Had warranty work performed and it took forever to get scheduled. When they did come out they misdiagnosed the problem and had to come back out as initial fix did not work. Again, scheduling them to come back out was an issue. Determined needed a new major part. Was without AC for over a week. Meantime weather in the upper 90s. Scheduling again was a major issue for the delay. I would have given 1 star but the people who came to install equipment were actually terrific and apologetic. read more

This has been the most horrible experience. They were called out to my property by my Home Warranty company. They showed up January 2nd. The technician was pleasant and explained to me the issue. (The one star isn't for him). He informed me that the part needed to be ordered. Okay, no problem. Their customer service by far needs some serious attention. I received a call on January 10th (less than 24 hour notice) telling me to be at my home at a certain time. I informed them that it was short notice and the earliest I could do was 3. So I was told my time would be between 3-7pm. Okay no problem. On the next day, January 11th, I take off early, book it across town to make sure I'm here by 3pm. The time passes by. I called, and no answer (it's difficult to get in touch with these people). By 6:44, I'm sending an email. So there you have it, NO CALL, NO SHOW. January 12th at 10:43am, I get this response, "I apologize for not calling yesterday but there was a problem with the supply house. The part they provided my tech will not work, and we had to order the correct replacement part. It should be available on Friday - and pending delivery we can install on Saturday. We will call on Friday to confirm that the part has arrived, and schedule a time for installation on Saturday." Well, Friday comes, no call or an email at all. Now mind you, they first came out on the 2nd. January 16th, I send them an email at 5:35am asking for an update since NO ONE CALLED ON FRIDAY. No response to my email. I had someone call me the following day and once again, no 24 hour notice telling me to be at my house at an early time. I told them no since when I left work early, no one called or showed up and again, no one called on Friday. So she tells me they will give me a call back. Fast forward to today, the 19th and I get a call at close to 4pm telling me to be home tomorrow from 2-6. Again, no 24 hour notice. I told her I can't take off again early and I have accommodated them, they need to accommodate me since I was already stood up and then on a second occasion wasn't contacted as I was told I would be. I told her the earliest I could do is 3pm. Of course, I couldn't fit in that schedule at all. But considering how they have already inconvenienced me, you would think they would accommodate my request. So she informs me that they will call me on Friday to schedule a time for Saturday. What ever happened to giving a person a 48 hour notice? I don't get it. I called my home warranty company to request another technician because this is by far poor customer service. Then when I came on here and saw the reviews, I was even more disappointed. And I told them to stop using them, the reviews are TERRIBLE. read more

Like the other reviewer, took forever to schedule them to get out to fix the AC...over 2 weeks. They blamed it on the warranty company and the warranty company blamed them. I had a hard time getting ahold of someone at their office and when I did they was extremely rude (Darla). I work in customer service and if I treated people like they've treated me I promise you I would have been fired. read more

Horrible Horrible Experience! Please don't go with this people .. If it wasn't because my home insurance work with company, I would've never go with them . 1st- somebody came to check my AC person hardly talk to me . Told me what I knew already that my compressor was broken ! And I paid him $60 dollars service fee. Next- My home insurance order the parts and they are delivered . And I still waiting waiting one week past by! I Called Thursday they said is been raining so the appointment line as back up! Oh well thanks for calling and let me know ! And apparently we gotta pay $270 for services that are not covered by the home insurance ! They told us that the manager will call us and so we could make an appointment ! Waiting waiting Friday comes and goes nothing . Called again Monday . They told me I can't get an appointment until I pay the $270! Once I pay I can get in the appointment line ! Please really! So sad! No professionalism here! read more

The contractor was assigned to me by First American Home warranty. 28 Jul - Once I got the referral switched I called Centsable Cooling and Heating to find out how long it would be to get someone out since it was an emergency and our AC wasn't working in the middle of SA summer. I was told I needed to wait at least 4 hours for the paperwork to come through. Even then, they respond to emergency requests within 24 hours. I was understanding, but not too excited. I didn't get a call that night and wasn't able to get on the schedule until 30 Jul. We were scheduled for a show time of 1-5pm so I waited. **** 30 Jul - The guy calls my wife and lets her know he's on his way out, at 11am. (Great!, but I had a plan with work for 1pm, but they were flexible). The guy shows up shortly after I got there in an unmarked red truck with a for sale sign. He at least wore a company shirt. SO he goes and checks out the system outside only and looks at it running and decides it is now a good time to get the equipment to diagnose the problem. He returns and connects the compressor to the gauge manifold to measure the compressor and determines immediately the AC compressor is bad. So I ask about how long it will take and he tells me a week and a half. Obviously I wasn't happy but then he builds my hope by saying there was another way and advised me to buy a new system. Letting me know that will be a much quicker route. (I'm sure it is, but I can't shit $6K.) Then he informs me there will be costs that won't be covered under the home warranty. (I guess he was trying to get me to think the cost difference and benefit to buy new would be ideal, but this just made me wonder if it isn't parts or labor what wouldn't be covered [more in a second]). When I ask about if they are going to order the compressor and more information he calls his boss to get specs. His boss tells him that they will be requesting the whole condenser and shortly after that I signed the service order and he left. Now I have to wait for them to send the detailed work order to First American. Easy, he said it would be done in the evening. Haha. * 31 Jul - I called First American (FA) thinking it was done and I wanted them to expedite the buyer to get the unit ordered. NOPE! Not done. Karla informed me they were waiting for some manager to input the work order. FA took the time to let me know how the whole process will work and said that once the information is sent to them they can expedite the process with the buyer and get it ordered right away. After following up in the afternoon, it was still not done. * 1 Aug - As of the morning it still wasn't done, but FA called them while I was on hold and got the information. The unit was ordered by the end of the day. *** 4 Aug - Knowing nothing would have happened over the weekend (apparently the office is closed at least) I called FA to find out shipping details and got a tracking number. It was scheduled to be delivered in the afternoon and would have allowed plenty of time to get the install scheduled for the following day. That's too much to ask for since it needs to be checked and ensure compatibility after it arrives and then I'll be contacted to schedule only after that. No one called. I send an email sharing the delivery and requesting status follow up. ** 5 Aug - I call first thing in the morning and tell them I need a resolution and Karla seems sympathetic (I think she's tired of me bugging her) and says she will be working on it. Sure enough I get an email follow up at 11 and they were waiting for a permit from Schertz and me send the payment for non-covered amounts. What wasn't covered? Modifications (Slab code upgrade and hi and low voltage whip) $417. I sent in payment and they got the permit so they scheduled for 11-3 the next day. *** 6 Aug - They kind of showed up at 930 so there was no call ahead of time. I didn't mind them being early since I needed to work in the afternoon. They guys Arnold and Jose (I think) were very nice, professional, and didn't mind me asking a lot of questions and staying close. They got the new unit installed and then I realized the 229 of electrical work was new cooper wiring with conduit and a conduit for the thermostat cable to the unit. I could have gotten the parts from Lowes for $30. The slab was a code upgrade and lifted the unit. I wanted to ensure the unit was level and they took the extra time to help with that. They did a good job and made the unit was pumping cold air in the house before leaving. They got the me up and running, but I never felt they valued me as a customer just a client they were given. They do this all the time and are probably used people calling them mad that the issue isn't fixed, but I always want to know if not now then when. That's what they couldn't provide very well. read more

Less then 1 star...do as the other views suggested...run from this company, don't let them touch ur hvac unit. We have been w/o air conditioning for 4 days. Called First American Home Warrenty over 2 wks ago for initial issue, bandage applied. Now we have waited for a response from the "recall" we put in. ..still waiting. Called another company within 10 minutes of the call we have a repairman that has already diagnosed the issue and working on it. I can't even finish this review by the time I will be sitting in a cool house. If u live in the Seguin, Tx area Tri-County is the company to call. Will also review them. Run from Centsable heating and cooling. ...it's not worth your anguish. read more

If you get assigned this contractor by your home warranty company, immediately call your home warranty company and request a different contractor. These guys stink. It must be an ownership issue because every level, from customer service, to the actual service technician, to everything else with them, is a nightmare. Don't settle with them if your warranty company selects them. Call and get a different company ASAP. read more

Worst customer service ever! No one answers the phone or if they do, they sound like your inconveniencing them. They are very rude and just don't care. Takes forever for them to schedule. read more

We had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with this company because our Home Warranty company used them to do a simple air conditioning check-up. When they came to our house, they told us they wouldn't do any work until we paid them the fee. We paid them in cash. Later, when our Home Warranty company came to us for this fee, they (1) never called us back when they insisted on six separate occasions and (2) said we never paid them so we had to pay this fee again. I would never use this company again and am extremely disappointed in their customer service and lack of communication. read more

Literally the worst experience I have ever had with a company. They were called to my home by our Home Warranty company to fix a leaking AC; the first (and second) repairmen claimed to have fixed the problem; the leaking continued less than 24 hours after both visits. The third appointment was scheduled for a Friday morning and we were told Centsable Cooling & Heating would call back to confirm; they did not. When I called to confirm, I spoke with a woman claiming to be a supervisor (later when I asked to speak to her manager, she said she the owner, not a supervisor, and refused to connect me with anyone else). She claimed she was recently "brought in to fix these types of problems" (ie. my not being called back and my first appointment not being scheduled). She said Friday morning was no longer available, and scheduled the appointment for Saturday morning. The day before our appointment, the dispatch (Tanisha) called to confirm our appointment Saturday evening; when I told her our appointment was for the morning, the representative said there was no appointment scheduled, and Saturday morning was no longer available. When I asked to speak to the supervisor, Tanisha threatened to cancel the appointment all together and make me call back the next week to reschedule. Without a choice, I agreed to Saturday evening. The third repairman arrive outside of the window provided by Centsable Cooling & Heating, was at my home for less than 10 minutes to inform me the issue is not an AC issue, it was a plumbing issue and Centsable Cooling & Heating could not fix the problem. Because of the lack of ability on the first two repairmen's part, and the total disaster that is their scheduling/dispatch/customer service/supervisors I have now gone over a month with a broken AC, and am left with a invoice from Centsable Cooling & Heating for three visits without a solution. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

It is a bad sign when you can not get anyone to answer the phone but when your home warranty company can't either. We would not use them again after they came the first time and added coolant to our system. This worked for about 3 weeks. The second time they were scheduled to come out resulted in a no call no show. This is great when you have to take the day off waiting for no one to show. Please do yourself a favor and call ANYONE else. Even if it is your uncle Billy Bob. Now we are being told that it will take 3 days for them to send the request to our home warranty and then another 3 days to get the part in... read more

Stay Away!!! Centsable Cooling and Heating LLC is an awful company. They were supposed to come out on Thursday the 12/1 and they no showed and then they rescheduled for Friday and they no showed and then Monday 12/5/16 and they no showed and then again today on 12/6/16 and they called and cancelled the appointment. I have taken off four days from work sitting at home only to not have them show up. I left several messages with the company and spoke to them about the unprofessional behavior and the seemed like they couldn't care any less. Absolutely a horrible company; the worst I have ever dealt with in any line of business. Stay away you have all been warned!!!! read more

Unlike other reviewers, this is for Houston. We reported an issue though First American Home Warranty on Aug 18, and got assigned to Centsable. I think they sent someone out the next day. He was good and diagnosed the issue right away, and reported back to Censtable, say on Aug 19th or 20th. After that NOTHING happened until Sept 9! That's 3 weeks with broken A/C in Houston in Aug. Repeated (say 20) calls to Centsable failed to connect me directly with the person who was claimed to know something, but muliple people who did pick up (sometimes) claimed to hear from the one in the know that they were waiting for FAHW to get back to them. Calls to FAHW consistently said they were still waiting for a report from Centsable. At some point around Sept 1, FAHW claimed they would change contrctor if they didn't get a report "soon". On Aug 29th, FAHW claim to have what they need on the phone, and say that "modifications" will be required in order to replace the compressor, and that I need to agree to paying $289, since "modifications" are not covered. Why modifications are needed is not clear, as what they need to do is replace a part. Some technical jargon is offered in place of an explanation, but on trying to clarify, e.g., is there no identical replacement part available, so the modification are required to deal with that, are met with "No, but ... similar jargon" A few days later I call to check. Now they need to know whether then can use the same freon, or if additoinal parts may be needed to deal with that. Promises are made that this is no big deal, so they will either get back to me imminently if approval is needed, or just proceed. On Sept 7 or 8 the same guy came back from Centsable, and was not happy. He said he had filed his report with all the required detail, and Centsable home office claimed to have lost it, or that it was not sufficient. It seems to have been a total SNAFU at Centsable anyway, though they still consistently blame any delay on FAHW. On Sept 9th, FAHW finally admits in writing to have obtained a report. So we think action is about to happen. Nothing is mentioned about further approval needed. Sept 14: Leave phone message for FAHW. Eventually they leave a message saying approval is needed. I look on the website. Sure enough, on the 9th it says customer approval is needed. Sep 14: Call FAHW again. Cannot get to rep. in charge of my claim. Customer service do not have the documentation required to get my approval. So far the first 3 weeks may have been due to Censtable, but since then likely FAHW are dragging their feet. Still no working A/C.Update to follow. read more

Their service SUCKS!! I've been without heat and air conditioning for 18 days now. They claimed the property manager didn't return calls to authorize the extra charge, yet when he and I both called day after day, they didn't return any of our calls. This morning at shortly after 9 they FINALLY answered the phone and can't get there this afternoon, I'm not available next week, so I sit with no heat or air for 3 weeks. If I could give them zero stars I probably would, and the only favorable thing I have to say is that the technician, Chris, was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. read more

I usually do not write reviews for companies, but then again I usually do not get treated like I did from Centsable. I recently returned from deployment to the Middle East and thought I left the heat behind me. I was wrong. After relocating to SA and renting a home the A/C went out on a Thursday. I was told by my management Company to give this company a call to schedule service as they where the company to provide service. I called Friday morning and spoke to an employee that said that the service would take 4 hours to process paperwork and then would send someone out on Saturday morning between 9-12 AM. I asked to speak to a supervisor thinking this may help my plight to get the A/C serviced faster for my family. SA Temp is 90 degrees plus. That is when I spoke to the supervisor Karla. Basically told me that there was no way they could get someone out sooner, and that I could call someone else if I wanted (knowing full well I had to use her company to provide the service) to provide service. In addition, stating " try to find someone to come out the same day " while snickering!! At this point I knew I was dealing with someone that simply didn't care. I hung up the phone w/o saying bye. My family and I sweated it out until Saturday morning when..you guessed it NO ONE showed up! I called her office and was told by the employee who answers the phone " That I never confirmed with them " that I wanted someone to come out to look at the A/C!!!!! I was at this point flabbergasted and asked when the next available repairman was available. Monday between 12-5 PM. I was careful to say goodbye and made sure there was a confirmation. Monday rolled around and at 4:30 PM the repairman arrived!! He looked at the A/C and stated I most likely needed a part that they currently did not have. He stated he would call me when it arrived. Tuesday morning I called the company and asked the status of the part and was told that they would let me know when it arrived. At this point it was 5 days w/o A/C and my family had to be re-located to a hotel. Another independent company was called and they came out in 1 hour. They also fixed the problem in 54 minutes!!! I had A/C!!! I am still waiting for Centsable to call me back with the part and a date to install it!!!! This has been a nightmare for me and my family. Karla has to be in the lead for the most obtuse individual I have ever had the dis-pleasure of speaking to. I can't imagine how this person is employed! Please look at all the negative reviews of this company. They even mention Karla by name!! HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Read the reviews!!! read more

The company sent a technician to do warranty work on our air conditioner. The technician shorted out the electric circuit knocking the power off to the entire house. He then left with a check for $60 for a service call without doing anything. We tried multiple times to contact company and left messages not to cash the check since they had done damage to our electrical system and had done no repairs. The company chose to cash the check anyway. They have not even bothered to call us back. I have filed a complaint with the bbb but have still nit been contacted by this company. read more

Had warranty work performed on my unit and each time the technician came out he seemed to cause another issue to arise. Over the course of two months had to call these people back out four times. On the last call, the technician installed the motor incorrectly which led to the unit freezing up. Upon him returning AGAIN, told me to turn off the a/c unit to allow it to thaw and would have to return again because he could not do any repairs with the unit frozen up. A day later, I noticed a large water stain on my living room ceiling. Upon the technician returning, we found out that during the time the unit was unthawing, the water dripped everywhere causing the water stain. The technician never informed us that we needed to take precautionary measures to prevent such an issue to occur. On top of it, the technician informed me that during his visit prior to the unit freezing up, he had incorrectly installed the motor which had led to the freezing up issue. When I called the company back to arrange repairs to my ceiling they informed me that they were not liable for the damage and I also found out the technician falsified his documents when he turned his work order in to the company. He stated he only had to install refrigerant to the unit. This was true however, he made no mention of the additional repairs he had to do to my unit. The person answering the phone, Carla, told me that she knew all about a/c and that I didn't know what I was talking about and that they were not liable for any repairs. I STRONGLY recommend NOT using these people EVER! They do not care about their customers, have to come out mulitple times to fix the issues because they won't take the time to do it right the first time, and then take FOREVER to schedule a visit to come out. I will be contacting First American Home Warranty and letting them know that this company is NOT welcome in my home ever again. read more

I am also a First American Home Warranty customer, and was assigned this company when my ancient A/C unit finally kicked the bucket (this, and my other old A/C is the main reason I have continued my home warranty with First American). My dealings with Centsable has been very good. They came out the first time on the service call and recommended that even though the compressor was done, they were recommending the entire condensing unit be replaced, which it ultimately was. I was a stalker throughout the shipping, delivery and install process because its been 85 degrees in half my house for 2 weeks. The girls that answered and set my appointments were always friendly and courteous. Once I was told by the warranty company that the unit and parts would be delivered on Monday, I called Centsable Monday morning to see how fast we could schedule an appointment. They said they could not schedule until they had received the part and checked it (a little annoying, but somewhat understandable) I was shocked and pleased when they called about two hours later to say they has the unit and we sending someone out in a few hours to install. As I am typing this, the temp in the house has already dropped 5 degrees. I gave a 4 start because I am very pleased with their service, I'm going to see how the next few months play out and hopefully come back and make it 5 stars read more
