Listening to Summer Concert cover bands
Dee B.

What a fun place! Wish we knew about the summer concerts earlier. Place is huge and so good to see that the community comes together to enjoy the outdoors! The cover bands were very good!

Love the trees and open space here

I've traveled the US. I've walked on the white sands of Florida, hiked through lush forests and mountain tops, and even stood at the edge of the Grand Canyon, gazing into the abyss of nature's power. But none of these experiences prepared me for what I found in Central Park, Santa Clarita. From the moment I drove in, it felt like I'd stepped into a parallel universe where stress, traffic, and responsibilities ceased to exist. This isn't just a park. This is a sanctuary, an oasis, a slice of utopia nestled in the heart of Santa Clarita. There are fields for sports, clean restrooms, a tall staircase to hike up, and an outdoor stage for those Concerts in the Park!! Its vibrant green landscape stretches as far as the eye can see, with towering trees whispering the secrets of the ages. The sound of children laughing blends harmoniously with the gentle rustling of leaves, creating a symphony of joy and peace. It's the kind of place where you feel like you can breathe deeply again, like the air itself has been purified for your arrival. What sets Central Park apart is the community and the vibe of the people. The families here and even the solo artists are the epitome of happiness, the kind of people who walk their dogs with a smile and take the time to wave as they pass by. It's a vibe you simply can't replicate. It's like everybody gathered here to visit heaven on earth--a place of peace, Green nature, and pure sunshine!

Five paws for Central Park! I strutted through the huge grassy fields and cruised past the basketball courts like a fluffy little mayor doing my morning rounds. Even the 172-step exercise staircase was packed with Santa Clarita humans huffing and puffing their way toward health and wellness- very inspiring. The only bummer? The dog park gates were locked tight. My sanctuary was sealed shut. But a champion like me doesn't quit: I took the off-trail route, found a peaceful overlook above the fenced-out, confused pups below, and completed my solemn, soil-returning duties with pride. Sometimes a hero doesn't need a dog park: just open space, fresh air, and a mission

Staircase to the Sky

What a well planned beautiful park in Santa Clarita. There is something for everyone. Was impressed to see the giant staircase to the sky. Great workout spot, if you are so inclined. Perhaps I'll give it a try on another day. There is plenty of parking.

SCV Home & Garden Show at Central Park

Surprisingly, it had been nearly 2 years since I last visited Central Park until yesterday for the annual SCV Home & Garden Show this past Sunday. A yearly tradition for my wife and I greatly enjoyed the stroll through numerous vendors and tent offerings this year. My last visit prior was to observe the total solar eclipse of August 21, 2017. There were so many kind individuals with the proper shaded glasses and telescope setups, graciously allowing any and everyone a view through their devices. Jackie and I hopped in line for several views. Great atmosphere and experience. We've taken Prince to the dog park here on numerous occasions, and my youngest son was a regular at the basketball courts during his high school years. Even still meeting up with friends there to play a few games every now and then. Nice hiking opportunities as well around the perimeter trail, with regular softball and soccer games going on at several fields throughout. And during summer months, Concerts in the Park offering all genres of popular music by various cover bands is attended by thousands for free every Saturday afternoon. With plenty of parking, a great gathering place for family outings.

What a fun event! Tequila and Taco Music Festival turned out to be lots of fun. Plenty of parking was available and the entrance was close by. We waited on a long line at the entrance and to go through security but it went quickly and the staff were friendly. The other patrons were also very friendly. (Maybe because they were a bit happy with the delicious margaritas!!!) It was a beautiful day in the sun with a variety of booths set up with food, drinks and wares. Live music from "Bruno and the Hooligans" had us up front and center dancing and singing. They were fabulous singing Bruno Mars, hence the name, and a few Amy Winehouse tunes. The watermelon margaritas were delicious! My friend had the spicy pineapple one. A dark cloud gathered above us as the sky opened up and began to pour. We continued to dance and sing laughing about the rain. Definitely a fun filled afternoon. So glad I went!

If you are ever in Santa Clarita Central Park is must to visit. The park has so much to offer. From walking paths, hiking trails, basketball courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, off leash park, community garden, youth grove and playground. The park is well maintained and clean. Parking is always available. The community has summer concerts at this park on Saturday evenings. We immediately feel in love with Central Park.

I love, love, love this park! I come here all the time! From concerts, to hikes, games, food vendors, riding bikes, roller skates, walking my doggies and getting fresh air! This park is my favorite spot in scv. I've been bringing my doggies here since they were babies and we love it.

Nice place to hike if you just want to hike for 20mins. Nothing exiting but basic place to just unwind and have a fresh air.

Ask the Community - Central Park

Does this park have a volleyball court?

I didn't see a Volleyball Court here. Fair Oaks Park has one if it's still there.

Does this park have any barbeque grills? Thank you!

Reaching the waterfall is not for the faint of heart. You climb uphill, descend back down, reach a small waterfall, and then go through it to finally arrive at Whitney Waterfall. It's a bit sketchy, definitely thrilling, and absolutely worth it but only if you're prepared. Hiking shoes are a must. This trail is not recommended for kids or beginner hikers due to steep and slippery sections. It was 48 degrees and freezing cold today, so check the weather before you go and layer up. Also, there are no restrooms, so plan ahead. If you're looking for a raw, adventurous hike with a rewarding waterfall at the end, this one delivers.

It is located next to the freeway in Santa Clarita. I have been eyeing this trail/park for months and I am glad I crossed this on my All trails hiking list. I came on a late Monday morning and it was bloody windy (~45 mph) with a cool temp of 64 degrees. This park has multiple trials including Elsmere Trail. WCP has a wide track trail through a canyon that was known for oil drilling and ranching some of its remnants are still visible. Its trail has little to no tree shade but the trailhead was kept clear. I have seen some hikers (family and kids) and bikers along the way; most are friendly and nice. Parking lot is huge with no shades. Trash bins are available. Overall, it's a nice easy park to go hiking. I recommend it.

When we run errands, or go to lunch, we now look for a nearby neighborhood or park to explore. Today brought us to Valencia. When I searched for "largest park", Heritage appeared. After running errands and before dinner, we went walking. After parking in the large, free lot, we went towards the restrooms to prep for our hour long constitutional. We set a timer for 30 minutes and off we set towards the San Fransiquito Creek Trail along the northwest edge of the park. We had no idea how well paved, well marked and how, well...LONG this trail is! We walked for 30 minutes north, past homes and communities, then turned back before we could even see anywhere NEAR the end of the trail at Copper Hill Dr. Along the way we passed many a happy walker, jogger, puppy dog, and cyclists enjoying the final golden minutes of the day and this lovely area preserved for our recreation. By the time we returned to the actual park, soccer practice and flag football began occupying the fields. Many more youths had taken to the playground and a few adults had settled into the tables at the picnic area. As we left, we agreed it was a great walk and a beautiful location we look forward to traversing again, next time following the trail in the opposite direction. Cheers! "CC"
