One of our local friends told us about this place and it was a safe option since they have dishes like fish and chips and burgers, but it wasn't our favorite place. It's on a corner and has indoor and outdoor seating. We went at 10:15 pm on a Saturday and it was really busy but we didn't have to wait for a seat.
Service was efficient and friendly, the waitress was really cool and inquisitive and spent time talking to us. I got a margarita which was okay, more refreshing than sickeningly sweet which was a good thing. Dale got a beer. For dinner I couldn't decide so I just got the fish and chips. It was okay but not exciting. I thought it would be good to have it with a fish I've never tried before. Whatever kind of fish it was was tasty, flaky and not too fishy but since it was fried I couldn't get a real idea of the taste. It came with fries, tartar sauce and some sort of green sauce that I didn't really care for. It didn't have much flavor.
Dale got the burger and fries which I did not try but he said the burger was awesome. It had pickles, cheese, lettuce/tomato on the side and he added bacon. I'm sure the bun came from a bakery and it looked delicious. We also got an order of onion rings that were mostly fluffy breaking. They were tasty but didn't have much onion inside. They came with a "BBQ" sauce that reminded me more of some sort of Asian sauce.
The food didn't blow me away but again it's a safe option if you're not feeling too adventurous. I wish I'd have tried something else on the menu. read more
