Great slides lots of fun. Tons of variety of slides and an amazing lazy river me and my family had a lots of fun would definitely recommend.

I came here with my boyfriend and we had a great time on all the slides and wave pool and spa. It's very crowded even from opening time on weekends with lots of kids and families, and the entrance fees are expensive if you are not a Blackpool resident where they give a discount. The food onsite is mostly junk food, they didn't have any salads on the day we went due to no delivery of ingredients, and messed up a refund with the wristbands which we needed to speak to the manager about to sort out. He was nice and very helpful. Overall it's a fantastic waterpark with amazing slides, clean and well maintained. Downsides are that the food selection is poor lacking healthy options and the staff in the water edge cafe gave poor service. read more

Was never taken here as a kid, even though as a kid I was taken to Blackpool numerous times. So 32 years in the making I decided to take my 5yr old & 6month old. Overall using a family pass helped the wallet. What should have been £40odd ended up £32. I even stuck £20 on a wristband to buy food. This is a great idea. You don't need to keep going back to your locker for cash. You can swim, slide, go order food pay with the wristband, sit pool side and eat then go back swimming and sliding. School holidays are busy ! Queuing for rides can be a 20/30min affair for rides that last 60 seconds at most. Also watch out for the youths that like to take advantage of friends/family being in the queue and barge through. The staff as brilliant as they are didn't seem to stop this thing going on. "Personally I don't care if your friends are further in the queue.....Get to the back" My only gripe is if your kids are under 5yrs there are not many rides for them. You can only go on the wave machine or Rapids so many times. This place is better suited for ages of 6yrs+, where there won't be as many restrictions for them. Some of the best rides also incur a surcharge of £6.50 per person as they are in the "Hyperzone" plus they again are age limited (some are for 8yrs+) Staff are great and helpful. They are not overly strict and will come over and have a quiet word instead over whistling and pointing at you if you over step the rules. It is expensive but if you make a day of it it's great fun and can't wait for my next visit. read more

When my nephew asked if I could take him here I was initially very dubious and thought "expensive" and "full of screaming kids". Well, after our visit I can confirm they are both true, but it was a terrific day out and I won serious 'cool uncle' points to add to my tally chart. Currently the largest indoor waterpark in the UK, it's slap bang on the promenade south of Blackpool Tower but opposite the Pleasure Beach. There's a pay-and-display car park next to it and it was £7.50 for a stay of longer than three hours. We arrived really early (the park's doors don't open until 10am but you can queue by the tills from about quarter to). It's 10% cheaper if you buy tickets online at least a week in advance and you get wristbands to wear throughout your visit. One grumble I had was that you have to pay £6.25 extra per person for the 'Hyperzone' (basically the four main slides in the park) which wouldn't leave you with much to go on if you didn't pay for it. They have spacious and clean changing facilities and free lockers (you pay a £2 refundable deposit for the locker key). I'd advise getting here for when it opens, as after about an hour the queues for the main slides really started to grow and the pools were getting full of swimmers. We didn't have to wait too long all in all, but being stood around in a humid 29 degree heat doesn't half hit you for six! Tip: Don't bother buying the wristbands for food at their cafes either - time your visit so your kids get hungry around lunchtime and then take them for a much cheaper Maccy D's a short walk up the prom. read more

FANTASTIC! a great day out, yep a whole day is needed to visit this place. there are water slides, wave pool etc for the older ones & just as much for the younger ones! two of my children couldn't swin when we visited but we still all had a great time! it's lovley & warm & you can sit around on the side in your costume &watch . there is also a cafe , burger bar etc & you dont even have to get changed into your clothes to eat there! there are small locker next to the cafe etc for your purse & its so warm you dont need your towel to dry off. at first glance at the website it seems really expensive to go swimming but it is more, much more than just swimming! there were tiny babies & grandparents , this is a day out for all, forget the freezing sea! read more

My daughter's new bag got ripped in there locker from two protruding pieces of metal . they had us sit around to wait on the manager who just fobbed us off with " you put it in the locker " eh duh , expecting it to be un damaged and safe ... Absolutely fuming . read more

Expensive - you need to spend the whole day there to get value for money. There are 2 new-ish attractions, which you have to pay extra for - the world's longest indoor water slide and a half-pipe - both very good though. The half-pipe is quite scary, when you are waiting your turn at the top. You can take your own food and drink in there, which helps your pocket. If you live in blackpool or the FY area you can get a discount card, which gives you 50% off and other special offers read more

The best thing to do with a family in blackpool. It is really fun and the water is very warm. Think 32-35 C.

Very expensive, but worth it if you stay for the full day. The flumes are great fun, as are the different pools, the wave is great.

The Sandcastle waterpark is brilliant fun. Tropically hot all the time, good for when BLackpools Weather attacks. The longest slide in the world is here, the hyperzone, there are wave pools, a white water rapids section, lots of smaller slides for smaller or nervous people, a monsoon treehouse which gets a thousand gallons of water tipped onto it and movement activated water guns. There are eating places inside, but please remember not to swim too soon after eating! The price is quite expensive, but you can easily spend four or five hours in here. read more

Totally worth the money if you spend the majority of the day here. There is something for everyone and it feels very safe as there are lifeguards stationed in several places. Lots of slides and the wave pool is a lot of fun. It's very clean and hygenic and the changing rooms are of a decent size. If you get the chance to go, just make sure you allocate several hours to get the most out of it. read more

its fun until the money part comes in. what i mean is that its a complete and utter rip off. for what its worth, you get nothing. the lines take forever and when you finally get to the slides the staff aren't talkative, instead they act like they don't want to be there (neither do i). read more

I have never been to the Sandcastle Water Park, but recall my sister swimming at the old Derby Baths every Summer in a championship event held every 12 months which coincided with our annual holiday in Blackpool. The baths were salt water baths. One of many good memories. read more

I took my wife and 3 children here for the day for a bit of bank holiday fun and set off early to get parking space and knowing how packed these places could get, doors open at 9am. Excellent change facilities, and your not short or fun things to do once you get in there, you have the 4 main waterslides that you can go on for an extra fee of £6:25p (hyperzone) ideal for the 8+ y/o's (my 2 older kids loved it until the ques got bigger, then the fun went out the window), there are several other slides to go on if you opt out of the hyperzone wristband so theres still fun to be had without paying the extra but once 11 oclock came around there wasn't much to go on without queing. I paid an admission fee for 2 adults 2 kids (8+) and a toddler, 3 hyperzone wristbands(£6.25 each) with £40 on a wristband for food (the food joints around the pool are expensive, so taking your own would be a good moneysaving tip) in total this came to £116.75p and i think we ended up with around £10 of that back at the end off the wristband. parking on south beach (again get there early to get a space) £7.50. Come lunch time the place was heaving, (bare in mind this is a saturday on a bank holiday weekend) to the point where i thought it was a health n safety nightmare. There were ques for just about everything and both pools were chocka-block, the rapids and the pool ajoined to them looked like a panic scene from jaws. all in all a nice family morning out as we left around 2pm due to its overcrowding, azteck falls was the favourite slide of the day voted by me and my 2 older sons, Montazooma looked a bit brutal so i stayed away as i'd hurt my back the previous week, my 8y/o son was the only one of us who went on it and he came off it with a bump to the head :( . there were little toddler slides dotted around the place that were also fun for our 3 y/o. overall a nice day/morning was had but we wouldn't rush to go again unless i had a generous discount or it was gauranteed to be less busy as the cost and the congestion well outweighed the fun. read more

this is the best swimming baths in blackpool with lots of water shoots and lots of activetys going on in the pool,but as a big family it is very expencive but it is well worth the money read more
