    Cool colors on the playground

Picturesque park in a beautiful area near Copper Hill in Valencia...I mean, it's on Sunset Hill dr...and the sunset was spectacular. When we parked, we immediately noticed the meandering paths that eventually ley up to the picnic area, baseball field and play structures. The structures were nature inspired with a beautiful orange vreen and yellow colors. The grass was so plush and green amd we were greeted by friendly patrons who just had a team party. My son loved running up the windy path. He went straight to the sand area (decent size) and moved on to the smaller play structure. This structure was awesome...so many areas for busy little hands to manipulate and figure out. There was also a 'track' for kids to roll their own car/ball or train down. Robbie brought his Coco (chuggington) and had a blast. There was also an adaptive swing set and a larger play structure for older kids. We loved this park amd will be back.

Park fun far from the street, one of the few tables not covered by wood but still by shade

Nice clean park in my neighborhood that looks like new! They've got a few different playground equipment for the kiddos, soccer fields, baseball fields, picnic benches, and bathrooms. All of this is nestled in lush, grassy fields and far from the street corner it's on. You can't even see or hear the cars passing by, which is nice to not have to worry about them being near your kids. There's also a big parking lot here, plus street parking if for some reason it happens to fill up. I saw signs for something called Parkmobile that comes here on Monday afternoons. It looked like there were crafts and snacks for the kiddos to do, and I didn't see anything about a cost. That's a cool idea. I came here for my doggie walk. There's plenty of sidewalks and grassy areas for him to walk around on, lot's of fun smells. And the parks and rec department in charge of this park is kind enough to leave doggie bags here too. I think he'd give this place 5 stars too! Santa Clarita needs more parks and it has gotten one in this!

We came to Valencia to visit some friends for a few days. After being indoors we decided to take a stroll to this nearby park with the kids. This park is very beautiful, clean and peaceful. Perfect for kids to play games with one another. Parking was very convenient, with many available parking spaces. I would definitively come back and bring the kids once the construction is over. I really recommend this place for anyone that lives in the area.

This park was originally a County of Los Angeles park and now ownership/management has been under the City of Santa Clarita for over a year. The grounds, athletic fields and landscaping has improved greatly since a City of Santa Clarita park. Parkmobile comes on Monday afternoon The pool across the street is not part of the park, contrary to the photo posted here.

Love this park. There is so much grass to run and play in and plenty of trees for some shade too.

Reaching the waterfall is not for the faint of heart. You climb uphill, descend back down, reach a small waterfall, and then go through it to finally arrive at Whitney Waterfall. It's a bit sketchy, definitely thrilling, and absolutely worth it but only if you're prepared. Hiking shoes are a must. This trail is not recommended for kids or beginner hikers due to steep and slippery sections. It was 48 degrees and freezing cold today, so check the weather before you go and layer up. Also, there are no restrooms, so plan ahead. If you're looking for a raw, adventurous hike with a rewarding waterfall at the end, this one delivers.

It is located next to the freeway in Santa Clarita. I have been eyeing this trail/park for months and I am glad I crossed this on my All trails hiking list. I came on a late Monday morning and it was bloody windy (~45 mph) with a cool temp of 64 degrees. This park has multiple trials including Elsmere Trail. WCP has a wide track trail through a canyon that was known for oil drilling and ranching some of its remnants are still visible. Its trail has little to no tree shade but the trailhead was kept clear. I have seen some hikers (family and kids) and bikers along the way; most are friendly and nice. Parking lot is huge with no shades. Trash bins are available. Overall, it's a nice easy park to go hiking. I recommend it.

The staircase was the first feature I noticed the first time I passed by at night. I could see something in the distance that resembled the Mulholland aqueduct cascading down the Newhall Pass near my home. So on this beautiful Wednesday evening, we headed to Central Park to "investigate" the lights at the back of the park. How cool! We arrived just as the late afternoon sun was descending o're the horizon and the clouds were moving from white to pink, to grey, to pink, to peach, to orange. Gorgeous! Perfect timing to see the beginning of the "River of Lights" that caught my eye. A beautiful array of 214 programmable lights that seem to "flow" in ever changing colors from the flag pole at the top of the exercise staircase down, down, down the 172 steps and into a main plaza, lined with benches and trees, to encircle a lovely 2025 art installation entitled "When Cloud Met A Cloud" by Sujin Lim. The overall effect is rain falling, cascading down and evaporating into the clouds to cycle again. It's so pretty! Along the plaza are educational displays from the SCV water Agency, highlighting the importance water has in our lives. It does INDEED resemble what we in the SFV see on the "other side" of these hills, as the aqueduct flows into our valley. I may not attempt this staircase walk anytime soon, but we did enjoy walking the forged trail around the park and seeing all the people - and lots of free parking! - utilizing this space. Signs are posted to remind you to watch for rattlesnakes, so hike with care. Cheers! "CC"

When we run errands, or go to lunch, we now look for a nearby neighborhood or park to explore. Today brought us to Valencia. When I searched for "largest park", Heritage appeared. After running errands and before dinner, we went walking. After parking in the large, free lot, we went towards the restrooms to prep for our hour long constitutional. We set a timer for 30 minutes and off we set towards the San Fransiquito Creek Trail along the northwest edge of the park. We had no idea how well paved, well marked and how, well...LONG this trail is! We walked for 30 minutes north, past homes and communities, then turned back before we could even see anywhere NEAR the end of the trail at Copper Hill Dr. Along the way we passed many a happy walker, jogger, puppy dog, and cyclists enjoying the final golden minutes of the day and this lovely area preserved for our recreation. By the time we returned to the actual park, soccer practice and flag football began occupying the fields. Many more youths had taken to the playground and a few adults had settled into the tables at the picnic area. As we left, we agreed it was a great walk and a beautiful location we look forward to traversing again, next time following the trail in the opposite direction. Cheers! "CC"
