I posted a negative review and can't find how to delete it. It was for the WRONG shoe business. I've never used Central Shoe Service. My sincere apologies. read more

This place is probably great if you don't have a job and have the time to wait around for them to actually be there. They're only open from 9AM to 5PM but aren't actually there during store hours so I guess you've got to just...catch them? I don't have that kind of time personally. I took an hour off of work to drop off some shoes for minor repairs but when I showed up, around 9:15 on a Wednesday but they weren't open. I waited around for about half an hour but no one came in. Unprofessional and a waste of the money I spent on parking. read more

I brought in a pair of cowboy boots that needed to be fixed.. They did a fabulous job. I would go nowhere else.

Central Shoe has been in Worcester for decades and the service and finished product are always exceptional. The business has been written up in the Telegram numerous times. As to the review regarding the proprietor not being there on September 25th, which is the date of the review, he was out of state for a family matter. I was told the store would not be open that week when I dropped shoes off the week before. The business is owned and operated by one person with some part time help occasionally. They do fabulous work at reasonable prices. read more

Cash-only, Pay up front. They do great work with tremendous volume. My old cobbler died and I wasn't sure I'd find another since this seems like an industry from the past. It feels so much better to get older, quality shoe wear fixed nowadays, rather than throwing them out when they just need some TLC. Hunting for new shoes in your size especially with supply-chain issues doesn't seem like a fruitful endeavor. So far, I've had 2 pairs of Keen boots (winter and hiking) completely rehabbed and just dropped off a pair of wellies. I'm literally looking through my stuff I haven't already thrown out to bring in and fix. This is a great place. read more

Paul is an amazing owner and always pleasant. My shoes get done on time at a reasonable price.

Amazing work! The owner is great, friendly and professional, wonderful customer service!!! He's always so pleasant! Prices are great as well. read more

These folks live up to their great reputation with shoes, and are a pleasure to talk to as well. I had a pair of Frye boots with leather soles that I've always loved, but the leather was slippery and I needed further grip to walk in the fall/winter weather conditions. They shined and waterproofed them, then added new Vibram soles and I will have them for years to come! The cost was very reasonable especially when compared to another shoe repair place in the area. read more

Wonderful repair on my husband's Alden loafers. I was ready to throw them away. Good as new!

This place and its owner and whomever he has helping him.........WONDERFUL!! I think I have been a customer since my teens and I'm 45. Where possible (usually always) I refuse to go anywhere else! Thank you for the years of your fantastic craft! read more

Central Shoe resoled my boots and they did an amazing job. They look better than when I dropped them off. I will definitely be bringing all my shoes here. Glad I found this place. read more

I had my daughters horse back riding boot resoled. They needed heel repair. They were done on time as promised and for what was quoted! The prices were amazing. Not only that but I was also asking about my full length riding boots being stretched and they had great recommendations on how to fix my issue. They took the time to discuss my concerns and remembered me by name when I returned to pick up my shoes. Amazing service with that family like atmosphere that you just don't get any more. I wouldn't go anywhere else!! Highly recommended. read more

These guys have been keeping my shoes alive and looking great for years. From Allen Edmonds dress shoes to casual leather Ecco walkers they handle everything with care. Really terrific service, very reasonable prices and excellent work! read more

Quality workmanship and polite friendly owner/operator. The workmanship and attention to detail is evident in every repair I have ever had done at this location. I can't recommend it any higher. read more

Amazing, quick and offers reasonable prices. I was ready to give up on a pair of Tory Burch flats that I abused and destroyed. To my surprise, this place offered me a great price to have the leather of my flats conditioned, soles glued up, and scuff marks cleaned up.. all for $10! Had it only been a condition then they would've only charged $5. Awesome customer service. Shoes are as good as new! Will be coming back soon. read more

This place rules. Good prices. Fast and friendly service. High quality. They've brought many pairs of my shoes/boots back to life. They're straight up, honest cobblers, and won't suggest you replace the whole sole if it's not necessary. I live in Boston, yet bring my shoes all the way here for repair. Sooo worth it. Also tried another Worcester shoe repair place that duals as a bridal place... but Central Shoe gets the prize. read more

These guys are amazing. Their prices can't be beat, they are kind, friendly and professional. I have brought high heels, boots, bags, a leather coat and sandals to them since 1998. They exceed my expectations every time. EVERY TIME. They are so consistent with their quality and fair in their pricing that I have taken friends' shoes from Boston here to be fixed. I would recommend them to anyone looking for friendly, professional service at an incredible price. read more

If I had one word to describe Central Shoe, it would be "HONEST". If your shoe isnt worth repairing they will tell you you're better off buying a new pair and any work they do, they always do at a fair price. I have a pair of black designer pumps with intricate white embroidery and they not only replaced both the heels but somehow managed to polish them without leaving a mark on the stiching. They turned an old pair of leather soled western boots into an awesome pair of motorcycle boots with thick lug soles and a toe patch for me. The list goes on, suffice it to say, if its made of leather and is worn, torn, ripped or broken they can fix it and at a reasonable price. read more

Simply horrible. I was yelled at and told to leave by owner Rob Zaza when I came in asking for a refund on the work he did on my leather jacket. I orignally had brought it in for him to evaluate, he said it was no problem to buff and shine, and he would have it Monday -- by that Wednesday, I checked in, and he had forgotten about it entirely. But it gets worse: When I did get it back, it ended up staining the new clothes I purchased for my holiday pictures. (I wore the jacket to the photo studio due to the cold; I did not expect it to ruin my outfit.) When I came in to ask for a refund, he, at first, would not speak with me, then aggressively told me he would not give me any refund. He became loud and angry, saying he would not do it because it took him too long to work on in the first place (likely rushed that Wednesday). Avoid this shop. read more

I took my leather heel boots in today and the owner said they were closing but he could fix the bottom of my heels in 10min. I was super excited because I planned on wearing them that night. He was very nice and he placed a rubber (not plastic) part on the bottom of my heels. Now I can walk and not worry about it cracking again. read more

Put new soles on a pair of my dress shoes. Picked them up and they had been shined as well. Great job all around and very affordable!

On a Monday, I brought a pair of black leather pumps and a pair of camel leather knee high boots to have the rubber on the heels replaced. I lost the rubber on the boots midday and couldn't change out of them right away so I did a number on them. I wasn't sure anyone would be able to match the existing color but didn't mention it. The man behind the counter offered to have them ready by Wednesday, but I knew I wouldn't be able to pick them up until Saturday so that's the day I requested. Saturday morning I went in and the boots weren't quite finished. The rubber was a brown color and they didn't try to repair the leather on either pair. I'm satisfied with the price and the results but I might try somewhere else next time. read more

Had the soles re-glued and stitched on my Ferragamo shoes, the work was excellent and the price was ridiculously low.

I took my shoes to another repair shop in Worcester and was utterly unimpressed. All I wanted was to remove a layer of the brown polish in order to get the original color. Had to take my shoes to Central since the original guy did such a haphazard and unprofessional job. The guys at this place are amazing! Courteous and very professional. They totally re-polished and made my shoes look even newer! Will definitely come back again. read more

I love this place. They are extremely friendly and do a great job shining dress shoes. I am here almost every other week to get my shoes shined. You can trust them with any kind of high end shoe here. I've bring my Ferragamos here, which should indicate the level of work they do here. They have great prices too. Not too expensive. read more

Willing to look at a job but was very short on phone. This may be a reason I would not use this service. Excellent customer service skills are a must in any business! read more

Amazing service! Super knowledgeable! I recently moved to Worcester from Atlanta and was worried about finding a cobbler in town. Turns out Central Shoe Repair was exactly what the doctor ordered. They take care of your shoes and are extremely affordable. I highly recommend Central Shoe to anyone in the Worcester area! read more

These guys are the consummate pros. They have maintained, repaired, and saved our family's shoes for years -- some of which were easily on their leather deathbeds. The prices are always fair especially for the quality. One time, we knocked a heel off a shoe when traveling and took it into a local repair shop that the hotel said was amazing. The guy there looked at the shoe and said, "Whoever is doing this work knows their $#@!" Nice. read more

I have several pairs of custom-made shoes. Each city in which I've lived, I've gone out of my way to find a high-quality shoe repair place. Rob (owner of Central Shoe Service) is top notch--in fact, his work is the best I've found. He's honest and will let you know if a repair is not worth doing. I highly recommended this shop. read more

I did research and decided to bring a friends shoes to Central Shoe Service based on their 5 star ratings on Yelp. I was not disappointed. I brought in four pairs of dance shoes to be resoled. I was told right away that they did not need new soles just resurfaced. True to their word I picked up the shoes one week later and they looked as good as new. I would highly recommend Central Shoe for their friendliness, honesty, and fair pricing. read more

A win for Worcester! Brought in some boots for zipper repair, which the folks at Zipper Hospital near Clark said would cost $40-50 to fix somewhere else (and that they couldn't do it). Here I was in and out in 10 minutes, with a new zipper stopper ($2) and instructions on how to sew part of the zipper back on (I could've left it, but feel more empowered getting to do it myself- the true hallmark of great repairpeople is that they help you help yourself). Highly recommended. Parking on street can be kind of tight. read more

AMAZING service and price. I cannot express how thankful I am for Central Shoe Service. I will continue to go here and recommend to everyone! The best! read more

They kept my shoes for over a week and when I went to pick them up, they hadn't even touched them!! No apology offered whatsoever!! Instead the guy was very arrogant.. said 'you were supposed to call'.. like it's my fault that he did not do his job within the deadline that he proposed. I had already paid and was looking forward to wearing my shoes for the weekend, but instead I ended up with just a poor treatment. Needless to say, I did not appreciate his arrogant and entitled attitude. Never going back there again!! read more

I recently had a pair of shoes resoled by Central Shoe. I was very happy with the service I received. When I went in, they recommended doing a 3/4 sole, because some of the leather was still good and it would save me 5 bucks. They also recommended a Neolite sole over leather, saying that the Neolite would last about three times longer. I was impressed that they would recommend this, even though it meant that it would be much longer before they could expect me to come back in for my next resole. When I went to pick up my shoes, I was informed that they had had to do a full resole because the leather wasn't in as good of shape as they originally thought. They insisted that they wouldn't charge me the extra 5 dollars, even though I would have been more than happy to pay it. This kind of honesty and customer service is rare today. I will definitely be taking all my future shoe repairs to Central Shoe, and I've been telling anyone who'll listen what great work they do there. read more
