The day of my massage, I got lost trying to get to them in the pouring rain. I arrived to my appointment 1 hour late and soaked to the bone from the rain. They were amazing! Not only did they welcome me with open arms, they took me in right away kept my appointment. Luna was my massage therapist and she was amazing. She did a fantastic job and even made some suggestions on some problem areas that were holding tension. If you are looking for a spa and need a massage, be sure to stop into this place, it's worth every effort to find them, they CARE about the people who find them. Luna is amazing but they are all kind and gentle with their guests.

Breakfast was amazing with fantastic and engaging staff. The hotel is located in a quieter area than most of the tourist attractions, which was a bonus for a quieter, more relaxing stay. Restaurants, a small supermarket, and public transportation were nearby and easily accessible. We hope to stay again on a future trip to Florence!

They have a 24/7 concierge who helped us call cabs and give us suggestions. The location is away from the main hustle and bustle but close enough to walk to everything. The bed was bigger than the beds usually are in Italy and it was also comfortable. We could not hear any noises from the lobby or the street from our room. The ambiance was elegant and everything was super clean. They have a full hotel bar and breakfast in the morning. The breakfast here is delicious! They have a buffet style option AND they also offer items off of a breakfast menu for free. I'd highly suggest the banana Nutella French toast and vegetarian omelette. They also have a spa downstairs with a sauna, a steam room, infrared showers, a quite room, and a sitting pool. If I come back to Florence again I will definitely be staying here.

The hotel room is spacious and we loved the views on the water. What blew us away though, was the service. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make us and our 10 month old son welcome to the city. They were extremely accommodating, respectful, and kind. They helped us get a reservation to the best restaurants, even trattoria Zaza on late notice. When we were trying to get a taxi, but the roads were shut down because of a protest at the edge of the river, Bilal and Omar carried our bags over a mile to the train station and helped us find additional routes to make sure we didn't miss our flight. I didn't know that level of service existed!!! Thank you to everyone who made our stay so comfortable and welcoming! We'll definitely be coming back and recommending to everyone.

We stayed here 3 nights and used it as a base to visit other cities (Cinque Terre, San Giminano, etc). The ceilings here are huge and the rooms spacious, albeit very dark. We had a second floor room, so unfortunately we picked up a lot of the hallway and entryway noise. Service was very friendly and courteous, and made for a great experience overall. The hotel also provides a breakfast and has an outdoor bar area- but we did not take part with either. Overall I rate this hotel 4 solid stars and good value for the price and location.

As a tired tourist in need of some TLC, I decided to give Shiatsu a try. I requested an appointment…read morevia Yelp and Maria, the owner and sole massage therapist, quickly responded so that my travel friend and I were able to see her later that same day. In our correspondence Maria was clear about the cost of the treatment and what to expect - 1 hour, wear comfortable clothes, Shiatsu is a Japanese pressure point massage. That said, I knew not to expect a feel-good deep tissue massage. For those familiar with Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu is like an acupuncture treatment except it uses fingers instead of needles to treat your ailments (which include many problems besides sore muscles). So to begin the treatment, Maria asked me about any specific issues I wanted to address - tight shoulders, trouble sleeping. Maria has a gentle touch and she has a beautiful treatment room with Zen decor which makes for a relaxing experience. Though I wanted to stay awake to appreciate her technique, I found myself lulled into a half-asleep trance, just as I do during acupuncture treatments. This is how I know her treatment was effective. For other non-Italian visitors, Maria is very friendly and speaks English well (she seems to receive many tourists has her clientele). I was her last client for the day and she spent some time chatting with me afterwards. She recommended a nearby restaurant and dishes to try. Thus, that night I both ate well and slept well. Thanks, Maria!
