All I did was pick up some color swatches, decide, then let our contractor pick up the paint. These folks have a nice track record, are super helpful, pleasant and have gone out of their way to help us find the right item in their aisles or waiting for our paint to be mixed in. Front of store usually houses rotating seasonal items. They have a wide variety of kitchen/storage and other less hardware centric consumer items. Oscar and the painting section crew are great with custom colors and color matching. Being able to pick up a quart of a custom color has been very helpful for me over the years. Steve and the other hardware/store crew are always good at answering my random questions, leading me in the right direction. The checkout staff always changes, but employees are consistently nice.

The salesperson I talked to wouldn't even look at it, or even ask another associate to look at it, and told me that I should find a Toro store to have it fixed. When I mentioned that I bought it there and that I was told to bring any item I had a problem with back to the store, the associate just shrugged his shoulders as if to say "so what." Later that day, I spoke to the store manager, Paul, who said that I could bring the weed trimmer in the following week and he'd be happy to exchange it for a new one. Paul even told me that the associate I talked to did not follow store policy and that's not how handle those situations are supposed to be handled at the store. When I went back to the store on the pre-arranged day, Paul brought out the owner of the store, Chris, who told me that I do have to take it to a Toro store and that he wouldn't exchange it as I was promised by the store manager. Why would I buy a product from Berger if they are just going to wash their hands of it when it malfunctions? If I buy a car from a dealership, that dealership deals with the problem car and tries to help the customer with the vehicle. I have bought a lot of stuff from Berger because I wanted to buy local.
