I want to start off this review by saying I am a lifelong resident of the Turlock area and have…read morebeen a Woods Furniture Customer for most of my adult life. Now, A few years back my wife and I were saddened by the possibility of Woods Furniture closing as they had all kinds of "going out of business" and "Retirement" banners around their store. We needed a new living room set so we stopped in. Come to find out it was one of the brothers who was "retiring" and "going out of business", nonetheless we purchased a very nice, very pricy sectional for our living room. This transaction and subsequent delivery/setup went well. The beginning of October, my recliner, which was also a Woods purchase, was not working out for me, so I went in to purchase another. After much consideration, I special ordered a recliner. Due to the current outbreak, the order would not be here for 4-6 weeks. In late October, my wife decides to replace the bedroom furniture and we go to, of course, Woods. Again, nothing is in stock and we order what the wife selected. 2-4 weeks we were told. November 14, 2020 my wife had spent over three hours back and forth on the phone with Woods to get a status on our orders. She was told the bedroom furniture was ready and they had pulled pieces from other orders to get it ready for us. I was not happy with that since someone else would be left waiting, possibly longer than we have been. We were also told the manufacturer of the recliner (Flexsteel) did not have the material in stock to cover the recliner and had no idea when it would be in stock. At this point we were at the 6 week mark on the recliner order and WE had to call to get a status. Before, communications were always top notch and we were notified of any delays. We decided to cancel both orders and get a refund and I won't get into how that went. Long story short, I went to another long time furniture store in Hughson and bought a recliner, which was a match to what I had ordered at Woods, but at half the cost. We went to a newer furniture store in Downtown Turlock and found similar bedroom furniture for cheaper too. Needless to say, I won't be back to Woods Furniture. Just a different, bad vibe and absolutely zero customer service after the purchase.

Holly greeted us as we entered, and she didn't even bat an eye as my enthusiastic toddler made her way through all the treasures that happened to be at her eye level. We had a decent sized group of each age, and we came at the right time for us to comb through the store and all find things we loved! We planned to make our own malas and found wonderfully priced strings of stones and all sorts of different strings, glass beads, metal accessories, tumbled stones, bells, and bags, and trinkets galore. What a lovely store ran by such a gem of a person, Holly was so helpful and kind as she interacted with each of us. Her prices are very fair, and her reason being so that many won't feel turned away from finding what they're meant to! For myself, I went with a string of fluorite, lavender jade, and phosphosiderite, and a gorgeous rose carved fresh water pearl to make my mala. I cannot wait to come back to this store and purchase more beads and visit with Holly again. But when I returned to snap a few photos and and do a little more shopping before I wrote a review, I was told by the owner that I was not allowed to take any pictures and that any photos that would be distributed would have to come from her...too bad she is clueless as to how this website functions. Anyway, the tone in her voice and look on her face made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. So I left. I guess I should have reminded her how much money I spent on my last trip to her store. Maybe she would have been more friendly? Long story short...you can meet almost all of your dance needs here, the prices are fair and the store is cute but after today I have a bad taste in my mouth and wont be returning.
