A great family day out. There are enough different types of rides to satisfy any member of your family. There simple kids rides, ghost trains, immediate roller-coasters and then a few big coasters! The best thing about it, is that everything is within easy walking distance. So unlike places like Alton Towers, you can easily walk one end of the park to the other in little over 15 mins. The pay-per-ride OR wristbands makes it a perfect place to visit for an hour or two or for the whole day. In addition to the park itself, the surrounding area is jammed with other entertainments and food outlets. Its also a short walk to all the famous Blackpool piers and only 5-10min drive up into the main part of town.

Had an amazing day here, would defo love to come back, think that everyone can enjoy themselves coming here. Rides are a lot fun and the queues are never too bad, and there really is plenty more to enjoy here, despite the food being a bit pricey and not the nicest, and some staff members weren't the friendliest. Would definitely recommend coming with friends and family just to have even more of a great time, definitely one of Blackpool's greatest areas to visit and hopefully will be coming back!

The Pleasure Beach is - and this is not an opinion, it is cold, objective fact - the best place in England. Maybe in the whole world, the votes aren't all in. The worst time to visit the Pleasure Beach is a weekend in peak season. At those times, you can be waiting two hours to get on a ride. The rides are good, but waiting two hours is asking a bit much. Wristbands are £30 if bought on the day (though can be as cheap as half-price is booked online or through a newspaper promotion etc) and this gets you unlimited riding. There are rides for the whole family. Well, maybe not the grandparents, depending on how dodgy their hearts are. But there are rides for children and adults. My favourite is Valhalla, an indoor water ride with some great dips and a viking theme. You will get soaked on it. The most famous ride is the Pepsi Max Big One, there's also a new huge ride called Infusion. Not been on that yet. Blackpool in general is a great day or weekend out, and the Pleasure Beach is the best part. It's tacky, it's loud, it's sticky, but it's the best time of your life. It's much more pleasant if it's not rammed with people, though, remember that when planning. And remember that certain rides won't run in certain weather conditions. Valhalla, despite being an indoor ride, does not run well in ANY weather conditions. I don't know if this is due to faulty computers running it, staff incompetence, or construction, but rarely will all the effects be working and it will often break down - which can be a nightmare to those waiting in the queue who have been there an hour. Don't play the con games dotted around the park, either.

Free entry amusement park with a fantastic new chic feel. Not only are the bigger rides fantastic - try Valhalla, Big One, Bling and of course newest ride Infusion - but you can find some beautiful little spots to sit with a drink and a snack without having to eat junk food. I particularly recommend the champagne and oyster bar, and the coffe shop close to the beautiful carousel.

One of my favourite uk theme parks. Has amazing rides, especially icon which is super smooth. A lot of the rides are old and could do with a spruce up but it's part of its charm. Wallace and gromit is incredible and reminds me of a Disney-esque dark ride Nickelodeon land is great for kids too. read more

When ever I visit this theme park I never go on the major rides because they are always at the back of the park. Don't go in the first rides you see near the entrance. Overall I've mad nice memories overall I'm giving Blackpool pleasure beach 5 stars. read more

A day at this amusement park is not bad at all. This is long overdue for me. Cheaper than Alton Towers, but apparently you have to pay just to enter these days. Just walk in with the right expectations, no it will not be like Disneyland. And the beach will not be like Miami beach or the French Riviera. The wooden roller coasters are classic and a bit of a crazy mission. read more

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is literally a national treasure, hosting a set of wooden roller coasters, which coaster addicts from all over the world flock to ride. Some of these woodies are also listed structures. I've been a big fan of BPB for many years and have seen the park evolve. It has also held the title of most visited tourist attraction in the UK for a long time. Unfortunately, this year, they are taking a dangerous gamble, which could seriously backfire. BPB has been a draw for the crowds right at the end of the famous promenade - the flashing lights of the 235 feet tall Pepsi Max Big One, the tallest coaster in Europe acting as a beacon. Many people used to stroll through the park admiring the coasters, the carnival atmosphere and the screams of riders. This year, for the first time, they have introduced an admission charge to get into the park when it used to be free. You still have to pay for the rides after entry - either with a daily wristband or per ride. Whether or not it's been a good financial move remains to be seen. The park is compact and easily navigable. There is some parking next to the park but also a public carpark within 10 minutes walk. The Pepsi Max Big One is the tallest draw with an awesome first drop - go in the right hand seat for the best view of the drop. I love 'woodies' and BPB may have the finest collection of these in the world - the duelling Grand National with its interesting moebius strip layout (you arrive back in the station on the opposite side to the one you left from), the Big Dipper with bags of airtime and on which a continuous coaster riding world record was set and the deceptively docile but absolutely Mouse to name a few. I also love Valhalla, an indoor water ride/experience which will soak you (you have been warned!). The latest coaster, Infusion, was transferred here from a closed park in Southport a few years ago and is an inverted coaster set entirely over water. There are a nice set of rides for children too. Some rides such as the go karts will attract an additional payment. Eating options range from fast food to quite classy dining options. There are also the usual fairground games and arcades. One bonus about BPB over other UK theme parks are the shows - usually the wristbands will include some complimentary or reduced price vouchers. These are well worth the money and would rival shows that you pay good money for. Over the years, I've watched magic, skiing shows and Cirque du Soleil style circus shows, all for free and I would gladly have paid money. The dancing and choreography especially is first class. There is also an ice skating rink for public use. I wish BPB all the best and hope that the entrance charge doesn't cause any major problems. read more

Absolutely appalling experience with BPB. I have been visiting the this theme park for 25 years and this is the first time I have felt unwelcome. I visited in the beginning of August with my family. Aside from a few grumbles that some of the ride attendants were lazy and idle, rude and almost injured me when rushing me off a ride after a breakdown we were absolutely horrified when a female member of staff body shamed a member of our party and called them fat. When we complained about this issue we waited near on two weeks for a response and were fobbed off with excuses. Upon ringing them to discuss the issues further, I was then hung up on 5 times by members of staff, one of whom, Danny, thought a paying guest being called abusive names by staff was so funny he had to laugh down the phone at me. Another lady, Wendy, told me I was not permitted to speak about my complaint on the phone and had to write in. When I asked what guests who did not have the means to write in were supposed to do I was informed I should get my Dr, social worker or benefits officer to help me write a complaint... To a theme park?? Again being discriminated against by BPB making the presumption that I am on benefits and have a social worker. Absolutely shocking experience and with two members of our group who are registered as disabled we will be taking further legal action. If you don't fancy being discriminated against then try alton towers or Thorpe Park. read more
Great theme park, with a good mix of traditional wooden rollercoasters and more modern rides. I particularly recommend having a go on the Pepsi Max Big One - once the highest rollercoaster in Europe, it's a terrifying climb up for someone with a fear of heights, but the ride itself is totally amazing and beautifully constructed. There are also lots of entertaining amusement stalls etc. (though as ever, the grab machines in the arcade are rigged like nobody's business), and a selection of places to get some food, though not many of them with inside seating were open when we went, which is a pain given it was a cold October day! That said, definitely worth visiting if you're a coaster nut. Oh, and if you're happiest when being flipped upside down - there's a Red Arrows ride where you can barrel roll your own plane to try and end up on the leaderboard, and it's highly addictive! read more
Wow!! This place rocks!! (Realize, I am an amusement park snob from the U.S., yet I had a blast at this place.) Luckily, we visited in the beginning of July, before the UK schools were out. We had no lines to wait in, the weather was OK (no US heat...a little rain..but hey, it's the the UK!) The Iron Bru Revolution was terrific, especially the series of open shaking steps to climb to the top and the knotted seatbelts in some of the cars. (My 11 year old daughter pointed out that this would not be allowed in the lawsuit-central states...) But the best was the Pepsi Max. This is a great coaster with a truly long ride time. I could ride this over and over, if the rest of my wimpy family members would join me!!! We played the Ponies in the carnival area with two SUPERB carnival barkers, one of which donned a rubber horse head mask for photos. Also fun in a creepy way was the Ghost Train...my 11 year old was freaked out with the jerky train ride and black lighting. I LOVED IT!! I felt like I was at a carnival back in the 70's. If you don't expect a modern amusement park, and go outside of tourist season, you will be happily surprised. What a gem! read more
Good time for amusements, But going over board with their attitude to food. Admission staff have begun checking visitors' bags for sandwiches and recommending you eat at restaurants on site. If you are going as a family or group beware you are expected to buy expensive food inside and will be costly. Will never go there again and definitely would never take family or group of people that need to eat while in there read more
Forget long ques , Blackpool has plenty of good rides and it's half of the cost of the likes of Alton Towers , a whole lot more for kids too . Food and drink fairly cheap . Plus it's alongside a whole lot of other attractions . A lot easier to get to as well . read more

It's a great day out! There's nothing like thrilling rides and the excitement that brings. I was surprised at how aggressive the Wild Mouse is. It looks small and not very scary. Quite deceiving; it's scary round every corner as I feel like I'll be thrown from the little mouse that we ride. If you're like me and sitting next to a handsome fellah, woo hoo! Even more sparks fly round every corner. Valhalla needs a poncho to keep dry. Here's a wet ride tip: Keep your feet elevated at least three inches above the lowest floor line. You can do this on racks and rails along the side of the car in most water rides. The sploosh! will get you. An even better tipis to wear shoes you don't mind getting wet. The Alice in Wonderland ride was made in the 1960's and it shows. Blacklight and flourescent paint predominate the visuals. I can't help but wonder if the folks who made it back in the 60's were party animals in their time. This is a tame ride but well worth going on even for extreme coaster enthusiasts just to see the florescent Wonderland. The best day to choose is one that's overcast and cold, perhaps even a touch of drizzle. That way lots of people opt for an indoor outing instead making the queues for each ride much shorter. I rode the Big One ten times, Grand National five times, Infusion five or seven times, the Big Dipper and Wild Mouse a couple of times each, and all the other roller coasters at least once. Thank you, overcast weekend! read more

How things change is not a statement that applies to the pleasure beach. I remeber going there when I was a kid and it is like time has stood still. Yes there are a few new rides but apart from that it is still a filthy over priced day out. I took my children after being pestered for a very long time and even they were disapointed. We must have spent all but an hour of the day queueing in the miserable weather to be greeted by a miserable member of staff to go on a ride with more creeks than my nan(who is 92). They even charge you to go in when your not going on rides. There are no local discounts on offer like a lot of other attractions in Blackpool so be prepared for a bank breaking outing. read more

This might be the best amusement park in the world! We were disappointed that the park had torn down the wooden wild mouse, one of the last of it's kind. But we rode the last remaining steeplechase coaster, as well as 7 other great rollercoasters, in just a few short hours at the park. We even went on several dark rides. This park is definitely worth going out of your way for! read more

The pleasure beach is great fun, and each time we go we end up spending the whole day there going on all the rides over and over! I love rollercoasters and will go on anything so this place is ideal for me. There are plenty of rides for kids too and the height restrictions are not that severe so good for older kids too if they are brave enough for the big rides! There is a good monorail ride which takes you round the whole park and you get to see everything from above. Loads of the bigger rides take a photo of you while you're on which you can buy afterward, some of the photos are quite amusing! You can buy an all day wristband for around £20 and this gives you admission to shows as well so its really reasonable! All in all I think the pleasure beach is a great day out! read more

Any one who hasnt been to blackpool are missing quiet alot, first take a stroll along the sandy beach, youll see little children making sand castles or playing in water. The roller coaster is massive the biggest i have seen, i`m scared to ride it, inside the entertainment park their loads of resturants, sea food lovers and vegetarian. being a succer for food i like to try different kind of foods. In summer its normaly jammed packed in the morning and in the afternoon people who like sunset linger on to the beach with their loved ones. My favourite bit is when the sea is quiet rough and there is a wind blowing.like they write in romantic books, has a strand of hair fell on her cheek kissing it gently. well now i know where the romantic bits come from. then just few yards away is southport similar to blackpool. At end of the day i can bet your tired and yet there is still to see more. read more

A fantastic fun filled day out for everyone. Don't let the expensive ticket prices put you off as there is plenty to do to get your moneys worth in the park. There a number of rides predominately water based as its right on the beach at Blackpool. Again it fulfills the need of different theme park goers so it caters for everybody who comes. The rides vary in quality as some have been there for donkies years but nevertheless provide a barrel of laughs. There is a kids area not as large as what you'd find at its rivals Alton Towers etc but does cater for younger families who are unable to experience the larger rides. The infamous big dipper is a must do in the park as not only does it provide you with a stomach twisting ride but you get to see the lovely view (very briefly) when you reach the top! Once you have visited the park you must have a walk along the seafront. Not only does it calm the kids down from an action packed day it gives you chance to chill out. Be warned of the gypsies who try and sell you stuff on the seafront (often believe they have cursed you if you don't buy anything but pay no attention as they look loaded with dosh anyways!) read more

Blackpool Pleasure Beach isn't quite as impressive as it once wasit seems that while places like Alton Towers have moved with the times and keep getting more and more impressive big white-knuckle rides, Blackpool still has the ones it had 10 years ago. Nevertheless its still a fun day out, with some good rides and all the usual go-karts and candyfloss stalls! The go-karts incidentally are great fun, and take you back to being a child again - although you do have to pay extra for them, about £4 or £5. I think we paid £50 for two adult all-day-ride wristbands, which I thought was fairly expensive, but this did include entry to the Hot Ice ice-skating stage show in the evening which was worth the entry fee alone! Very atmospheric, with talented ice-skaters putting on a brilliant entertaining ice-dancing show. The costumes are fantastic, and the dancers incredibly professional. It's well worth a visit! The ice arena is also open for ice-skating lessons to the general public during the daytime, so even if you don't fancy going on any rides there's still a lot of fun to be had at the Pleasure Beach! read more

Great day out for the whole family. Online booking makes it easy to collect your tickets without queuing. Special offers during the off season. Plenty of rides for adults and children, and plenty of places to just stop and rest. Other entertainment apart from rides includes darts games, hook a duck style games. Some of the rides look very old and rickety, but they are still very popular. Of course it is the home of the Big One! A couple of the cafes could do with updating, and more variety of food would be a big improvement. But when the special offers are on its a great, inexpensive day out for everyone. read more

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a large Theme park, which is accessible from the front (Golden Mile). It hosts a great range of rides including some fantastic rollercoasters as well as rides suited to younger ones and families. It's always been quite notorious for being expensive as you used to have to buy books of ride tickets, which could prove costly. It has however changed in recent years with the introduction of arm bands. You can pay a one off fee for an armband which gives you unlimited rides, which is a huge saving for those who like to cram in as many rides as possible. Queues can be long especially for the rollercoasters, but that's never stopped people before. The park is also open till quite late which means that people can enjoy a full day of fun and rides. There are plans from 2009 to charge people to enter the park even if they don't intend to go on any rides, which is a shame as even without going on the rides it's an interesting place to walk around in. Well worth a visit if you enjoy rides. There are several eating places inside and various amusement arcades. read more

What a amazing place, one of the things i love about this is unlike other theme parks you dont pay a entry fee, you only pay for the rides which can be done individually or with a all you can ride wristband. There is some amazing rides here my fav been the new one infusion which is a suspended rollercoaster over water. The pepsi max still been a big fav, if you love rollercoasters you can't come to blackpool and not ride THE BIG ONE. There is many rides to suit all ages and tastes here as well as many places to eat and drink. Also if you are just here for the day you can leave the park as and when you wish just to have a look around blackpool and go back later in the day. read more

THE BIG ONE! need i say more although there is plenty more to add! the rides are fantastic, for adults & kids there is so much to enjoy! the gift shops are expensive & so is the food but you can always head out of the park to eat & come back even if you buy a wrist band as it is valid all day. where sensible shoes for chasing the kids from one ride to the next & dont take anything you cant take onto a ride & you will be fine, there are limited lockers & you will be really luck to find an empty one. leave the valhalla to last if its not a really sunny day as you get totaly soaked but dont leave it out it's fab! before you visit check the pleasure beach website as they usually have an offer for discounted wrist bands if you buy online. or in the months coming to the summer keep an eye out iin your local paper for vouchers for dicounted or bogoff wrist bands. Also check ebay! we got vouchers off there that someone had collected from their paper & we all got in for 1/2 price, quite a saving as there are 5 of us! don't be embarrassed of using vouchers either! we weren't , half the price but all the fun!! read more

The themepark is generally kept very clean & tidy with a great variety of rides and plenty of places for food/drink. I would strongly recommend 'Valhalla' which is a great water ride, one minute your blissfully travelling through a hot sauna then dropping backwards into the freezing water, fantastic ride though make sure you take a coat. Other great rides include 'Infusion' which is very fast & fun though over a bit quick. Iron Bru is extremely fun though can make you feel a little sick. Personally i found 'Pepsi Max' an awful ride. It was a long wait for a ride which is extremely rough and makes you feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. Getting into the park can also be fairly expensive but it was a very enjoyable time with a mix of rides for all ages. read more

I have ben there a numerous of times, and they do also offers you a discounted rates for disabled people, but no bracelet or tags, but you had to keep your ticket with you to show to the fairground workers, and they will let you entry in the rides. I loved the big dipper, and the height are amazing, and you should give it a go, as the views from the top in the sunny day are glorious! Food, I dont really buy food there, as I just goes on all the rides, and when I am finished with the ride, and I eat somewhere else. As their prices are bit pricey! read more

The last time we visited here was about two or three years ago when the family and i wanted a fun day out. we had a great time and the weather was really nice too and that was in march! the price of a day ticket to get on all the rides is not bad at all but the queues can be quite long on the most popular rides like the big rollercoaster. we found the place a little untidy as it could have done with a few litter pickers about but apart from that it was great and well worth the price. read more

Whilst some of the Pleasure Beach is dated, I still enjoy visiting as much now as when I was in my teens. The Grand National is still one of the best roller coasters in the world. With a group of friends split between the two trains, the 'race' is great fun. Although many records have been broken since, some of the rides here were record breakers in their time. Look beyond the rides & the shows are great entertainment. read more

Good ideas for ride design, especially Valhalla & Space Invader. The park has a generally good layout. It has just the right mix of Wooden and traditional rides such as the Grand National, Big Dipper, and Ghost Train, as it does high speed metal & modern rides like Pepsi Max, in fusion, and Valhalla. The park is generally very clean and tidy, apart from a few scraps of litter here & there. eg queuing areas, and occasionally in rides amongst scenery. You can often get discounted wristbands if you search the internet. read more

Cant believe this year they have stopped free enterance!!! Now to enter the park you have to pay whether you ride or not. The ride wristband has been lowered to £20 but even if you just want to go in and not ride you have to fork out £10 each which includes a free show ticket!! BPB used to be fab because you could just walk in and absorb the atmosphere, its a very sad day and only will go down hill form here, they tried to get more and more money every way they can, people just will stop going now and this will have a serious effect on the tourism trade for blackpool. read more

The Pleasure Beach is fantastic and has never changed! I used to go when I was a small girl every year and now I take my four boys to it and they love it even more. We saved up our Tesco Clubcard vouchers to get 9 wrist bands for the day and it was a lovely sunny day in August. We caught the train and walked along the coast then got to the Pleasure Beach, we could see the Pepsi Max from miles away! There are loads of great rise including Fusion, Pepsi Max, Bling and the classic roller coaster. I like the tamer rides and even the Alice in Wonderland or the Steeplechase are great. We had a meal in the pizza restaurant and spent a full day there, we all enjoyed it and caught the train home again. read more

A good park with a huge selection of over forty rides and attractions, albeit ones that are cramped together quite closely. Home to twelve rollercoasters ranging from newer, more modern rides and steel rollercoasters such as the Pepsi Max Big One and Infusion, to traditional rides like the Flying Machines, Derby Racer, and wooden coasters, Grand National and the Big Dipper. There are rakes of stalls, food outlets and annoying blokes trying to con you into handing over two quid and having a go at winning gigantic teddies and toys, which even if you do win, you'll have to cart round all day. Unlimited ride wristbands are very reasonable at anything between £15 and £30 per person, depending on the time of year and promotional season per person, which can work out at less than £1 per ride over the course of a day. Junior wristbands for children are just £20 each and allow access to all rides on the park, subject to height restrictions. It's no longer free admission so those not wanting to ride still have to pay £5 for a pass which gets them in the park and allows access to the Pleasure Beach Express and that crap Chinese Puzzle Maze that nobody ever goes in. Pleasure Beach isn't a place you can enjoy a nice relaxing at with your family. If you've got kids, it's advisable to take your own drinks because they're ludicrously expensive on the Pleasure Beach. Some might also want to take their own food too which will certainly save on dosh, but bear in mind you'll be eating your butties whilst a rollercoaster packed with screaming people hurtles over your head. The noise, people and activity is incessant throughout although it doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is a place with loads to do and fun to be had. read more

Probably the best theme park in the UK, Not only is it an excellent park but is is situated on Blackpool seafront which boasts many other attractions such as pubs, piers and Blackpool tower. This park has the old style "woodie" rollercoasters to the modern stuff and everything inbetween. "The Big One", "Valhalla", and "Infusion" are all excellent rides for big kids seeking a thrill, For me it has to be "The Grand National" as it is a "Woodie" and features two rollercoasters racing each other, One of the most exillerating rides I have ever been on For the smaller ones and those of a nervous disposition there is Nickelodeon Land which is all part of same park and inclusive of the standard wristbands. I advise wristbands as much cheaper than buying individual ride tickets and if you are a serious rider buy a speedy pass which cuts out having to queue. Here is a speedypass demo; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zzJEW5bpN8&list=UUQjv1ej8IdyCIrbD8xacncQ&index=2&feature=plcp read more

Although I have not been to Blackpool since my mid-to-late teens there are so many happy memories of regular holidays there every Summer. The memories which are clearest are of: The Pleasure Beach (especially The Big Dipper); Madame Tussauds Waxworks (even if the Chamber of Horrors did give me nightmares); Going on the beach to play football, cricket and even swim in the sea; Going up Blackpool Tower; Watching shows on the Promenade, and: before we went home, driving through the illuminations as a final treat. read more

Upon arriving at Blackpool - The Capital of Hell - I was happy to discover that the park was absolutely amazing. We booked our tickets online so it only cost us £19.99 each. Car parking was very reasonable at £10 also. The rides were brilliant, but I would warn people not to ride the Big Dipper. If you had asked me if I ever wanted my colon to successfully replace my stomach, I'd have said "Most definitely not dear Sir!", unfortunately the Big Dipper plunged me to the bottom of my seat so hard, I saw God. I would highly recommend Valhalla if you left that morning without showering, bring soap, it's a right giggle! The sign says you 'May' get soaking wet, I think they spelt 'Will' wrong, I'll have to remind them in the next publication of my weekly newsletter 'In Hindsight'. The raincoats that you can purchase on Valhalla were about as much use as standing in the rain with no umbrella, fruitless and soggy. The more child like rides were fantastic for adults, even without hallucinogenic drugs. Wallace & Gromit took me back to my childhood and I was all the more thankful for it, although I didn't buy anything in the gift shop as I already have a 20 year old VHS of the Wrong Trousers, I win, consumerism. All in all I would highly recommend that you bring some form of padding, perhaps your mother's old cushion set, something sturdy. You could bring a raincoat for Valhalla, but I might suggest boycotting the ride if your testicles suffer from a nervous disposition. Other than that, perfect day. read more

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a really good park, but it's certainly not without it's flaws, let me explain. First of all, whenever I go to PB, I always come home needing a new neck and spine. I know some of these rides are over 80 years old, but they're very tacky, bumpy and have very little leg room, I don't even need to mention the cramp I got off The Big One. The staff at PB are....ok at best. There are some really kind and helpful staff members but there are ones that seem very dismal and a bit mean spirited at times, such as laughing at me when I asked if there was a 4D cinema...when I was 11 years old. some of them look like they couldn't care less about their jobs and when I ask them something, they usually reply with "dunno". Now for the positives, the park is set out and themed BEAUTIFULLY. The rides are all large and it really is fun to spot them in the park, the views are also magnificent from the top of the roller coasters! Nickelodeon Land is a really good part of the park, it seems very fresh and modern and the theming is top notch, the rides are also really fun as well. Also, there's VALHALLA, which is the best ride I've ever been on and certainly the best ride in the park! The theming is EXTRAORDINARY and the ride is also incredibly intense with very high drops and fire explosions, not to mention you get drenched! This ride makes up for all the flaws of PB and it would be the biggest mistake of your life if you went there and missed it. So, do I recommend Blackpool Pleasure Beach? Yes, but you must listen to my warnings. It is a great theme park, don't get me wrong, and I'd definitely come again. But compared to absolutely outstanding UK theme parks like Alton Towers, Chessington World Of Adventures and Thorpe Park, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is pretty below average. It's definitely worth it to come and ride Valhalla, but for everything else, it's great, but not jaw-dropping. read more

First time in Blackpool and honestly I would never Go back . pleasure beach was just an annoying over crowded nightmare. They let far too many people in at the one time you're lucky to get on 3 things in the space of 3 HOURS . The streets are full of homeless , cigarette ends and horse crap. One of the family bars we went to the "children's entertainment" Was the most annoying ever! The guy went round with the Mic and just let about 30 kids make a very long "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" down the Mic ? Lol that was his entertainment? It was just brain damage for a good 15 mins till I had to just leave my drink and get out of that place . Then I get back to my BnB to find the owner laying crashed out with his empty drinks around him .. No bar for the customers that night then since he seemed to have been drowing his sorrows . I don't blame the guy I'd probably be doing the same if I lived there. Personally didn't like Blackpool and wouldn't go back The place is just a mess . S_*t hole with Nice lights at night . read more

Three simple words make this place visiting. The. Big. One. Bonkers high rollercoaster (I think it was the highest in Europe, possibly even the world at one point?). If you don't regularly do 'thrill' rides, like me, then be prepared to have the bejesus scared out of you. Very very high, very very fast and very vary frightening! That said, when you reach the end unscathed there is a Teletubbie in all of us that will shout, 'again, again!'. The rest of the park is not without its other attractions. One of the best was the Ghost attraction (I won't spoil it for you!). Lots of places to get food and drink and actually pretty good for a UK amusement park. read more

Blackpool Pleasure Beach can be made affordable if you use Tesco Clubcard points to order wristbands as they are very expensive normally. The scale and variety of the rides is immense and can be quite over whelming for younger children. The Big One can be seen from most points in Blackpool and not one for the faint hearted. A really interesting ride is the Avalanche which simulates a bobsleigh run and is unique in England. It only reaches about 50 mph but feels like 3 times that speed with the bonus of not turning upside down ! Best for big kids and young adults. read more

I was really disappointed with the place. I was there with a small group of friends and whilst I didn't want to go on the rides, a few others did. I thought the place looked tired and dated. Candy floss in a tub? What's that all about - and at an extortionate price! We were there mid September and the biggest queue was for the Big One. Best thrill of the day was seeing the carriages getting stuck and a technician having to walk up the rail/track to reach the people in it. Not a place I would ever choose to go back to in a hurry. read more

GREAT DAY OUT. CHOOSE ONE OF THE WRIST BAND OFFERS OR SOMETHING SIMILAR FOR THE BEST VALUE. THIS WAY YOU CAN GO ON EVERY RIDE. Queues are a bit long in high season which can be a pain when you have young children with you. The park is gettingon a bit now and could do with a lick of paint and a little updating. Like everywhere else they are out to make money so the time on rides as seemed to get shorter. No sooner have you queued then your off again sayin was that it read more

Fantastic place to visit. You can spend hours of fun with all the family. There are rides for the little ones, up to the 'big one' for the big kids. It depends on the height of the child, but it's easy to work out, there are measures at every ride. You don't pay with money, you have to pay with pre-purchased vouchers, makes it easier than finding money evry ride. Might not be everyones cup of tea, but if you like rides, you'll love it. read more

Its just a pitty the pleasure beach blackpool dont look after good staff that have put sweat and blood into it for years, mr G Thompson and his mother Doris put staff first god bless them both, all staff was behind them 100% thats when it was busy. And a member of staff was a member of a team that pulled together and made the park what it is today. read more

This used to be a great place to visit when you paid for individual rides and could get into the park for free, but now they have started charging for entry, meaning that grandparents or others accompanying children have to pay £20 even if they don't intend to ride and just want to watch read more
Oh my god, what a SH*THOLE. I'm sorry for my language and to Yee Gan, but I had this image in my head of a magical Disney-style place that I remember from my youth. Instead, Blackpool has become a ghostly, dirty shadow of it's former self. LAME. Who comes here for a holiday? Really? read more
