Many Homeless people hitch this line from Downtown Los Angeles to Downtown Long Beach or vice versa. The smell is horrible! The majority of people riding on this train are lower class income people that has no personal etiquette. This train is out of control. This line lacks safety for your well-being. You hardly see security or law enforcement on this line. Beware of this line, you will encounter all types of people that are crazy, deranged, violent, smelly, loud, strange, weird etc.. You name it. Overall, it's a solid line for transportation from Point A-B. It's safe pertaining to engineering and train conductors. The people inside determines your experience. Ride at your own risk. This depends on the individual riding. If you have street smart and have a thick coat to tolerate these kind of things. You are good to go. So that is why I put a Maybe in rating. I hadn't ridden the metro since pre-covid and I was a little apprehensive in doing so as I had read…read moreabout so many fatal incidents occurring between passengers during covid up until a year ago. I was invited to a friend's holiday party and he lives near the VT Sunset station and didn't feel like dealing with traffic so I decided to take the metro. Nothing has really changed other than the A line (formerly blue line) goes all the way to Pomona now (used to end at 7th St Metro station). They now have some Metro guards that hop on and then off at Rosa Parks station. How about for the entire duration of the route??? One thing I've noticed is the day pass went back down to 5.00 (from 7.00) and the 1.75 fare (one way) has remained the same amount since before covid (probably to keep people riding it). The one pro to this station is plenty of free parking and there were a ton of spots available.

Welcome to Harbor Gateway Transit Center…read more Located in that city I was born in, Gardena. Truly was not sure where I was, but it's a across from a Home Depot, no lights or real intersection, but a super hub for the LA Metro bus system, including the J Line (aka Silver). Just off the 110 Freeway, by the 91 and nearby the 405 on 182nd Street. I was pleasantly surprised to see they layout here. Easy to navigate, plenty of signs and like a lot of others have mentioned efficient. Times for frequency on weekends are the worst. It was giving, " All he cares about is school and his mom and his friends (and work)." Does the LA Metro not realize people like to enjoy the weekend also after a long hard week? Thankfully I wasn't going to much further from here and caught a ride over to Redondo Beach. The area is a little rough around the edges, but pretty updated and cleaned up where it counts. Definitely should be some safer walking and crossing areas, outside the Transit Center. Public restrooms are available. Parking is also available if commuting with roughly 1,000 spots. LA Metro workers often around and visible. Great way to get to events, work and functions. Hope times, frequencies and connections improve in the future. You can't predict traffic, incidents or human circumstances, but you (LA Metro) can plan better for transfers and smoother rides from point A to B on their end.

A is more of an outside loop while B goes inside more, but you can find a live map here that tells you where the stops are and where the tram is at the moment: http://www.usctrams.com/map So legit! This volume is frequently annoying (local neighborhood lines, HSC, Union Station) but can even be to the point of eardrum pain for passengers on the Marina Del Rey shuttle (2010). Management acknowledged the problem but implied the problem was unsolvable. 3) Unskilled drivers accelerate fast enough to knock over students not yet to their seats, run red lights, actually close doors ONTO entering passengers, and management was hiring some extremely rude and uncouth people to drive 2007-2009. Drivers do seem to have improved in 2010/11 - though I use the service less regularly and could be mistaken. All events were not just repeatedly but consistently experienced in the year listed.

You're near the friggin' airport! True, but the Spectrum area gets all the attention. They have the train station, they have the cool shopping area. Sure, we're close to south coast, and we have all those nifty protected right turns here, but public transportation from outside of Irvine kind of sucks for those of us that work or are starting to live here. Plus, we don't have things like those Grade 1 bike trails that are available to the spectrumites (i.e. San Diego Creek). Not no more. Irvine recently got fundage from OCTA to start this nifty little shuttle service that runs on 3 routes: the A - Route going from Tustin Metrolink to John Wayne the B - Route going from Tustin Metrolink to Jamboree/Michelson (Pacific Park Shopping Center) the C - Route which runs around the heart of the IBC in a circle like a 5 year old manchild on a couple of pixie sticks. So, it doesn't go EVERYwhere, but it can get you close enough to where you're going if you're a commuter (like moi) who's trying to drive less. Since it's a new service, everything is... well, new. The shuttles are nice and clean. They look like those "special" school buses, the type that almost look like they would do well in a "Mad Max" futuristic world with spikes and what not. I think the Bike Rack at the front really helps with that image. Oh yeah, they have bike racks, so you can pedal your way from your stop to your work/play area if you so desire. Really useful for those that pedal their way to Metrolink too. All in all, I like it. Right now, rides are free until Sept 1st 2008. Afterwards, the fee to ride breaks down like this: $1.00 Boarding During Peak Period (5:30a - 9:30a and 3:30p - 7:30p on Weekdays) $.50 Boarding During Off-Peak Period (9:30a - 3:30p Weekdays & All Day Saturday and Sunday) FREE Riders Presenting Valid Metrolink Pass/ Ticket for Rider Connecting to and from Tustin Metrolink Station Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars?
