His attitude was abhorrent and he should not be in any business requiring customer service. IF I could give negative stars, I would. After having my carpet cleaned, it looked nice but when I took the blacklight to the carpet, all the stains, every single one of them is still there! He said "it is just the way it is, the stains have become part of the carpet" and he was done with it and would do nothing to rectify it. HE damaged my dining room table by putting wet metal vents on it that they removed from the floor. I sent him (the owner) pictures and he offered me 50 dollars and would not turn it into his insurance, and for me to just be on my way. He proceeded to tell me they use plant based products and it may be from some other product that may have been on the metal register or from the rust (THERE IS ZERO RUST ON THESE REGISTERS). If it is plant based products, then why did the technician tell me not to walk bare footed on the first application? Throughout the entirety of both conversations he was blaming everyone and everything except his business, excuse after excuse. He thought he he could throw 50 dollars at it and it would go away. He said "if you damage a Porsche, you don't get a new Porsche". I never asked for anything new but to just repair my table to how it was before THEY DAMAGED IT, essentially to make me whole again, prior to their carelessness. (Updated) We had some sewage water back up in our basement that flooded the floor of our basement…read morebathroom. We needed to pull up the basement tile, pull the toilet and sink, and sterilize the area that had been contaminated. Servpro gave us what we considered to be a reasonable itemized estimate of $750 to do the entire job, so we had them do it. As near as I can tell, they did a decent job of pulling apart our bathroom and sterilizing the area. There were 3 things that left me dissatisfied. First, we thought the estimated fee, $750, covered the whole project including putting the bathroom (toilet, sink and vanity) back together. But Servpro considers that a separate project. So we were shocked when we got another itemized estimate from them to put the bathroom back together for $3600! We thought that was outrageous so, we found another company to put the bathroom back together for under $400 - far less than the price Servpro quoted us. The 2nd issue was that the bill was $850, more than $100 above what they quoted me. I spoke to a nice woman in their billing department and said I had some questions about the itemized bill. There were some items on the bill that I didn't think belonged there. This brings us to the 3rd issue. The woman at Servpro told me that the person in charge of our project would call me back the next day and we could discuss the questions I had about the bill. Nobody called me the next day, or even the next week. Eventually I saw the futility of the situation and just paid the bill - which I'm sure is what they were hoping I'd do. I felt it was, to say the least, a questionable business practice to tell us the fee for the job was $750 but that was literally for only half the job. And then they tell us the rest of the job is $3600. And when I wanted to discuss the bill with them, I never heard back. If this experience is any guide, I cannot recommend Servpro.
