didn't have anybody beside us, so it was nice and quiet. Overall, this was an O.K. place to sleep. I'm sure if we stay in K. Falls again (in a hotel, anyway) we'll be back here again, as long as we get a good deal! Comfortable and quiet place to sleep. read more

We pulled up to this hotel which is right off the freeway and nicely asked to use their restrooms. Please noted that the lobby is empty! The lady behind the counter told us that the restroom is for customers only. I guess you really don't know how to do business! There is a reason we walked in desperately and asked for restrooms because the can not hold it anymore! You are losing your future customers! read more
