I get facials monthly and regular spa treatments with professionals, and the services I had today were very comparable in quality and for a fraction of the price. It's a college, so don't expect "the spa experience" that you would get at a full service spa. But again, you are getting a highly discounted rate. I recently had almost the same service at one of our local casino spas, and paid $215. My service here was $35 ($28 with a discount for leaving a review on their page).

It is a government agency established by Nevada law to protect the public from unsafe practice by nurses." Believe me, in my year's of nursing, I can truthfully say that not all nurses are safe. Just google bad nursing practice. I renewed my license via the website and for a small fee, the board of nursing has taken care of me since 1976. It has allowed me to work in what I call the best profession and best career choice I ever made. The Board has an "Alternative Program for Chemically Dependent Nurses" which is a voluntary program for Chemically Dependent Nurses. It's an alternative to the disciplinary process. The Board makes sure that I keep up to date with the latest in modern practice. You would not want me practicing stone age medicine on you. I guarantee that. I am grateful for regulating organizations such as the Board of Nursing. Grateful and proud to be in this profession!

I also like to add these people who try to file complaint against one of the incompetent phsyician…read morewho works for the government is a 'joke' like it sounds like they're there to help you to file the complaint but little do they know it's happened to another veteran in 2020 or 2021 but no one does anything about it, just like the Oscar award where violence took place and nothing was done on the spot. This veteran that no one did to help from the VA assuming this veteran was a hyperchondriac but found out she had cancer when the VA couldn't find anything of such thing initially and was put on the news about this. I initially called up for Sam M. as he is the director of Nursing Practice attempting to submit a complaint on one of the federal government's nurses who wronged their veterans, and as time went on waiting for final results like nothing happened to rectify it. So a few months later, the issue was still ongoing and I reached back out to Sam M. and he referred me to Elaine R. as she is a Nurse of Compliance Coordinator & possibly a board member there. It took them up to the first week of May 2022 to complete the investigation and still like nothing happened to rectify the complaint otherwise it would have been posted and there was no disciplinary action done to their licensed physicians so they can continue wrongdoing against their veterans. I found out recently people are quitting there where I was submitting a complaint on that physician but it sounds like no one cares about their veterans but only themselves as I was initially right from the very beginning when this physician turned on me to make their veterans look bad. Is this how this world is all about to make sure they can get away with murder and not anything for their veterans when we have all the veteran holidays celebrated for us ironically how does one do that but contradict what they do wrong to their veterans? It sounds like the Oscar Academy they promote violence on the spot but don't do anything to stop it to right the wrong. That's why we have messed up physicians out there but people don't do anything to right the wrong and is a very self-centered world with power and money!

This was our second child (our first we didn't use a doula, but wish I had now!) and, as much as I love him, my husband just wasn't enough alone for me the first go around. I knew I needed some added support. That's where Jamie and Stevie came in and filled that much needed gap. My birth experience was extremely positive, full of love and support, smooth and without any regrets or feelings of inadequacy. I know I couldn't have done it without their preparation and commitment. Gosh, the number of times I pinged them in the middle of the night, even well before my delivery... I was always so apologetic about that, but they assured me it was no big deal and that they were there for me any time I needed them. Please, hire them. You won't regret it, I promise!

My partner and I hired Stevie and Jamie to prepare for our delivery of our first born in February…read more2021. In addition to Doula services, we decided to take the Evidence Based Birthing 6 week course taught by Stevie, the CPR class and the breastfeeding class taught by Jamie. The EBB course was extremely informative and helped us prepare for the type of delivery we wanted. I felt confident in my decisions around the type of birth I wanted but also prepared for any unplanned changes that may occur. The CPR class was something my husband and I planned to take through the hospital but enjoyed having Stevie come over to our house and receive 1:1 instruction. The breastfeeding class was extremely informative and useful for not only myself but my husband as well. Due to covid restrictions only one doula was allowed in our hospital room so Stevie joined us since Jamie had just given birth to her 4th baby a week prior. Stevie knew our nurses, anesthesiologist, and OB which was comforting. My birth plan changed from what I originally intended and Stevie made sure I was comfortable with the change and helped me feel confident with my decision. My baby's heart rate dropped extremely low a couple times during labor and she helped us stay strong and reassure us that we were in good hands. I couldn't have asked for a better team for our delivery and I think that Stevie is largely to thank for that. 3 days after my baby was born, I became concerned because he hadn't had a wet or poopy diaper in 2 days. I got an appointment with our pediatrician a day earlier than originally scheduled but still had a day to care for my child. I reached out to Jamie and Stevie for advice and Jamie got me connected to a Lactation Consultant and helped me make the decision on a feeding plan until our appointments. She even brought over a bag of breastmilk since my milk hadn't come in yet . I found out that my baby wasn't able to get enough milk from my breast due to some latching issues and worked with the lactation consultant Jamie recommended for the first 2 months of his life. I am now almost 6 months postpartum and now have a great breastfeeding relationship with my child - something I again largely attribute to Jamie. As first time parents, getting a doula was the best decision we made and we couldn't be happier with the services provided by Jamie and Stevie!
