Tried the newer Greek Tavern in Gainesville, GA and honestly, I went in thinking I'd get something…read moretraditional Greek... but the menu is huge and I got overwhelmed in a good way. They've got Greek, Italian, pizza, calzones, seafood, American -- pretty much everything. My husband got the Three Meat Skewers. I ended up getting the Stuffed Salmon Monte Carlo, which was one of their specials, and it was so good. Portions are massive. We brought home half our plates plus dessert. I asked the waitress if the cake was homemade -- she said the cheesecake and a few things are made in-house. The carrot cake and coconut cake slices are from a bakery, and they had just gotten those in today. Good to know. The place feels clean, warm, inviting, and honestly looks kid‑friendly too. The Greek owner was walking around checking on everyone, which I loved. Service was great. We're already planning to go back for breakfast because the menu looked legit and they have a ton of coffee options.

I let the server know I did not want anything additional brought to the table, but my request was ignored and more food was brought out anyway. I also asked for my salad dressing on the side, which is a simple request. The salad arrived overdressed with the dressing already on it, and the lettuce was warm and wilted. Service and attention to detail were both lacking on this visit. I hope management takes note, as these are basic things that make a real difference in a dining experience.

They have a large bar. A nice set up for live music which they had someone playing Saturday evening. Ordered the decoy burger. One of the better smash burgers I've had in a while. Server was great. We went back to play duck bowling. He moved our deserts over to the lanes. The Crème brûlée was delicious as well. The duck bowling is a little expensive, $60 an hr but we had a good time. They also have golf simulators and putt putt.

We got a great table for our party and we ordered some drinks. My only complaint is I could tell our server as new at this because I felt quite forgotten at times as he would just disappear but otherwise it was a great experience! The cocktail menu had a bunch of great choices and I loved my drink! For an appetizer, we got a flat bread and some spinach and artichoke dip both of which were amazing! Super tasty and flavorful. For my main, I got the chicken caesar wrap with fries and this was a massive wrap! Super yummy and I loved that the salad was finely chopped. Overall, the food was super delicious and I wish we had gotten a chance to play some of the games in this place because the vibes were great! Great spot and addition to downtown Gainesville.

Well now... let me tell y'all about a little place in Buford that flat-out surprised the socks off…read moreme -- 5 Spot Cafe. I rolled in there hungry enough to eat the bumper off a truck and ordered the meatloaf ciabatta sandwich with hand-cut fries, and sweet mercy... somebody's grandma must be back there running the kitchen because that thing was borderline life-changing. The meatloaf was thick, juicy, and had that "somebody's been perfecting this recipe since 1978" flavor going on. The ciabatta held it together like a champ, and those hand-cut fries? Lord have mercy. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside -- the kind you keep saying "just one more" until suddenly the basket's empty and you're thinking about ordering another. Now here's the real kicker: they've got gluten-free options, which means I can bring my wife this weekend without her looking at the menu like it personally offended her. That alone deserves a round of applause. So if you're anywhere near Buford and your stomach starts talking louder than your good sense, do yourself a favor and stop by. Just be warned: You might leave full, happy... and already planning your next visit before you even get to the parking lot.

The waitress was on top of everything during the entire meal. The food was the highlight!!! I had cream cheese French toast with fruit ( they made it gluten free for me) with perfectly cooked eggs and bacon. The coffee was great and they had real half and half (not the kind made with oil) . I have to eat GF but hubby doesn't. His meal included a home made biscuit , eggs and sausage. I can't wait to try their lunch menu!!!

I am a Starbucks barista (granted, at a licensed location) who doesn't often leave reviews, but my…read moreexperience at this particular location left much to be desired, and I only wish to offer some constructive criticism. I have no intention of being rude, and I apologize in advance if any of the following comes off that way. I intend to be fully objective, as experiences like these do not bother me emotionally, save for mild disappointment. I pulled into the drive-thru with a mobile order (a Venti iced coffee w/ cream and brown sugar, an Egg, Pesto, & Mozzarella, and a chocolate croissant) placed roughly five minutes prior around 9:00 PM. I expected to wait for a minute or two, since the estimated wait time was anywhere between four and seven minutes. However, I ended up waiting in the car line for roughly ten minutes before making it to the window, and the reason why was obvious when I did. I wish I could say that they were only running behind because they were busy with in-store orders, but from what I could see, the customer areas were mostly empty. When I finally pulled up to the window, a few baristas were simply standing there in front of the espresso machines and socializing with one another. Yes, it is important to get along with your coworkers, especially in such a high-pressure workplace, but when you have a queue of so many orders to fulfill, socializing should not be the priority in that moment. One barista finally opened the window and politely informed me that they were out of brown sugar, so I asked for vanilla instead. They were happy to oblige. I then waited another ten minutes before receiving my order. Both food items were cold, and the iced coffee was warm and tasted watered down. This experience evidence of little to no beverage sequencing and no Customer Support Cycle, as well as, more broadly, a lack of understanding of and/or care for the "Starbucks experience." I'm no manager, not even a shift lead, but I can tell these baristas, however pleasant they were, are not following their training to the best of their abilities. I hope someone there sees this and thinks of it as a learning experience, though I know I don't often look at reviews for my own location. Regardless, it is important to hold each other accountable.

My last visit I asked for a caramel macchiato with extra caramel drizzle. I did not get extra caramel drizzle but instead 4 large pumps of caramel were loaded into my small tall coffee. I am a former barista. There should not be any pumps of caramel in this drink. Only pumps of vanilla, steamed milk, then layered espresso with the caramel. My drink is so sweet I can barely drink it. This is a caramel latte. Please train your baristas the difference.
