This is probably our least favorite pier. The Pirate Bar at the end of the pier still afforded views and gin but not quite as nice. We like the cheap amusements and shove a penny. Times have changed and its not the 19th century so don' expect quiet - go to Southport for that. And yes, one more thing in Blackpool that needs cleaning and painting. read more

Not the nicest of of Blackpool's three piers. It's *littered* with cheap amusements (Ferris wheel, "casino", food stalls) - so it's more attractive for children. Unlike the North Pier, it doesn't invite you to just walk quietly. The Pirate Bar at the end of the pier is huge and okay, but still not as inviting as "The Sunset Lounge" on the North pier - though the beer selection is better. The Blackpool Tower & North Pier are within walking distance, so why not go there instead? read more

Tacky and depressing looking. Rides and amusements all run by dodgy types, and not just 'Carni folk' - Africans/Asians seem to have taken over many, which isn't exactly a 'traditional seaside' experience. Maybe your kids will be amused for 15 minutes. read more

The central pier in blackpool is a great place to spend a few hours. you have to go on the big ferris wheel to get an amazing view or the surroundings and out to sea. treat yourself and the kids to an ice cream or two or even a hot dog an hot onions. the dodgem cars are also great fun to play on but are quite expensive to go on especially if there is a few of you in a family. read more

I love Central Pier. Sure, it's tacky and full of pushy games masters and the ferris wheel looks for all the world as if its about to come unhooked and go rolling away, but it's a true seaside place, where childrens memories are made, and you'll always remember looking out at the immense blue from what seemed like miles up, even though it was only about 100 feet. There are waltzers and dodgems and all manner of sticky sugary foods, a couple of bars and even a theatre at the end. A great place for a wander, a mess on the slot machines and home. read more

Traditional seaside pier. Amusement arcade at the front. Take the time for a walk to the end of the pier. Nice carousel ride at the end. Sun lounge with deck chairs. read more

Loads of fun great for a rainy day or just a stroll on an evening fresh air and fun , slots deckchairs whatever you want to do , spend or sok up the sun you cn`t bet this good old Family attraction part of Blackpools history and charm . read more

I think it is okay in this Pier. We've been in it more than twice. It is not very big but it has the favourite bumper cars, tea cup and saucer rides and many more interesting stalls. The only thing I dislike is the height of the Pier from down below and the blustery wind on a windy day. Otherwise it is a good place to visit and is open even during Christmas! read more
