When it came time a few years later to remove some trees, they were on it, and left the wood as I had requested. I just had them out again to cut down another tree, and the service level hasn't changed. They left the stump talk so I can carve a Tiki, and the wood behind that I wanted. They are bonded and insured, so that if heaven forbid a worker gets injured or some damage occurs, it's not coming off your insurance. I'm never use a different service for my trees. Today we had 3 very large pine trees trimmed and our greatest concern is always the furry friends that call these trees home. Other tree companies may scoff, but Mike understands and his crew always look before they cut. We greatly appreciate this. We also wanted to save branches to use in landscape around our yard. We've seen this at various So Cal parks and arboretums and like the way it adds to the "woodsy" feeling to the flora. The guys not only were courteous about this, they also regularly checked to see if we wanted any of the saved branches trimmed. Some yes, but some long ones will get a special arrangement and the guys helped haul those to a separate staging area. Aside from the 3 very large pines, we had cypress, juniper and a "smaller", juvenile pine we needed trimmed and "tipped." The juniper has a draping privacy aspect to a side patio Hubs was thinking of clearing out, but after walking through and cutting as Hubs pointed, we had a nicely sculpted, shorter drape w/dead branches cleaned out and perfect clearance from the house. The additional pine needed to be clear of a property line, but we also are working towards a particular shape with that tree, since it's young. The crew understood everything, communication was great and Hubs is happy with the results. We had to replace our overhead sprinklers with drip, we installed this massive and beautiful dry river bed, put in 2 DG paths, and planted over 150 plants. Plus a boat load of walk-on bark mulch. I have/had two very large Hollywood Juniper trees, about 80 years old. Their twisty shape makes…read morethem hard to trim, so I always call AC because they do a great job, from start to finish and the trees look great. Sadly, one of the trees turned crispy brown in July, and the other tree looked like it was starting to go. Rene came out and diagnosed wood-boring beetles and spider mites in both trees. He gave me quotes to treat the still living tree, and for removing the dead tree. I know they're not the cheapest tree service, but I trust them and you do get what you pay for. First they treated the living tree with an IV-like insecticide drip into the bark around the base, and then sprayed the foliage. So far, so good. The same crew returned three days later and took down the dead tree, which was up against a block wall on the property line. Heavy branch sections were carefully lowered down with a rope, so there was zero damage to the screen on top of the wall or the brick patio. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away. Great job, once again!

I share the…read morefollowing story to give insight into how I appreciate the don't pressure or try to 'upsell' any services. First visit was to remove a GIANT Indian Laurel Fig tree. I asked them to walk the yard and make any other recommendations. He stated everything looked good and none of the trees required any work. He gave me an estimate for the tree removal we wanted and scheduled the work. They were prompt when they came to do the service, and cleaned up the area afterwards. The second visit was this fall. We have grown tired a couple of our palm trees dropping seeds, and we notice one of our palm trees starting to develop a small defect. So we called him back out to give us an assessment and estimate. He again walked the yard and stated none of the trees required any immediate attention. The palm with the defective would probably need to come down sometime in the future, but wasn't in any immediate danger; it was still very strong and solid. Essentially, any work we wanted done now would simply be for our preference, but nothing required any work for the health of the trees or safety. We told him we wanted to go ahead and pull the palm down and also remove the pods from the remaining palms. He gave us a quote on the spot and scheduled the service for a couple weeks in the future. His team showed up when they said, completed the work, and left the area clean and looks like they were never there. In summary, reliable, effective, and not pushy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I liked that he gives deals for paying in cash and that I got a written estimate. He and his team are very detailed. They cut the palm trees to my specific liking (3 leaves remaining on each palm). When his team came, it was a big crew who got the job done on about 2 days. I love that they cheered as they worked, it was such a positive vibe. One very important thing is that they take safety very seriously. Safety of the working team, the customers, and the property. Everyone wore so much PPE. And every ladder used had a spotter. I greatly appreciate that Tino is with his team the whole time and he'll ask me to check and see if things are to my liking before he deems them complete. We did hit a pause because 2 of the tree trunks are near a street light. So we needed to see where the electricity runs. I tried call the city and LADWP, but it turns out what's needed is a dig alert. Tino opened a dig alert ticket. Unfortunately, we're still waiting for the city to draw the lines to the street light.
