The inside of a bedroom in a 2BR/2BA
Yenny Z.

CentrePointe is great. I've spent Mani a night in building B. I don't personally live here, but from my times LIVING here, I've noticed a lot of nice amenities: - parking garage - gym - pool and jacuzzi - printer - security - leasing office - safe package handling - conveniently located on Overland Ave near the 10 and restaurants like Overland Tap, Doughroom, Ralphs, McDonalds, jack in the box, n/naka lol, kogi, mee and greet - beautiful view from the highest level. That being said, all the buildings look the same and it's so easy for a guest to get lost! It feels like I'm lost in a big castle sometimes!

I've been living at CentrePointe for over 18 months now and it is an INCREDIBLE place to reside. I literally do not have a SINGLE complaint about CentrePointe and I would stay there forever if I could!! (My roommate has to move so I'm moving closer to my office). The apartment building itself is very beautifully constructed and has a very classic art-deco look with tan, red and green colors throughout. It is almost maze-like which I loved because it gave me a sense of seclusion and community away from busy LA and Overland Ave. It was always very well maintained and the maintenance guys are so sweet, always willing to help out. There's an amazing pool area in the center of the complex with a bunch of comfy lounge chairs, and also 2 grills and tables so you can have people over to swim and grill on a sunny weekend! There's a hot tub and a small gym right near the pool which I definitely utilized when I'd come home too late to run outside, the treadmill/gym was very convenient. My apartment itself was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2-story floor plan with a large living room and connecting kitchen on the first floor. We also had an awesome balcony! The second floor had the master bed/bath and the other bedroom was at the top of the stairs next to the hall bath. I LOVED my apartment and everything was very well maintained. Everything was super clean and new when we moved in and whenever there was an issue (which were few and far) the staff was super accommodating. My apartment was truly amazing and I couldn't have been happier with the floor plan and room layout, lots of space, tons of light and high ceilings. As for the CentrePointe staff, they always did SUCH a great job of accommodating myself and any other tenants who had an issue. The building manager, Ethan Steele and his right-hand woman in the office, Lauren Hayes, were 2 of the nicest people I've ever encountered in an apartment setting. I was always at the pool on the weekends so I became friendly with both of them and they were always super eager to help and everyone in the complex seemed to have a great relationship with them. They truly set the upbeat and positive energy that encompasses CentrePointe. As I said before, the maintenance and cleaning staff, as well as the security guards, were always kind and friendly when I'd run into them. I was also really happy with the location of CentrePointe. Overland Ave. can be a busy street at times but you're in walking distance of pretty much anything you need. There are grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, a gym, frozen yogurt (!), and so much more right across the street. There's also my favorite brunch spot, The Overland Cafe (bottomless mimosas!), about 2 minutes away which I always went to on Sat. and Sun. Overall I absolutely loved my time at CentrePointe and I'm so bummed I have to leave! But I would recommend it to anyone who needs a friendly, well-maintained, open-spaced community with all the amenities one would need in a city setting.

Bird crap on my balcony
Stevo J.

I just moved in here and notice there is a major pigeon bird problem in my corner of the building. There's bird crap and feathers in my balcony and pigeons all around the general area. It looks like the management has tried their best to make the birds go away by putting bird scare away goop on the ledges but they birds have already made this area their home. The units and building amenities are nice but the bird problem is enough to make me want to leave. I will talk to management to see if I can get transferred to another unit far away from the birds.

#3 - bait-and-switch misleading Posted Ad for $2,500 shown.

Nice place. Visited friends here. Spacious. Nice. Don't know what the rent is but I'm sure it's pricey. Worse problem is the parking

The building also has a really nice gym, which has been a huge plus for me. It's convenient, clean, and well-maintained. The neighbors are friendly, and the overall community feels welcoming. One of the biggest reasons I've enjoyed living here so much is because of Danny and Stephanie. They're always helpful, responsive, and truly care about the people who live here. They don't make you feel like just another tenant -- they treat you like family. Anytime something needs attention or an issue comes up, they handle it very quickly and efficiently. If you have two spaces and don't have two cars, you can always get them into your other space to avoid street parking. With meters and lots all over the area, what else would expect from the city life? It's safe here and frequently monitored by SouthPark officers as well. What I'll sorely miss about this place were the relationships that I built. I knew the entire staff and would wave, talk, and truly lean in with them all. Whether it was before/after work, going out for the night, or chatting, they were more than friendly. They became my community of friends. They felt like family. If you want a place that does not feel pretentious, has a community of others that say "hi" to you, and is close to the core of DTLA, come live here. It will be hard to find a staff that manages the building and secures it, then you will find it at ELLEVEN. Recently (4 months) moved to LA and I am very pleased with MLofts so far:…read more General Building: Very clean, modern, simple but well maintained. Cleaning staff of what I can tell might be only 2 people do a great job of handling the occasional mess. Apartments: Well maintained, appliances are pretty good, but all compact versions as the rooms themselves are pretty small. Decent amount of cabinet space, and high ceilings so if you can make use of vertical storage, you should be in good shape. Floors are concrete so while they are easy to clean, they are also very cold. Not recommended for families due to size, but couples can make due and singles will be fine as long as you don't have a lot of stuff. Amenities: - Parking is limited to 1 space per apartment which would be one of the few drawbacks but some of the neighboring streets have free parking with only 1 day where you have to move the car for street cleaning. Streets in the area are also very safe seeming.. Building has electric car charging spots also. - Gym Equipment is relatively new, good quality and kept clean. Nothing too fancy, similar to a nice hotel. Would be nice to have 1 or 2 more items but definitely adequate for a relatively small apartment complex. Also, never busy and 24 hours (although be careful after hours as I believe the person directly above can hear the noise from the gym). Two large TV's for watching games etc. - Coffee Commissary: This place is great. While it's not part of MLofts, it is in the same building and is a good place to do work. - Pet Run: This is a secure walkway where you can walk your dog. A great idea in concept but I generally walk around the block to the grass. - Laundry: 1 washer/ 1 dryer on every floor. Seems like not enough but I've only occasionally run into a situation where I had to borrow another floor's. Laundry rooms are relatively clean (as far as laundry rooms go anyway). - Common gathering areas: Firepit, common area tables and penthouse grills are all well maintained. These areas don't seem to get much use. While they are nice to have, I think it's probably because it's a bit awkward to have a gathering or to hang out in the middle of the common where you are in view of basically everyone else that lives in the complex (unless you're into that sort of thing). The penthouse grill area is more private which is nice, but again, I've never seen a gathering up there. - Wifi in lobby/gym: This seems a little spotty, but there's general cell service in the area. Staff: Julie the Property Manager and Stephanie the Assistant Community Manager are definitely a huge plus for this place. Both of them are very responsive to concerns and will go out of their way to take care of issues. They have responded to all of our maintenance requests within 24 hours. They even move all of the packages into the locked office before they leave for the weekend and put them back out in front of your mailbox to minimize the chance of theft. Residents: Generally young professionals who keep to themselves, very dog friendly.
