If you are buying a house, or even thinking about buying a house, start with Jeff. He'll tell you…read morewhat finances and paperwork you need to get done, when, and in what order. He will be honest with you throughout -- always direct and never smarmy. He will return every call and text. He will help you understand the whole process, even the stuff you didn't know that you didn't know. He'll send you matches through the app and respond to your comments so when you are finally ready, he knows what you're looking for. Jeff will take you to see houses and will teach you about looking for water in the basement, checking out drainage and the foundation, warning signs and potential 'challenges', as well as being able to answer your questions about septic vs cesspool, how much electric you really need, sussing out if there is gas on the street (for a later stove conversion), and telling you how old the roof is just by looking at it. And any other questions you might have! If he doesn't know the answer, he will find out. He is so thorough and eagle-eyed that you can get excited about the hardwood floors and eat-in kitchen, knowing that Jeff will spot EVERYthing you need to be aware of. He's also really personable which helps when you're spending entire weekend days with someone. We had one crushing disappointment along the way -- not his fault -- and Jeff's straightforward "Okay, that's in the past, let's move forward" attitude was key in getting us right back out there (and we found our house THAT weekend.) He will guide you through the entire process, through closing, and make you feel -- the whole time -- pretty much like you are his only client. Once you close, and you need an electrician, a floors guy, a painter, whatever, Jeff 'has a guy' and if he doesn't, he won't quit until he finds you someone. We would use Jeff again in a second and wholeheartedly recommend him!

Chris Aivaliotis…read more What can I say? Here are 3 things that sum up my experience: - great, fast communication - integrity - complete flexibility Chris gave me the best service that you can get when you're frantically trying to find an apartment in this city. He made me feel at ease and never pressured me into any decision making. I did find some negative reviews about Chris, but he took that issue head on and had no problem explaining to me what was going on with those FEW negative reviews. If I ever need to find another apartment, Chris will be my go to person. Do not hesitate to make him your go to person either!

If I could give zero stars I would. I had scheduled a viewing of an apartment with Jason Coooer…read more The day of the viewing he asked if he could push it 30 minutes back, which I agreed to. Once I got there and was looking at the apartment he tried to speed me through looking at the place. After HE pushed the meeting back! Although Jason was horrible, I really liked the apartment (there was no broker's fee) and proceeded in putting a deposit down to hold it for me. Him and the landlord requested a 2 months deposit down. I have now been informed this is ILLEGAL in NYC. However, I was from out of state and these things always vary. In hindsight, I would've been more cautious. I signed for the apartment March 13 and lost all of my jobs March 16 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Since it was no longer a feasible option, I asked the landlord if I could get out of the lease, seeing as it had only been three days and given the circumstances, I thought he could be reasonable. The landlord gave me 2/3 of what I had put down upon signing, but said that Jason would not give him back the other 1/3, which he used to pay the broker's fee. This is also ILLEGAL. I would strongly advise not making any sort of real estate deal with Jason Cooper or anyone affiliated with him. Not to mention the few comments he made about my looks during the viewings. He is truly sleazy.
