    Sangria, so good!

I went with my sister for dinner on a Saturday night without a reservation but we were happy to sit at the bar. We had sangria, mushroom empanadas, ham croquettes, and a special offering with a Spanish sausage and fried potatoes. Everything was delicious! The service at the bar was great. The only hiccup was a chocolate martini that was also on the list of specials and it was truly awful with a very strange taste. We would definitely return but skip the dessert cocktail.

We went the day before Valentine's Day. We made a reservation (which I highly recommend). My husband and I ate outside. The food was wonderful. The wine was very good. Christina? (our server) was fantastic and kept everything moving, but never made us feel rushed. All in all we had a lovely evening, and even though the place was extremely busy we were able to have a conversation without feeling like we had to speak loudly to be heard.

if you're in the mood for tapas, Cepas is a fantastic choice! The tiger's milk ceviche is an absolute must-try--so fresh and flavorful. Other favorites include the meatballs, octopus, and empanadas, each perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The happy hour options are great if you want to try a bit of everything, and if you've got room for dessert, don't miss the passion fruit cheesecake--it's divine! The wine selection is good, easy to find the perfect pairing for your meal. Whether you're out for a casual evening or a special night, Cepas never disappoints!

We had a wonderful tapas and wine outing on a Friday night...everything was A+! It's a great gathering place to enjoy friends and fun!

We are huge fans of the original Cepas. Food was delicious just a few things they were unfortunately unable to provide. Otherwise the service and ambiance was great as well.

What a hidden gem this is!! I literally come to this plaza all the time with my daughter when we go to the gym and had no idea this place was there. Came with some out of town friends that chose this place. The reviews were good so I was intrigued. Glad we came because we fell in love with no one the food but the service as well. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Indoor is tight given it's a small place. But don't let that fool you because the food is very good. We got a sampling of various tapas, the Rioja Sampler, paella negra and dessert. The rioja sampler allowed us to try various cheese and ham selections which we enjoyed all that was on the board. The white sangria was tasty, had a cinnamon taste which was different. I think the paella was my favorite. The dish bursted with flavor! A must try! Service was amazing. I can't remember the waiters name, started with a "B" I think but he was amazing!! Very engaging with the table and his recommendations were spot on. We will definitely be repeat customers to this gem :)

Cepas Wine and Tapas Bar is a restaurant/wine bar located in the Carrollwood area. It is a small restaurant with limited indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant does not take reservations, so expect a wait on the weekends. Things I like: The food is served tapas style and everything we tried was delicious! I particularly loved the Baked Empanadas, Jamon Serrano Flatbread, and the Tortilla de Patatas. The food tasted fresh and was prepared well. Things I didn't like: It was difficult to obtain seating on a Friday night. I'd suggest visiting early in the night or on a weeknight. Overall, a great spot in the Carrollwood area. Highly recommended!

The food is always amazing here. I ordered the Paella Marina and it was perfect. The seafood was fresh and juicy (not overcooked) and the rice was firm and flavorful with visible threads of saffron. I had the crème brûlée cheesecake and it was just the right amount of sweet!

This is a little hidden gem in the area, it's a small but cozy bar that I just fell in love with, you feel like you are in a small bar in Gran Via, it really took me there! I loved that! At the beginning, we wanted to go next door but then we saw the lights and a lot of people, we were so curious because it's a small place and it was packed, so we were like ok let's try it out. We walked in and we got sat pretty quickly! We had to wait a little bit to get service, that's why Im giving them 4 stars, but in their defense it was very busy and they looked like they were a little short staffed, so we understand! When they finally came, Borna was so nice, he apologized plenty of times for making us wait! And honestly he treated us so well, even though they were packed. We got some Estrella Galicia, it was nice and cold. Then, we started with some boquerones and a shrimp and avocado ceviche, which was actually one of my favorite things, so well seasoned and good. My boyfriend and I love to go places and do tapas, so that's what we did, so after the first two, we got a Charcuterie board and the octopus, and here me out of the best charcuterie boards in town, everything felt so fresh and great quality. Borna, also recommended the croquetas with Serrano ham and cheese and the mini caprese, they were sooo good too. We are definitely coming back for sure! Great place for tapas and some wine or beer.

Lovely experience at dinner time on a Friday night. It was packed both the inside and the outdoor patio. Friendly service. We did end up getting an extra dish by mistake so that was great. We had the manchego cheese and Serrano ham and the Toro Bravo. Both were very tasty. We had a nice bottle of Spanish wine. They have an extensive wine list with over 400 bottles to choose from. Beautiful night to sit on their outdoor patio. Will definitely be returning here to try other dishes. Parking lot was full but they have parking in the back of the restaurant as well.

A friend and I ordered the Japanese curry and short ribs, and both were disappointing. The portions were surprisingly small, and the curry tasted like a generic TV dinner that had just been warmed up. For the price, I expected much better. We actually ended up going next door to GrillSmith afterward because we were still hungry, which says a lot. That said, the wine selection was excellent, and the staff was very knowledgeable. The food here is so delicious, just like my time spent in Korea. Innovative dishes like Truffle Jajangttoek, my favorite so far. Korean owned and operated, the owners also own a few of these amazing food pairing wine bars in Korea, and the chef has also lived and culinary trained in France. They have their hand on the pulse of what is popular in Korea as well as the US. We are so lucky to have this establishment! You won't find anywhere else like this in Tampa Bay. I'm definitely coming back for dessert and to try more! The Migak sommelier is here to help you choose wines that will pair perfectly with the plates that you order. I loved EVERY dish I tried so far. 1 트러플 짜장 떡볶이 Truffle Jajangttoekbokki paired with Red - Rich truffle flavor paired with umami black bean sauce in this popular Korean fusion rice cake dish. Paired with Malbec. 2 골수 Bone Marrow - Not many places serve this dish in Tampa! The exquisite fatty flavors are emphasized by the fresh herbs used. A must-try. 3 Chicken Skewers - The plump, glossy bites of heaven are dark meat, fatty, glazed and tender. The tangy and slightly spicy sauce matches well with the fatty meat. Paired with Reisling. 4 명태전 Pollack Joen - Fried egg washed fritters, served with a side salad. A very popular dish in Korea. Sometimes whole restaurants just serve various joen as their main menu. Paired with Gruner. 5 불구기 쌈 Bulgogi Ssam - Premade lettuce wraps with just the perfect amount of toppings and sauces, as the chef intended. Paired with white burgundy. 6 카레 Korean Curry - Some say it tastes similar to the popular Japanese curry, but this curry is definitely in it's own category of yummy. As the only Asian food specialist that has written about specifically Korean cuisine and visted Korea multiple times, can speak, read, and write in Hangul --- Migak is my favorite Korean restaurant in Tampa Bay hands down. Keep them open. Protect them at all costs.

Also, definitely DO ask him to serve up some of La Vid's house snacks, like their house Manchego cheese -- absolutely delicious! And then, of course, there's the wine and sundries selection. Some of the items we ended up buying: Lial Tempranillo from Ribera de Duero; canned polpo gallego (Galician style octopus); Fermin brand 100% Iberico de bellota (acorn-fed) lomo (pork loin), jamon (ham), salchicion (salame-style pork sausage), and dry cured chorizo sausage, along with a jar of the house Manchego I mentioned earlier.
