There have been times we've needed caregivers 24/7, and there have been periods of time when we've only needed a caregiver for a few hours here or there to support mom while venturing out to a doctor appointment. Legacy at Home is flexible and allows us to shift between mom's needs with very limited notice. After a recent fall and an ER visit, mom was sent home about 10-11pm. With a few hours advance notice, we were able to have a caregiver meet her at her facility and stay the night with her to provide the support she needed. The schedulers are fantastic and the caregivers are warm and loving. If for some reason a caregiver cancels at the last minute (car accident, illness, dangerous weather, etc), the scheduler on duty will work tirelessly to find a replacement caregiver and they will call back with regular updates on their progress - no matter if they are successful in locating a replacement caregiver or not. And most of the time they are able to find a replacement caregiver. They have amazing people who are caregivers. Many of them have made this their career choice and they want to help and support their patients. It may take a few caregivers before you find the right personality match between your loved one and the caregiver, but once you find the right matches, it's a wonderful thing! The caregivers select their preferred schedules and patients and you start to see the same people over and over again because they form very sweet caring relationships. The caregivers may even text an update here or there, if you also form a relationship with them. I highly recommend Legacy At Home. They have provided significant peace of mind for our family knowing our mom is being well cared for every day.

Going to the doctor can sometimes feel anxiety-inducing, but from the moment we arrived and spoke with her, we felt welcomed and at ease. Bessie and Dr. Harris work extremely well together, creating a warm and positive atmosphere. We left feeling very pleased. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Harris.

She did not correctly write down everything that was given information to her. She said that we would have to wait for the special request we made for a caregiver. I had no idea it would be two weeks and when the care giver showed up. She had another assignment and that took on a life of it's own making her unavailable for our time slot. I had no choice but to leave this company. I was told by Lisa that she had two caregivers to send in place of the one we had. Strange that suddenly this is a given choice when it should have been offered before when the caregiver could not meet the request of time with us. A company is only as good as it's employees which should also be taken into consideration of qualifications .

She was nicer and she did her duties that were written down for her. She came to work exhausted; I would go ahead of her and do things so she would not be asked to. We allowed her more time to do shopping as she had a very difficult time of it and would call and need extra help. She had a language barrier that at times was very hard to understand, making conversation unpleasant, and she would tell us she could not understand us. Victoria their supervisor was there to support them in all ways, you the client if reporting issues to her in my case were told that she would talk to them and that she did not want to have this conversation again. Lesson learned here for us is not to accept a student to work for you, their personal load just maybe too heavy for them to do a good job. I appreciated her diligence and the effort she put into my case. Old review : I had total knee replacement surgery. This company contacted me initially and we set up times. The RN came and she was Amazing! The PT came and he was great. What I have major issues with is I was supposed to be getting 3 sessions a week for two weeks minimum.. On my about to be third session , the PT said oh we don't have pre authorization. I wondered about this so I called. The company would not call me back. I called twice. I waited 7 hours and no follow up call. I called a third time around 3 in the afternoon . I finally got someone and they said, " Oh we don't have pre authorization." I said , "Then how did you guys send people to my house in the first place?" They still have not answered that question. I still should be having PT sessions , it was knee surgery, the Dr. office did send that over (I checked) , and still no services and no calls from this company when I should be having therapy. Knee surgery is a difficult surgery mentally and emotionally, and to have to deal with this is unacceptable. I rated the company a 1 only because I really liked the PT and OT. Their management , scheduling , return calls needs to be improved.
